Chapter 18 - True-Warrior Contest (3)

Lucie smiled coldly behind his plain white mask that covered her entire face. He nodded slowly behind the dark brown hood that covered his head.

"I betrayed Samsara?" Lucie felt those statement was the most ridiculous joke he had ever heard.

"I think you've forgotten about the rule and agreement, Lycan." Lucie said casually.

Lycan frowned. Not that he forgot, but he never knew there was such a rule nor agreement. What he is talking about? Lycan asked in wonder.

"Go home and ask Lady. What agreement she broke between me and her." Lucie unusually calmed down as he casually folded his arms.

"Don't be silly, Lucie! Lady herself is the rule. Her words were orders. Don't be so arrogant by saying that Lady broke her agreement with you!" Lycan was offended when the person he most respected was slandered.

Lucie sighed a bit. He shook his head a second time as a pity act. "Come on, Lycan. Violation is unacceptable. Lady proven to be violate our small agreement." Lucie didn't want to prolong the debate.

"What agreement did you make with Lady?" Latief took the initiative to ask about the contents of the agreement.

"The Dragons as well as Tanah Agra. Only I can destroy them," said Lucie without the slightest hesitation behind his words.

Hanruo burst into laughter that filled the entire arena. "Come on, Lucie. Occasionally sharing the fun is not that bad. For example, she…" Hanruo grabbed randomly and she was Freya Natalia Grey.

"First warning. Let go of her or I won't hesitate to land a hole on your head." No one was aware since when Silva's weapon in Lucie's hand has turned into a long-barreled rifle. The muzzle of the rifle pointed at Hanruo's head without mercy.

Displeased with Lucie's threat, Hanruo tightened the grip on Freya's thin neck even more. The woman struggled helplessly as oxygen was getting harder and harder to enter her lungs.

One shot was fired by Lucie but not at Hanruo's head, but at the hand that was strangling Freya.

The half-giant figure reflexively let go of Freya and took a few steps back while wincing in pain. His palms looked hollow and bleeding. "Lucie!!!" Hanruo lunged into a rage.

Lucie didn't budge form the original spot. The Silva in his hand responded quicker to become a sword. When Hanruo was very close and his fist with the size of a basketball was in front of Lucie's face, Lucie made one sudden movement.

One extremely deep slash successfully slashed along Hanruo's burly arm. The highly concentrated acid contained in Hanruo's blood suddenly spurted out staining Lucie's mask and robes.

Lucie's brown robe torn apart while his mask looked fine.

"What a cheat you guys used? This kind of lowly trick." Lucie protested. The way he spoke was no longer as serious as before.

"But it's no big deal for you." Latif did not want to stand idly by. Glass bottles filled with suspicious liquid were tossed at Lucie and shattered right around the feet of that plain white masked man.

With Lucie's gaze completely covered by those poison gas, Hanruo took advantage of this opportunity to attack Lucie again. Hanruo's fist landed on top of something hard and was accompanied by a strong gust of wind that blew away the poisonous gas. Hanruo narrowed his eyes when he saw something like a shield blocking between him and Lucie. His fist clearly hit the object hard but the shield wasn't even scratched at all.

From behind the shield, Lucie shown up. The same blade as before seemed to be pulled out from the handle of the shield. Hanruo thought Lucie would swing the sword against him. But his guess was wrong. It was just a cheap trick that Lucie used to manipulate him. The original attack had already been targeted.

Hanruo couldn't dodge and DORRR! One shot was fired by a long-barreled rifle which from the beginning was disguised as the center point of the shield. Furthermore, the surface of the shield, which is wide open, bends forward to form a conical spearhead.

Lucie took a step forward and swung the semi-finished weapon. The tip of the spear's blade only managed to give Hanruo a single light scratch. Lucie had expected that and he was not in hurry. As quickly as he turned the shield's plate into a spearhead, the sword in the other hand was turned into a bar of iron which was then connected to the base of the spear handle. Now Silva's form is more ideal to be called a spear.

Lucie's skill in wielding his spear really took the Dragons by surprise. The way he snatched Hanruo's flesh and skin. The way he spun the weapon with both hands. Then his footsteps each time he moved from the front, to the side and sneaked behind Hanruo's back. It all looked so perfect like a beautiful dance.

It only took a few seconds before Hanruo stood still in a standing position. Samsara's 9th strongest warrior was probably oblivious to his own death. If traced from Hanruo's chest to thighs, there were at least more than hundreds long and short cuts that tore apart the stout muscle of the half-giant figure.

Lucie's last position when finishing her attack was the position with his back to the Dragons. Whether intentional or not, the man seemed to calmly give his back to the people who saw him as an enemy.

Silva's form changed again, and this time into an umbrella. Lucie used it to dispel Hanruo's acid-filled blood droplets from above his head. But, the torrent from the front couldn't be intercepted and was left to stain his robes.

Hanruo's blood splatter brought back the Dragons who were gaping in amazement. In the history of Tanah Agra, there had never been a Dragon warrior who could fought or controlled Silva to such a high degree.

The Dragons plumped in panic when Hanruo's acid-blood met their skin. But strangely there is no strange reaction like those previous deaths.

"This time I'll let you win, Lucie. One day, a traitor like you will surely be killed!" The Lycans withdrew, so do with the rest of the Arinas.

Lucie was too optimistic. The moment he put Silva down, in that minute his chain-like weapon responded to a sudden attack from behind.

Surprise immediately appeared on Arken's and Freya's faces. Perhaps not many recognize that unique shape of sacred-weapon. But as parents, they couldn't possibly forget their own son's sacred-weapon.
