Chapter 1 - Prologue

Scream and agonizing cry could be hear everywhere. In middle of it, a beautiful woman walked painful. She was holding her baby carefully, keeping her close on her chest. She sang a lullaby to calm it. She forced her self to forget the pain of her wound. She knew she was going to died soon. Her back full of arrow, she started to see trouble due to the blood loss. People was indeed quite cruel among themselves, but then again... Was she even considered as a human?

_Ah!

Feeling herself tripping, she held tighter the baby in her arm. Suddenly she felt a warm embrace instead of the hard ground. Opening her eyes weakly, she smiled.

_Mor...

_It's alright now, I'm here sisters... I will protect you now... And that man will pay.!

_It's quite sad you know... He is powerful and yet so powerless.

_It's his fault! I'm not going to forgive him!!

_Please Morgana, it's not his fault. He did everything he could to protect us... Because of who he is, he must abide to the law... But we are different... Law don't apply on witches... We are not supposed to be meddling with human anyway...

Her head rested on her shoulder as tears fell from her eyes. She could feel her life escaping more and more.

_Please protect her for me.

_You will protect that thing yourself Luna!

_Thing? You could be a little more gentle in how you call your niece...

She laughed softly, almost inaudibly before talking one last time.

_If I'm the moon then she is the sun... Shining and bright little Sun in your life... So she will be named Sol... The sun of Avalon....

Leaving those word as her last wish, the young woman died with a smile. Morgana took the baby from her, unable to hold back her tears.

_I promise, I will protect and love that child as my own...

But Luna couldn't hear her word any more. Swallowing her pain, the beautiful young witch fleed in the forest, the baby crying as much as her in her arm. From now on she was a mother.
