Did she not tell herself to ignore him? Why did she talk to him again?!
There was a trace of smile within his eyes at her rebuttal.
It made her scales stood up in humiliation. "I told you to scram!"
"No." He shook his head firmly.
She fidgeted, not knowing how to deal with the situation. Gnashing her teeth, she hissed. "…You are annoying."
He raised his head in surprise. Then, completely out of her expectation, he tapped his chin and started to analyze her words. No anger, no annoyance, simply analyzing. "Hmm, this is the first time anyone has told me that."
She rolled her eyes and pointed at her left. "Do you not see what it is?" His eyes followed and landed upon a mass of corpses that was stacked into a small mountain. "It is the people that came here for me. Do you want to end up like them?"
