Chapter 1 - 1 ~ Dark Age

The door clicked sharply two more times. The boy standing at the door was tired of waiting, waiting for his friend Erez, and it wasn't the first time he was waiting.

After a few minutes, the door finally opened, and in front of him, Hasley Parbator saw his newly awakened friend, Erez, whose eyes were burred.

Gnawing on the biscuit in his hand, he entered without asking and struck his friend Erez on the head with his back turned.

"Today is Saturday, you have a word, we are going to the market."

Erez followed Hasley behind him, his expression shouting that he had just woken up and didn't want to go anywhere.

Normally this was a sword tattoo shop, but since the beloved Erez was born, he was working in this shop next to the Topal Galamor his father had seen, and he was lying on a wooden bed upstairs.

Hasley opened the door on the right above the stairs, entered, sat on the iron table, and continued to gnaw the biscuit with one hand.

He pulled his bow from his waist and put an arrow in, aimed at the wooden wall and took out his bills.

"As you see…" the boy said, pointing his eyes at arrows that could not be pierced into the wood.

"I want to buy ten pairs of metal-tipped arrows. These are too old."

"If your stingy father hadn't melted all his iron bowls and sold them to us, you wouldn't have to go to the market." Erez said.

"You have to tell us to go, not to go, because you promised that you would take me with your horse." he answered his friend.

"You have to tell us to go, not to go, because you promised that you would take me with your horse." he answered his friend.

Galamor the master was sleeping upstairs and did not know that his assistant was going to sneak his horse, so they left the shop quietly.

They untied the horse's rope, which was tied to the fences, and set out for the market.

The shop was next to Romsdal and there were more than twenty houses to find.

The three-story house of the Parbator family were the same, except for the two-story 'Pointed Swords from Topal Galamor' Store.

The bazaar was two miles from the shop, and the bazaar could be considered thick even though Romsdal was Mineron's smallest town.

Due to the Goblin and pirate attacks that came with the beginning of the dark age, Romsdal bazaar was also very dim compared to its old days.

When Erez and Hasley arrived at the bazaar, they encountered an unfamiliar sight: normally there were only a few merchants in the bustling bazaar on the first Saturday of each month and most of the shops were closed.

Erez stood before the Timber Imprint and entrusted the horse to Mr. Galov.

"Why hasn't the bird market been established, Mr. Galov?" Erez asked.

"Due to the bandit attack in Rio last Friday, most traders started opening markets in northeastern towns." replied Mr. Galov.

Erez and Hasley left the horse and started wandering around the market.

"So the attacks have started moving eastwards. They will hit Romsdal in two months." Erez said.

"Do you know the child born on Black Sun day will not come?" Hasley added, with a sad grin;

"A legend concocted to give people hope."

Erez didn't care much. He was thinking of the two large chickens that someone working in the bird market owes him. The young man should not have come to Romsdal on the pretext of the attacks.

About ten stalls had opened and there were no more than a hundred people around.

Hasley went to a scrap shop next to the Golden Fish stalls, which normally should open on the first Friday of each month.

He wanted ten pairs of metal-tipped arrows, but he couldn't see any arrows on the linoleum laid down.

"Isn't there an arrow?"

"There is, but not for you." the salesman replied, and pulled out a few dozen red copper-tipped arrows from the wooden case behind him.

"There are these, but you cannot pay for it."

Hasley picked up an arrow and studied it, looking at it as it was making fun in the air.

"How much money is one, sir?"

The seller asked for four Dimans for each.

He handed the twenty-seven dimples from the pocket of his children's cardigan to the seller.

"I can get seven with this." Hasley said.

The arrows were almost four times the price of metal tips, but they were also beautiful enough to be worth it.

"Seven of them need twenty-eight Dimans, you have twenty-seven. Buy six or cover the money." said the salesman.

Hasley asked for a Diman money from Erez, whom he was following, and gave him unwillingly.

Hasley took all seven arrows and they made their way home together.
