Chapter 30 - A tracker for a sorceress

Damn it.

The rigid member of the female mouth became the investor. Richard was moaning with pleasure and panting. Faith! The young woman looked at him proudly to see him panting. Richard understood her satisfaction in showing that she could be as bold as he was in the war between the sexes. And rightly so.

God! She was not shy. It was indeed too bold. With unexpected agility, he laid her down on the bed. He was so close ... She glued herself from behind, settling his body close to hers when placing the rigid and pulsating member between her thighs, taking care not to penetrate her. His hands caressed her more intimately as he moved with fervour. It was a temptation.

And even then the pleasure wasn't enough. He wanted...Just sex was suddenly not so satisfying.

-I think I managed to change your opinion about kisses, dear. - Richard teased. Embittered. By the gods. I would get drunk. He had every right to do so;

Faith contracted as the body seemed to ignite with it provoking.

Changed the opinion?

Oh, she didn't even know, she was sure it would melt in his hands. A louder, louder groan from Richard made her sigh. could feel his breathing fast and faster. It was a moment of lucidity that almost left her in a panic. What if that delicious folly left traces? Some maids even commented on the use of herbs to prevent pregnancy. All the reasoning seemed to evaporate when he was caught up in spasms again. A louder, lower groan escaped the man as he pressed her against him. Richard allowed himself to be satisfied with the desire and closed his eyes as he collapsed on her completely immobile, his body finding momentary relief, with a strangled cry.

There were minutes of silence. She tensed in concern, feeling his weight on her, completely still. Her breath was still a quick gasp. Only he didn't move. Her impression was...

.I killed the man! What did I do? That was her thought stunned, not knowing what to do.

She was quiet and stopped without knowing how to act. Anyway, he was too big and heavy on her to be able to keep him away. Another more suffocating idea still alarmed her. Had he died? Of all the nonsense had ever done ... God! How was going to explain that? He had shuddered in convulsions and collapsed on top of her. Worse than that. He had noticed the hot, thick liquid that ran between his legs. Mercy! At the very least, they were going to hang her when they found the captain dead. She was barely seventeen.

What about Cassie, the younger sister alone and lost? She swallowed with a low sob, refusing to cry disconsolately. Richard caught the sound very low and rolled over onto his side, bringing the girl close to him in a daze.

God? What was she doing?

-Faith? he called in alarm.

He had acted like a pirate without any qualms. In the beginning, all wanted to do was teach a lesson. She hid, letting him nestle next to her. He was fighting bravely against tears.

-Are you okay?

-I thought ... I thought ... You are alive.

The reply made Richard raise his eyebrow in a groan.

He smiled, understanding what was going on in her mind so daring and smells of antics. He was still a teenager playing adult games.

- I think I will enjoy dying like that. - He joked with good humour. - I will love to provide more ammo so you can try ...Your sister tried and almost succeeded;

Faith was still in his strong arms, hiding her face in his chest after the man had made her turn to him.

Richard contained an astonishing groan. could start over again very easily. His body protested the urge to bury herself in it, savouring the pleasures that the girl could offer. Resigned, he pulled the covers up to snuggle her. It was hard to get to sleep that night enjoying the young woman asleep in his arms.

Richard did not side with a woman after he had experienced satisfaction with his desires. At all costs, he avoided any kind of involvement that might compel him to a wedding. Only that girl ...His hand slid light as a feather under a curl of black hair that fell over her forehead. The proximity of it pleased him more than it should.

Sir! The girl was a witch.

How would you maintain a relationship as a wolf? Restless, he allowed himself to think. It was amazing how perfectly she fits with him. she would love to snuggle inside him to find deep sleep. Muttering mentally, he closed his eyes, fighting insomnia.

-Cassie would never demand money... She always liked you. You have to believe...

He had violated one of his most sacred rules. Never allow yourself to be so intimate after his desire has been assuaged. Tired, he gave up thinking about what he was going to do. he was just sure. I wasn't going to take you back to Scarlet. Not as long as the marriage contract with Kaios was valid. Without waiting, he found an enemy capable of causing him many mishaps. Only the sleeping girl in his arms was his. Very different from Cassie who had abandoned him.

A feeling of possession he had never experienced before enveloped him with satisfaction. He would see to it that the contract was cancelled if the Council intended him to occupy the clan's overlord position. With Cassie by his side. That would be non-negotiable. It was simply a condition. He was repeating old Morgan's mistakes more than he liked.

He hoped wouldn't regret it like any pack, Scarlet was a strong clan. The pack had chosen the new successor to lead the wolves. They were waiting for the alpha's mate to be chosen. The closest relatives were the betas. The title of alpha and leadership was passed from father to son, and when there were no heirs, there was combat to determine the chosen one.

An omega was always alone, a lost wolf. You must show respect. The complex organization and dynamics were sophisticated and always rooted in ancient traditions. The organization was instrumental in defending and searching for food. An alpha's leadership was based on his ability to win battles and his ferocity.

