Oh look, the plane's headed straight for the ground.
Wait, what?!
Oh yeah, maybe I should explain. So basically, it's really simple. I'm a 15-year-old male pokemon fan on my way back from Spain with my dad. And the plane is heading towards the ground. Meaning…
I'm gonna die.
Well, life was fun while it lasted. And you know how people always say that their lives flash before their eyes? That is not true at all. Only a single memory came to mind. The day I first learned of Pokemon, way back a whole decade ago. Exactly one decade ago.
------------------FLASHBACK------------------
Kindergarten. Aftercare. Having no idea what to do. So, I looked for someone I knew. I found my friend, playing real life Pokemon with an older kid. I played with them all day. It was great. We played every day. Until the older kid left the school. But we still played. I was five years old again.Â
------------------FLASHBACK END------------------
And the real world hit me. Quite literally and quite hard. Hard enough to crush my skull, actually.
And behold, I was surrounded by the sky and clouds. And a grown man in a white, heavenly robe was standing before me.
"Hello, Daniel. I have been waiting for you," the man said.
I decided to be polite for now, so I asked, "May I know who I'm talking to?"
He laughed and said, "You don't need to act out of your way to be polite, Daniel. I am the one you worship. The omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, God Almighty."
I immediately fell to my knees and said, "I'm so sorry! I didn't realize!"
He laughed again and said, "It's ok! Not many realize who I am at first glance. You know Daniel, I had really big plans for you had you not died. So, I will give you 3 wishes for what you want in Heaven."
I thought carefully about these, and finally I came upon the perfect 3 wishes that suited me.
"Wish number 1 is that I am reborn as a 13-year-old male named Black into the Pokemon World, specifically into the region of Kalos. Wish number 2 is for an AI System in my brain that shows stats, bonds, and gives me my memories. And wish number 3 is to be able to have my right eye become ice blue when I get serious in a battle, allowing my bond with my pokemon to be heightened, thus increasing their strength," I said.
"Beautiful. Wonderful. These wishes truly suit you," God said.
Then, a virtual screen appeared in front of me where I could customize how I looked, and my starter. Naturally, I made myself look as cool as I could. My normal skin, black, and black, spiky hair. However, I was torn between Chimchar and Froakie, but I decided on Froakie. I should be able to find a Chimchar elsewhere, right?
"Your system shall be in the form of the watch that you have worn for years. It won't be able to break, so you won't need to worry about that. Also, you won't need to sleep. None of the Pokemon trainers sleep in the games. I shall see you again soon," God said, waving.
And I woke up on the ground, in a forest, next to a river. Thankfully, God gave me a black cloak along with a black shirt and black pants. Perfection. I looked around, and there wasn't really anything to see, other than a black pouch on the ground a few feet away. I picked it up, and hooked it to my pants. I looked inside, and it was bottomless. I reached inside and pulled out a pokeball. I released the pokemon inside, and it was a Froakie. Remembering about the watch, I checked it and saw its stats.

"Hello, Froakie. Nice to meet ya," I said to him.
"Froooookie!" he said back.
"If I were to give you a nickname, would Fronja be okay?" I asked.
"Froo," he responded, nodding.
"Alright, Fronja. Let's get stronger than ever!" I shouted.
"Froakie!" he shouted back.
