The next day as Avery walked into the college premises she wasn't welcomed by hounds of reporters lying in wait to ambush her like yesterday, no it was something worse.
As soon as she walked in with Casey by her side she felt it. The judgemental stares following her like packs of flies over a poo. Their whispering like buzzing mosquitoes. The mocking laughter when she walks by.
"Ignore them Vy, " Casey whispered to her friend as they walked past their schoolmates. She wrapped her arms around her shoulders using her body as if to form a protective shield from all the harsh stares.
Avery really wanted to pretend that all the side taunting was getting to her, she really wanted to pretend not to notice the pointing fingers, the snickering but how can she when some of them are not satisfied with their silent taunting but have to shove their unwanted opinion and thoughts to her face, like the guys currently blocking their path.
