The entire space fell into a deadly silence. Qing'er didn't look at him, only staring blankly into space as if she didn't care whether he answered or not. The King of Hell blinked, and for a split second, something flashed through his eyes but it was quickly suppressed until there was nothing left.
"Why did I become The King?" He hummed. "Of course, because I killed my predecessor and took his position. Haven't you heard of it already?" Without waiting for her answer, he continued, his voice drifting as if coming from all directions. "Of how I tore him to pieces, skinned him alive and devoured him…"
"You know that's not what I mean. Why did you kill him? What's your objection?"
