Chapter 1 - Capther 1: Is the teacher a werewolf ?!

Clarice was very nervous when she first entered the classroom as a teacher. Although she loved the teaching profession, she had had little experience as a teacher in schools in large cities, as she graduated from a rural college where she was well liked by everyone. There, schools were more humble, with few students, as the vast majority gave up to help their parents in their jobs. Upon entering the classroom, Clarice looked for a chalk, but soon came across a digital chalkboard "ah ... what a humiliation, right on my first day", she thought. Some students pretended not to notice, however, others whispered. Everything seemed chaotic, when a girl with long, curly and black hair, with honey-colored eyes, got up from her wallet in the front row, and was willing to teach the teacher how to turn on the digital whiteboard, in addition to give some tips on how to use it too. The girl was a little bigger than Clarice, who was about 159 cm tall.

- Thank you so much ... are you?

-Amalia. - replied the girl politely, leaving her air of superiority. Then she turned and sat down at the table again, while Clarice started her presentation.

- Good afternoon everyone, my name is Clarice and ... I am your new biology teacher. - Some students were delighted with Clarice's brown hair, which went up to her shoulder, plus, when she smiled, her eyes closed. - As many here already know, Professor Moisés, after being attacked by an animal, was seriously injured, and with that he had to ask for leave of work. Let's get started ... - Before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by a seemingly short boy with rather messy hair, his green eyes a little reminiscent of someone who seemed to have just woken up.

- It wasn't just any animal, it was a werewolf! - exclaimed the boy. Everyone in the class laughed, except for their two faithful companions, one tall with freckles, and the other very cute, but naive. Amália promptly interrupted the boy.

- Arthur, I've told you thousands of times not to pester our history teacher! Clearly you are jealous of him because he is very handsome and intelligent, and you are not even close to that. - She said.

Speechless and stuttering Arthur struggled to give an adequate answer. Normally he was very good with words and convinced the class to do a lot of crazy things through his precious dialectic. However, when it came to Amália, as clever as Arthur was, he always stuttered.

- You're only defending him because you have a crush on him. But inside he is a wild beast ready to devour you all! - Apparently Arthur's comparison had suffered an opposite effect than expected. The girls rolled their eyes and sighed imagining the teacher as the heartthrob of films that the protagonist must resist the desire to feed on his beloved.

Clarice made the students turn their attention to the class quickly. In the end, you can't help but think about the topic discussed during class "is it really possible for werewolves to exist?" and, "would this history teacher be a werewolf?" She couldn't wait to find this much-talked-about teacher. As Clarice left the room, she bumped into what looked like a man of medium height and black hair. Initially he did not notice his face, as he was picking up his things from the floor.

- I'm sorry, I'll help you. - He said. Clarice finally turned and looked at a handsome man with a stubble. A distinguished figure that even reminded a detective of one of the Korean dramas she liked so much. But this guy didn't seem like the tough guy.

- Are you the new biology teacher? - Asked the man.

- Yes, very pleased, my name is Clarice. And you must be the history teacher that the students comment so much. - Surprised by a statement made, the boy stuttered a little and adjusted his glasses.

- My goodness! No, no. You must be referring to Professor Caleb, I don't know why the children thought about him, but I'm sure that, despite everything, he is a good person. - He said.

Clarice smiled, but had a certain phrase in her mind "despite everything". "Is this teacher a troublemaker?" she thought to herself. When she was about to leave, she noticed that the man had not said his name to her, so she turned and lightly touched him on the shoulders.

- Excuse me, you didn't say your name ...

- Eden, my name is Eden.

- Eden ... - "It's a beautiful name ..., control yourself Clarice, just because you haven't seen a man in a long time, it doesn't mean that you should throw yourself at the first handsome guy that is kind to you", she thought. Then she greeted him and walked quickly to the teachers' room with her face completely flushed.

When she arrived in front of the teachers' room, she stopped and looked out the window, the room seemed to be empty, then she went in and closed the door, leaning on it to slide as she sighed. When Clarice found herself and looked ahead, she was startled to see a tall, dark-skinned man with snow-white hair, who had some golden ornaments that looked like they belonged to some pharaoh. Then the man in front of him took a sip of what looked like coffee, as he stared at her with those golden, defiant eyes that seemed to judge and reprove her intensely. Then, as if almost obligatorily, he said:

- Welcome to Wolf's Claw school, coffee? He lifted the cup out of courtesy.

- Sim, obrigado!

The man snuck into Clarice's cup and said:

- What kind of monster does not put sugar in coffee?

- What kind of monster puts a sugar truck in the coffee shop? - Clarice replied with a frown.

