There was an electric buzz that sounded from above the bed. Melissa's head was in pieces, and she just wanted to scream but her throat was dry. Instead, she let the pain dull slightly as she sat up and rubbed her eyes. The first thing realized when her vision cleared, after the searing headache, of course, was the pain. Well, the lack of pain. The fact that her head was aching was alarming because ONLY her head was aching. The burning sensation from before was gone. Her eyes shot down to her forearms and realized that the burning ruins were gone. Her skin was smooth, dry and in dire need of a kelp treatment, but smooth.
