"Dark..."

I look around and see nothing but black

"Where am I?"

"Is anyone- there..?"

As I look into the depths of the darkness I see a figure of a... bo- wait no it's a girl. The shape of a female shaped like a boy. The gentle yet beautiful figure, a tough yet fragile existence.

I reached out my hands to see her doing the same.

"Who are y-"

An intense pain covers my heart and a dark figure starts to surround me. And a familiar sound fills my ears.

The sound of laughter, but the subject of the laughter was none other than me. I'm being laughed at, again.

Someone save me from this sad and lonely dream.

"A dream?"

A sudden realization strikes me. This is a dream, right? It surely must be.

"I'm shaking"

Aha! It was a dream all along. I just have to wake up. Wake me up, please. Someone help me please. Save me, please.

"Please"

I close my eyes and soon enough wake up from the short yet long dream. I was sweating, panting, and even crying.

Emotions overwhelmed me at that one moment.

"You awake now?"

A deep but clear voice fills my head. It was the leader of my guild and one of my close friends, David. Or as I call him, "Dave"

"You've been crying and sweating for a while now"

He was looking at me crying, talk about embarrassing. But wait, if he noticed me crying shouldn't he have woken me up then?

"Why didn't you wake me up?

David looked at me in the eyes and said

"because your m o t h e r"

I forgot that our leader was as immature as an 11-year-old kid who just found out about jokes. sighed, but I was glad that he did that, it cheered me up a bit.

"So? What's up? Are we going dungeon hunting with the gang again?"

"Yeah, so you better hurry up we have been waiting for hours"

"Should've woken me up earlier then!"

"lel ok my bad just go change already"

David left the room to give me some privacy. I did keep the group waiting so I guess I'll go change. After changing I went outside to see the group gathered there. We have a small guild filled with my friends and a few random strangers.

The people that I knew in the group included; David our leader who uses a weapon called the kingmaker., Mitch my closest friend who uses a double-handed sword called the galantine pair Sayu an annoying multi-weapon user who keeps inviting anyone she sees to duel, and lastly Even a clumsy mage who keeps missing all his spells. And then there's me, a bow user who is new to this sort of thing. I can hit my shots but they aren't powerful enough to kill monsters

"Alright, let's go. Let's not waste any more time"

We head off to the forest to find dungeon portals. Portals that lead into these places called dungeons. We take dungeon quests to kill off monsters and to find any treasure worth taking home and selling. After roaming the forest for a few minutes we finally found one. Portals are often randomized and this time was no different. Standing there was a green portal covered by smoke?

"Huh, something about this smoke seems familiar"

Sayu looked at me and started hitting my back

"it's fine it's fine, lets head in!"

We touched the portal then we were all teleported inside

"It's dark I can't see anything"

"Evem use a light spell"

Evem started chanting and used a light spell.

[HOLY LIGHT]

Our surroundings were lit up and what showed was a dark path. We soon realized that we were in a cave before the cave was a single person wrapped in torn cloth standing there. it was inviting us to follow her so we followed it no questions asked.

It showed us something that seems to be a magical item. A crystal ball

"Ask and you shall receive but heed not for the answers contain truth and lie"

We stood there confused but we all understood that the magical item can answer any question. Containing a lie and a truth. David decided to ask first

"How many monsters are in this dungeon?

[one]

David looked confused and decided to back off

Sayuu was next

"What is the strongest weapon?"

[The soul]

The others continued asking and soon enough it was my turn. I hesitated a bit on what to ask. Should I ask about my future? Should I ask about my death? There are so many things I want to ask but there was one question I wanted to ask about. It was about last night, the dream which I had, this feeling I am feeling. It seems all too familiar and so I asked

"What was the meaning of the dream I had yesterday"

[The Truth]

"What does that mean?"

The magical item started shaking and broke.

"Time is up"

The broken magical item started oozing out smoke? Everyone who inhaled the smoke started coughing and fainting. David, Sayu, and mitch all jumped and cover their noses. Due to my late reaction, I accidentally inhaled the smoke and soon started coughing and fainting.

"Jet!"

all three of them screamed

The three of them battled the person in torn cloth while I was there lying on the ground."I can't breathe," I say in my head. This pain, this excruciating pain I'm feeling. Someone help me. It hurts, It hurts, It hurts. Someone, please save me.

[T H U D]

As I hear the noise from my side I looked over and saw-

"Sayu-?"

What I saw was Sayu's severed head covered in blood. Blood? Is this blood? Is Sayu, dead?I wanted to scream. I wanted to get everything in my head out. but my mouth won't open. The tears were falling, but my voice couldn't do anything. I'm trembling, I'm scared. This must be a dream right? It has to be aha.

[T H U D]

Another noise, I'm too scared to turn around. I'm afraid if I'll look, I would lose another person.

I closed my eyes and started counting.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1-"

[T H U D]

Before I could reach 10 another sound appeared. And before I knew it, the tears stopped falling. I knew that this was the end. There was nothing more I could do. As my friends were being killed I was there doing nothing

My eyes turned blank and I was soon going to stop breathing. As I closed my eyes, something was touching my back.

I turned around to see David holding a stone towards my back. I soon realized he was holding a return stone. Is he planning to exit the dungeon, by himself? That's understandable, no one wants to die here. Especially David.

"All my stuff belongs to you know, take care of it. Go to my house, look for Dian- *COUGH* *COUGH*. Look for Diane and take care of her. This is my last order as your leader and my last request as your friend.

Please, I beg off you, take care of Diane for me. Make sure she grows up to be happy. I'm sorry for putting all of this unto you."

"What are you talking about?"

Who's Diane? And more importantly why is he giving all his stuff to me? Shouldn't he be using return stone by now?"I trust you, Jet."

David chanted the spell and used the return stone on Jet. Jet soon realized what David was actually saying but fainted

before he could actually say anything.

My heart hurts. Someone save me. I slowly open my eyes to see myself back in the forest. It was raining and it was close to pitch black. I almost could not see anything.

I open my mouth and say

"Dark..."

"Where am I?"

"Is anybody- there?"

Before me, stood a figure of a girl looking at me.

"A girl...?"
