Chapter 3 - Quillion_CH3

Anah's P.O.V.

Ms. M walks in with her gorgeous heels; gosh I wish I could pull those off like her every day. I literally skip run to my desk, giving Yelda one last smile, pull my chair out and take a seat. As Ms. M takes her precious time to cat walk to her desk, I grab my pencil case and my beloved journal out of my bag.

Suddenly everyone starts whispering

"Who's that?" mumbles one of the boys

"OMG, I call dibs on him!" whispers another girl

I look up to see what all the commotion was about.

Dark brown locks and Nutella eyes but because of the sun rays they looked hazel.

Just by looking at him, I can tell he isn't too happy to be here, but I swear for a second, I saw dimples. His shirt is half tucked, he is wearing black adidas sneakers and I'd say he is 6'1.

My heart would have skipped a beat like every other girl in my classroom if it weren't for my own goals and dreams. Not giving it another thought, I get back to my journal.

First day back at school, I have already met up with Yelda. Luckily, we are in the same class this year...

What else. What else.

I looked out the window to gather my thoughts

...Beautiful, the sky, despite being partially hidden by the soft white cotton candy clouds, is breath taking. How I wish I could disappear into them

"Anah. Anah!"

Oh Ms. M.

"Yes Ms. M?"

"I hope you can guide Quellion and help him around everything," Ms. M looks at me with her eyebrows almost touching her forehead.

"Of course," forced into this, I finally notice the new kid who is already sitting next to me.

"It's Quillion, not Quellion," he mutters more to himself than others. I guess the mispronunciation bothers him.

Just great, Go Anah for daydreaming in less than an hour into her first day of senior year.

The rest of the day went by very quiet, we both minded our own business. I guess he isn't as bad as I thought he would be but maybe a little too quiet.

8th period's bell rang, it was time to head home. As he grabbed his bag, his sleeve pulled back a little, it was a single red rose bud with thorns.

Beautiful but lonely...

I didn't realize I was staring at his vein popping arm with the tattoo till he pulls down his sleeve. He watchs me for a few seconds.

I think he was ... amused? Or taken back?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to stare," I look straight into his heart throbbing eyes.

He nods and is out the door. I couldn't take my eyes off of him till he was completely out of sight.

"ANAH! Lets go, lets go," Yelda shaking and waving her hands in front of my face, not a sight I'd like to see often.

I jolt out of my trance. That was weird.

"Sorry," I quickly grab my bag as I give a guilty smile.

We were practically flying ourselves to the ice cream parlour. I made us late, well technically my thoughts did.

"Triple chocolate and mint chocolate chip, right? Coming right up!" exclaimed Ben. He is always happy to see us; we are after all regulars.

"Here is your Triple Chocolate, Anah," I took my cup from Ben and flashed a smile at him.

"Thank you, Ben. You are the best."

Yelda and Ben were the few people who have seen me smile genuinely in the past 5 years. Yelda and I found this parlour 3 years back, both of us didn't want to go home.

It was a gloomy Friday evening; it was Yelda's idea to 'explore' the streets. Obviously, we went on our mini scavenger hunt till we ended up lost when Ben found us. Since then, Ben's parlous has been our favourite get away before going back our separate ways.

"And Yelda, mint chocolate chip," Yelda took her cone from him as she flashed her heart at him. Not literally, she crosses her thumb and index finger which turns into a mini heart.

*the doorbell chimed*

"Welcome to Ben's Pavilion," exclaimed Ben with excitement, a new customer you can tell.

"Welcome!" both Yelda and I declared as we slowly turn around to see who it is. Caught off guard, flabbergasted Yelda and I share a look.

It's Quillion.
