He smiled as if it would convince me to calm down. I couldn't do anything, but to watch him on my arms in pain. His clothes were bloodied and torn. How could I even calm myself? The amount of blood he had been coughing up made me feel so worried.
"You bastard! You can't die!" I cried so desperately.
"Don't cry, little fire," he mumbled, trying to take away my fear. Just as he gazed intently into my eyes, giving me a strong assurance, he added, "I might die, but I won't die like this."
At first, I thought someone would save me from pain and heartaches, and I thought someone would come to console my broken heart, but another pain came running towards me.
I couldn't believe everything.
