Chapter
21
Urie ignored Axel the whole night. It's clear that Axel did not want to touch him.
What he did not know, is that Axel is most frustrated about it than he is. But he has to restrain himself. For it is better to deprive himself of momentary bliss. Than to lose him forever.
Rain can't help but laugh all day upon hearing his story.
"So, that's what the long face is for." he continued laughing. "You must want badly to beat him to a pulp. For leading you on, and leaving you hanging, right?"
He resulted to crossing his arm into his chest while pouting.
"I hate him."
Rain almost died of laughing.
"Urie," the air suddenly tensed as Adam approached them both at the bench. It's been two days since that incident. Where Adam forcefully kissed him. Which created a misunderstanding between him and Axel.
"Can we talk?"
He heard Rain's slight coughing. "I have other things to do. I'll leave you two alone."
Urie tried grabbing one of Rain's wrist. But he only mouted the words. 'It's okay." and left with a wink.
Adam gave Rain a nod of thanks.
Urie sat quietly as Adam stood infront of him speechless.
"I know you're still angry at me, for what I did last time. But I'm not sorry for what I did that day."
Urie can't help but lift his head to meet Adam's stare.
"I told you once, and I'll tell you over and over-"
"You don't need to tell him anything." A subtle voice had both their heads turn to Axel's direction. The latter was carrying a huge boquet of violet flowers. Neatly wrapped in white paper and tied with a blue knot.
"Axel," Urie immediately stood up. And went up to Axel. He was about to explain himself. When Axel slid his hands to his waist. To pull him closer.
"He's not interested in what you have to say."
"Why don't you let him decide for himself?" Adam insisted.
Axel stared at him for a while. It's like his eyes sends a terrified look. Is he that afraid of losing him?
Axel gently released the hold on his waist.
"You're right." axel uttered not taking his glance of him. "He has the right to decide for himself."
Why does it feel like his letting him go, literally?
At that note, Urie held on to Axel, hugging him as tight as he could.
"Don't you dare let me go again." he said , almost forgetting where they are. He even forgot about Adam's existence at that moment.
Adam, unlike every protagonist he had played with Urie. This is the first time he felt out of place.
He felt like an extra and needed to make a quiet exit to save his ego.
On the way out, he bumped into Rain.
With the look on his face, anyone can tell that he's heart-broken. And Rain knew about it. Besides the fact that Axel asked him on its way in where Urie was.
"Adam," Rain tried to comfort him.
"Save it," he said determined. "I'm not planning on giving up on him, " he means Urie. And walked past Rain, not minding the pain he caused to the latter.
A rush of hot liquid touched Rain's cheek. He knew even before, but kept a blind eye. Why is he trying so hard to be part of this guy's life? Is he not worthy enough to be with anyone?
He turned to give Adam a last glance. And was surprised to see the same evil spirits that surrounded him before.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Axel felt a different aura upon meeting Rain privately in his Mansion.
Lucas was also a bit unease. This isn't the same Rain they saved after being posessed by a demon.
He had a serious and domineering face. One that says, you can't mess with me. For I am not the type to play around.
"Have you heard of solomon's descendants?"
Axel had his back straightened. While Lucas immediately stood up, as if on defense mode.
"Of course, every demon knows of this legend. They catch demons to do their bidding. And if they resist, they will be slayed immediately. Even my uncle belze, shivers at the thought of the one who holds the ring." Axel had his eyes fixed on Rain's middle-finger. How did he miss an important detail such as the ring of solomon?
"You did not wear that when you came here the last time." he said mentioning the ring Rain was wearing. "It could have saved us the trouble of saving you from that demon."
"I had it taken off as soon as I felt a dark aura surrounding you two. And about the posession, I had to confirm my doubts-"
"So you let a demon get posession of your body?" lucas asked.
"Like I said, I had to confirm something."
"And what conclusion have you come up with after you had been posessed?" Axel asked rain mockingly. It could have meant danger on Urie's side if things gotten more out of hand. Just because he wanted to confirm his suspiscions.
"I'm aware that you are no ordinary demon. But what bother's me, is that certain affection you have with Urie. Something tells me, there is more to it than meets the eye."
"Even if there is, why should I trust a demon slayer like you?"
"Because, I'm the only person who can help you the most right now."
Axel had one of his eyebrow raised.
"Really? How is that?"
"I've seen demon's lurking around Adam since yesterday. And I'm guessing, you know nothing about any of it."
He turned to Lucas. Who had the same reaction as he did. Clueless.
"What kind of demons are you talking about?"
"Seven female, all fair and bound together."
"The seven sister's." Lucas exclaimed. "Could it be lilibeth's doing?"
He shook his head. "She had warned me about this. It's probably my father. Only he can conceal a demon's aura. So that I can barely sense them."
"Your father, you mean-?"
He confirmed Rain's guess with a blank expression on his face..
"How do you propose to help us, descendant?"
"It's easier if you'll call me by my real name. And besides, I don't want to raise any suspiscions. Specially Urie's."
"As you wish. But what will it be for us once we enter this so-called alliance with you?"
Rain smiled at the sound of it. Alliance. That's probably the most proposterous thing to ever come into celestial history. A devil prince, siding with a descendant of the king who once had all his kind bound inside a ring.
"First, tell me what it is that I should know about you and Urie. And I mean, everything.
