Chapter 14 - Loan & Infiltrate III

"Seriously?!" Akira thought as he gazed upon the figure attempting to rescue him from his abductors. "What is he doing here?"

"I can't believe the amount of trouble this guy gets himself into on a daily basis!" Hikaru exclaimed within himself as he tried to fight off the men around his 'damsel in distress'.

Hikaru was skilled in hand-to-hand combat. His area of expertise was Judo, though he no longer participated in his school's judo club. This was why the delinquents around him frequently called him out to help with their fights. But still, no matter how good a fighter, he was still no match for a taser than caught him unawares from behind.

"Shit!" He exclaimed as he felt his body gradually go numb, and his knees give in.

He intended to aid his classmate, but now he was being dragged off along with him. A handkerchief drenched in a sedative was forcibly placed over his nose and mouth. Soon, both of them were down unconscious.

"Well this is embarrassing." Hikaru thought, as his consciousness slowly faded, and his eyes closed shut.

"So what do you want to do with the other one?"

"I don't know. We only needed the foreign looking one,"

"I guess we could just use him as a prop, or have them go together. He isn't too bad looking so he could pass for a pitcher."

"I guess that'll be fine with boss."

As his eyes slowly peeled open, his ears made out a conversation between two other men that seemed to be in another room, with the door slightly ajar.

"Where am I?" He first thought to himself, just before all his memories from within the last two hours or so came rushing back. He was not fond of this recollection, because that meant he had just been kidnapped. "Well this sucks."

He wriggled around before noticing the binds that greatly restricted his movements. His hands were bound by a zip tie behind his back, and around a vertical metal pole. He scanned the room for possible escape points when he came across the still figure of the 'damsel' he had intended to rescue.

He gave a small sigh of relief as soon as he noticed the body was breathing. He turned and skimmed the area, pinning every detail to the back of his mind. It was a bit dark, but he knew the space was wide. Several crates and boxes covered with sheets lay randomly scattered around. "Maybe a warehouse?" He surmised, still scanning around for any openings or unguarded doors, and windows.

He started to fiddle with the retrains on his hands when he found a small window in the room adjacent to the one the two men were discussing in. He only wondered how he'd get Akira through safely with him. "Should I just go and then get help?" He pondered, staring intently at the only available opening in the area.

"Don't bother,"

The quiet voice of Akira had startled him a little. He wasn't aware of when he'd gotten up. It seemed like he had actually been awake for quite a long while now.

"You're awake," He muttered, glancing around Akira's body to access if there were any injuries that may be present.

"There's a camera in that room," Akira continued, moving into a more comfortable position that would give him less pain from his restraints as he glanced at the window as well. Unlike Hikaru, his legs had been bound as well, and instead of zip ties, he was bound with rope. "As soon as you enter, they'll be alerted, and you'll have no time to finish getting through."

"Oh? Then how do you suppose we get out of here then?" Hikaru retorted, half wondering how he'd known that, and a little surprised with Akira's change in tone. When he had talked to him in class, he gave off the impression of silent and meek. But now he seemed more of silent and callous.

"Just wait," Akira responded, turning back to face the room with the men talking. "They've been going on talking about their boss visiting. When he arrives, that'll be our chance."

"Shouldn't we avoid being here when their boss arrives?" Hikaru asked, doubting his logic.

"These men have guns," Akira exhaled, still irritated at his light fatigue. "When he arrives, they'll be too distracted. That's when we make a run for the door at the corner."

Hikaru followed Akira's gaze to a hidden closed door at the back, which blended perfectly into the darkness. He hadn't noticed it there earlier. 'So how did he?' He wondered, as he returned his gaze to Akira.

"But first, how do we get out?" Hikaru questioned, raising his right eyebrow as he used his eyes to gesture towards Akira's restraints.

Akira returned his furrowed look as he glanced down at the restraints that bound Hikaru's hands that were now undone. He had managed to free himself during their silent conversation.

Realizing Akira had noticed his removed restraints, he held back a scoff and instead gave a small smirk. 'He's attentive,' He made a mental note after profiling Akira for a bit.

"So, how long do you think we have to wait for?" Hikaru inquired, shrugging his shoulders, but was cut off by the commotion that was now going on.

The two men who had been discussing stood, and left the room they were in. While one remained standing in the space they were in, the other planted himself outside the main door, leading to the passage way, waiting to welcome someone.

"Not long," Akira said as he began to secretly fiddle with his restraints as well.