Thalagar was fed up with it all. As a lone wolf, he was generally humiliated by the other members, receiving unwarranted violence and aggression during fights between packs. The antagonism became so strong that he decided to live isolated from the other wolves. He sighed as he crouched in the middle of the clearing, his dark eyes revealing only contempt and indifference to abandoned bodies.

Richard Morgan was the alpha by succession, but it was up to him, a simple and despised omega, to track down hunters. There was Philip who craved the mantle of leadership. The combat there had been fought by sorcerers. The features were unmistakable as he watched the victims with scorched eyes. Thalagar shook his head with a sigh. Despite the unrecognizable state of the body, he managed to identify the fallen old man who had his body abandoned in a simple ditch. Cursing! It was damned!

The pack shaman was banished from the wolves a few years after disagreements with the Council of Elders. Again, as always, he wondered why he hadn't completely abandoned the pack to form his own. There was a reason that still kept him in Scarlet. The girl. Kassuim was about to turn fifteen. Thalagar hoped that this time William would agree to give him his adopted daughter. The girl had grown up on their ship.

He wasn't a fool. The girl was brought by the wolves for some reason. She had unusual abilities. She would be powerful. Thalagar could not believe the council's ignorance of fearing the girl. It would have been natural to keep her close to them, or maybe even choose her as the alpha's mate. The elders didn't think so. The girl was of mixed race. He'd heard few comments about half-breeds, but he'd imagined her importance when he'd learned to master both magic and the ability to shape-shift.

It was another hell!

Cassie was very suspicious. The strong personality was difficult to control or manipulate.

The dead man in front of him was guilty of it. The enchanted shaman cast a spell on the girl that inhibited her ability as a wolf. The result was surprising. The wolf skill was able to emerge at times with intensity and at those times she was far from gentle or affectionate. She was an aggressive, angry wolf who didn't trust anyone. Such occasions were rare.

He believed this was one of the reasons the girl was kept away from the castle. They feared the alpha's closeness would intensify their gift with the coming adolescence. Oh, pheromone! Thalagar knew her scent better than anyone. He was a lone wolf that surrounded his victim waiting for the attack. He just needed patience.

For the most part, Cassie could be sociable with the predominant sorceress personality. Thalagar, however, had a serious problem. He was a man. Years of experience had shown him something that irritated him. The girl naturally felt attracted to the pack's alpha. He imagined the surprise if Richard Morgan discovered that the pack had hidden him without anyone knowing a wolf ready to wake him.

This girl would be his. And once Thalagar had it, he would abandon the pack to form his own as the dominant alpha. He knew his limits. As tempting as the idea was, Morgan would never win in fair combat to claim his privileged position. Even philip avoided his brother.

- They're all dead. A husky voice echoed through the clearing and was accompanied by laughter.

Thalagar looked up and stared silently at Corner. It was his first mate and something else. Thalagar admired well-built young women, but the attraction to boys had always been a total disgrace in his life. He would have to find a way to ensure that Corner accepted his decision to join Kassuim without increasing his lover's anger and jealousy.

-Wizards! It was to be hoped that they would leave no survivors! - the comment was brief and dry. - White Order Sentinels never leave survivors. Macgrover is not a very tolerant man." Corner smiled happily, realizing that his job here was no longer necessary.

It meant they would have time on land before the captain ordered the men back to the ship. The spoils divided among the privateers after the last approach brought advantageous advantages that he intended to spend on the purchase of new weapons. Perhaps this time Thalagar would decide to stay in one of the four rooms of Monsieur Garro's tavern. The smile on his face widened in anticipation as he stared at the captain longer than necessary.

-Do I order the bodies to be burned as usual? The crew will want some time to have fun and spend. - The warning was full of implications.

Thalagar raised an eyebrow, understanding the meaning behind the warning. One of the skills Corner had to please him was always his vigour. He was a man of violent temper. Canto never complained. Naturally, he could find time to satisfy his lover's needs, venting his wild libido aroused by the thought of Kassuim.

Corner would be able to ease his tension with foolish and frustrating searches of the region. There was no sign of the smugglers the Succession was looking for.

- Make a fire and burn it all down without a trace, man. - He ordered with a dark and loaded look.

Corner looked at him, understanding more than anyone else's clouded, charged gaze on his lover. Thalagar was a type of man who was turned on by violence. He had often told her that the pleasure he took in killing his victims was irresistible. He knew with satisfaction that the captain would not be content to wait to satisfy his desire. The thought alone flattered him. After being abandoned by his lover, Philip Morgan...

-Should I help the men at work? he asked with veiled provocation.

Thalagar watched him, experiencing the excitement the first mate always brought him. He was a man who liked to dominate and Corner was an excellent submissive. This time, he had better things in mind to take care of until they reached the city.

-No! You will satisfy me in another way. - The answer was hoarse and low. Let the men do the work and come. You know what I intend to do.

Corner chuckled with satisfaction, noticing the lover's excitement in front of him. His eyes gleamed with anticipation.

-I wouldn't expect less from you, Thalagar!

At least for Thalagar, he came before ambition and power.

-The girl is alive...- The voice was dragged between sighs of pain.