- They say that only psychopaths drink coffee without sugar. - He suggested, while taking another sip.

- Yeah, the kind of psychopath who sighs at the door and crawls to the floor. - She said in a low voice, trying to hide her smile.

Soon a beautiful tall, blond woman with long hair, defined body, and a lipstick so red that you would notice it from miles away is interrupted by the entrance.

- Clarice are you? The director is calling you.

- Ah yes! Thank you! - Clarice hurriedly headed towards the principal's office, but managed to hear the sensual woman in the background initiating a conversation with the man who was in the teachers' room. Something like, "You weren't teasing her, were you?", Seemed very intimate.

- You can sit down. - Said the director.

Clarice sat politely, looked calm.

- What did you think of the school? - He asked.

- Very beautiful, spacious too. I noticed that despite having several floors, students only move through the first two. - Clarice said.

- That's because the third floor is reserved for the night crowd. - The director adjusted himself in the chair.

- Oh yes, That is OK. - Clarice said, looking around.

- Here are the documents, I need you to sign here and here, please. - The director pointed to the places where Clarice should sign.

As she was signing the papers, a question popped into her mind. So he decided to bring it up.

- About Professor Caleb ... there are some rumors about him at school, some students creating theories.

The director laughed.

- Do not worry about it, these children today have a very fertile imagination. - He approached her and spoke in a low voice.

- You believe they even said they saw a girl early in the morning over the school clock, see if you can. He went on laughing, but then stopped with a cough to cover it up.

When she returned to the teachers' room, she hoped to find the man of dubious personality and the sensual blonde talking, but they were no longer present, in fact, the room was empty. "It must be their class time," she thought. Soon a well-known figure arrived, it was Eden, he was very thoughtful while playing with his stubble.

- Eden?

- Oh, hi! Clarice ... right?

- Exactly! - Clarice replied with a smile and involuntary jumping.

- Resting a little bit before the next class, isn't it?

- Yes! All those papers to read and sign, left me exhausted. Thankfully, being a teacher is something I love as long as I can remember.

- I say the same, be a teacher, take care of my garden, and write whenever I can.

- Are you a writer? - Clarice looked curious.

- In my spare time, but here I am just a simple writing teacher.

- You're being humble, stop it! - Clarice took the liberty of patting him on the back. - Both laughed and talked for a long time until Clarice went to teach her class to the next class. At the end of the day, Clarice did not see Caleb again, apparently there was something unexpected and he had to leave early.

The next day, she noticed that the noisy boy was not in the classroom and then asked the class, but no one knew about Arthur's whereabouts.

- He said he was going to prove that Professor Caleb was a werewolf once and for all, so he stayed hidden in school until the time of night class. After that we had no more news. - Said one of Arthur's friends, the tall boy. The whole room began to whisper, some believed that Arthur had not been able to find evidence he was ashamed to go to school, others already thought that the teacher had devoured him.

Clarice then proceeded with her class, but in the end she went to the teachers' room hoping to find a teacher to ask if he knew anything ..., but on the way he heard comments that Professor Caleb had also not gone to school. school. She then hurried her steps and went to the principal's office.

- A student of mine did not go to class today, Arthur. - Said Clarice.

- This boy is really problematic, tomorrow he must be around. Despite being a troublemaker, his grades are good, and he is not crazy about missing more. This guy has accumulated many fouls already. - The director replied with a little negligence.

- But the boys said he stayed up until night at school. - Clarice pointed out.

- He what!? I take back what I said, this boy is totally crazy! - The director lost his composure and in his fright he dropped his water bottle and the director's plate on the table.

- Why? What's on the night shift? - Clarice asked curiously.

- Who attends is only the elite of the elite, or very intelligent people. It is a type of special education, so the third floor is reserved for them. - Said the director in a low voice wiping the sweat with his handkerchief.

- Can you call his family? She asked.

- He only has a mother who lives drunk. - Said the director. But Clarice still insisted until the director called.

After several minutes of waiting, a boy answered.

- Hello, the Loyals' residence.

- Arthur? Is that you? This is Professor Clarice, I called to ask if everything is okay.

- Ah, Professor Clarice ... everything is fine, why the question?

- Well, you didn't go to school today, and ... your friends said you went to school yesterday night shift. - Clarice heard a male voice whisper in the background.

- Ah ... about that, I went to visit, to see what it was like. I received a proposal to study on the night shift, I wanted to talk to the night director and Professor Caleb asked me to come at that time.

- Did you see? Case solved. - Said the director. But Clarice still stood back because she heard a suspicious voice in the background. Since Arthur lived only with his mother. And the strangest thing about all this was that the voice reminded me of the man who was in the teachers' room sipping his cup of coffee.
