"Where are you going?" Athena asked her older sister. She was quite shocked at the choice of clothing her sister was wearing.
Artemis was wearing a knee length black mermaid dress. it was sleeveless with only straps. To match the look, she was also wearing black heels with two rubies in the middle of both with a matching purse with a ruby studded in the middle as well. To finish the look, she was wearing her usual pure gold watch on her left wrist ad she was right-handed. Her blood red waist length curly hair was done in a half messy updo and half down style. She also had a secret pocket on the right side of her dress in which she had stored her car keys and scrunchies in case of emergencies.
"Artemis, are you sick?" Athena asked her older sister without even letting her answer her previous question.
"Athena, I am perfectly fine. I'm just going for a night out," Artemis answered, the former had been a truth while the latter had been a lie.
Athena was ecstatic at the statement. "That's very healthy for you, Artie! You need to loosen up a little. I know that these days have been stressful for you! Who're your going with? Do you have a date?!" Athena started firing questions happily.
"Oh, you know the usual gang and no, I don't have a date. Its just a normal friendly hang out with the gang, that's all. I'll try to be home before midnight, don't stay up late waiting for me. Make sure the windows and doors are all locked and that you don't answer the door whenever people you don't know or have never seen around me knock, okay?" Artemis laid out the precautions for her little sister, especially since there was a serial killer running around town.
"You have nothing to worry about, Artie! But I'm quite worried about your makeup though. Your not wearing any! You're only wearing lip gloss and that's all!" Athena complained.
"Ashleigh's gonna be there and she'll most probably be helping Ella, Corinne and I with makeup. Anyways, darling, I really do have to go now. I'll see when I get back, sweetie," Artemis quickly answered as she kissed her sister's forehead before running out of the apartment unit locking the front door and grill gate behind her.
She was soon speeding through the streets of Ocean Ville with anxiety brewing in the put of her stomach, knowing that she was late for the meeting.
She parked, locked and exited her car before fast walking into the police department, unsteadily wobbling on her heels. As she did so she cursed and wondered when the Hell had been the last time she wore heels.
"Good evening, ma'am if you need to report a drunken harassment, please do sit down at counter 4 and Officer Tina Reynolds will immediately take your report," Officer Georgie Garcia who was the graveyard shift's front lobby counter's clerk.
"Thank you for the commentary, Garcia!" Artemis thanked as she had spent 5 hours in her bedroom trying to pull off a clubbing woman's look.
Officer Garcia looked up from his computer in shock as soon as he heard the familiar voice of Detective Athens and craned his head desperately to take a look at the woman who had passed him.
He gasped as soon as he realized that it had been Detective Athens indeed who stood before him in clubbing attire.
His checks flushed in embarrassment for embarrassing himself terribly in front of his higher-up and mistaking her for a clubber.
"D-d-detective Athens, ma'am!!!" he exclaimed in shock making the older woman laugh.
Officer Garcia slammed his face into the front lobby's counter to hide his beet red embarrassed face from the onlooking eyes of the other officers there.
"Artie!" Ella welcome Artemis with a hug at her office.
Ella was wearing a dark red thigh length spaghetti strap dress with matching red heels, a black purse, gold watch and her hair was let down and curled.
"Looking hot Ella!" Artemis commented with a smirk and Ella laughed.
The boys on the other hand looked like mafia bosses which made Artemis try hard to ker her laughter in.
Andrew was wearing black ripped jeans, black button down shirt and a black jacket. His hair was slicked back with gel. To finish the look he was wearing his signature gold watch as well. All in all, Artemis had to admit that he had the whole mafia boss look down instead of club look.
Daniel was wearing blue ripped jeans with a chain dangling from his belt loop to his pocket. His clothes consisted of a black singlet and a dark blue denim jacket. He too was wearing a gold watch to top off the look and his hair was left messy instead of gelled neatly as he usually did. He had the resident toxic boyfriend, bad boy look down.
"I see your all wearing the watches I gave you guys," Evan noted.
The gold watches that everyone was wearing were high technology spy watches that was made by Evan, himself. The watches has a secret hidden camera in them, it records voices and it's also a phone.
"Of course, we always wear them," Artemis answered.
"Right then, here are your earpieces. You are also not allowed to use your own cars. It's better to go in a taxi for now," Evan explained.
"Officers, no need to take taxis, I'll be lending you my cars. Detectives Athens and Arias, you will be going as a date same for the lieutenant and the sergeant," Chief McConnors announced.
Artemis and Andrew shrugged as they had gotten used to going as either couples, may it be married couples or even as lovers, that had acted it all or even sometimes, as siblings since Andrew was indeed older than Artemis.
Daniel and Daniella on the other hand cringed at the mere thought if going as a date. "Sir, that's just incest," Artemis was the one who blurted out the said statement.
Chief McConnors merely shot the young detective a glare and walked off after throwing both Andrew and Danie each a car key.
"I can't believe he's lending us his cars," Andrew stated as they all walked off towards the back.
If only they knew what was waiting for them at the club they were heading to, they would've brought more backup for this mission...
