Exposed
Amelia was still dumbfounded at Eddie's strange request. Was he joking? Amelia sensed that he wasn't and that he was actually curious rather than mad. She then shook her head.
"Um, yeah, sure..." Amelia removed the towel that was laying over top of her lower body.
Eddie slowly reached his hand toward it. He then had his hand on the base of the tail feeling the scales just like he would on a fish. The sensation on Amelia was unreal. She didn't realize that the lower his hand went, the more sensitive the sensation of his hand felt on her. Curiosity and apprehension then turned into a more intimate and lustful moment. Eddie then blushed at how intricate it was to find that his girlfriend would turn into a mythical yet seducing creature. He then lowered his hand to her caudal tail which was lighter in texture. Amelia ended up giggling on how ticklish it felt Eddie gliding his hand over it.
"S-sorry, did you not like that?"
"It just tickles, it's fine haha!" Amelia couldn't suppress her laughter.
He tickled her further to where they were both on the floor with Amelia off the couch underneath Eddie. He then leaned further into her ears whispering.
"That's what you get for keeping secrets from me," Eddie grinned.
"You're a jackass," Amelia pouted.
"I may be a jackass, but I'm a jackass crazy over his mermaid girlfriend."
Eddie brushed his lips on Amelia's earlobe. Then he made his way over to her lips passionately kissing her. Then Amelia broke the heavy kiss.
"Shouldn't you get me some clothes? I'm close to being dry and I don't..."
"Why? What happens when you dry? I'm dying to see what's under that tail of yours,"
She telepathically threw the towel in Eddie's direction and Eddie was looking around.
"That towel was on the couch still!" Eddie said pointing to the couch.
"That's the other thing I wanted to tell you. I'm not just a mermaid, I actually have these special powers, and I'm supposedly the reincarnate of one of the five great royal siblings,"
"Five great royal what?" Eddie said being confused.
"Long story short – princess had super powers and I somehow inherited them,"
"I'm... still trying to process about how the powers connect to you being a mermaid..."
"I know, I still am too,"
"What else do you do other than throw random stuff using your mind power?"
"I can... read other people's minds, their past memories, see the future...and I think that's all I can think of at this point,"
"Do other mermaids or mermen have powers too?"
"Only five – hence the reason they are the 'great five' to start out with," Amelia responded.
"So are all the other siblings reincarnated?"
"So far all we know is that there are three that we know of. The other two, that is still a mystery."
"Do you know the other two?"
"Yeah, my cousins." Amelia said bluntly.
"What?! Your cousins are mermaids too?!"
"Yeah, somehow grandmother did not tell us that we were part mer, but I don't think she even knew – not that I blame her or anything,"
"Are they the other two royals you know?"
"Yeah, Lynae has ice powers and Meredith has the ability to move the earth and has super strength."
"Dang, how did all of this happen?"
"I had another seizure at the beach," Amelia looked grim.
"What?" Eddie spoke softly.
"Yeah, but this was different, I had a vision and that vision triggered my seizure. Then, when I finally woke up, I had another vision. Supposedly it was telling me some history and telling me to go to the open waters at this date and this time. Lynae and Meredith ended up following me and we then met up with this mermaid who told us that we were not all human. We were part mer! Then she made this speech about unraveling our destiny, and then did something that kind of sparked our transitioning period. That's when we figured about our powers after we made our transition finally. It was painful that's for sure,"
"I can't imagine. Do your parents know?"
"No and they don't need to know. No one does. Eddie, you cannot tell a living soul about this – about us."
"I-I guess so but what if you get sick again?"
"That's not an option. Besides, ever since the transition, I haven't had one seizure or trigger episode since then. They are going to consult with me next week and tell me that my brain pattern had dramatically altered. They won't know how, but they'll say that I'm remarkably recovering,"
"You know this by this 'vision' you see?" Eddie asked.
"Yes, and in seven seconds your home phone will be ringing,"
Seven seconds had passed and Eddie's home phone began to ring.
"How did you?" Eddie's eyes widened.
"Like I said, I can tell the future but not too much of it just only up to a day out so far,"
"So you can't go out in the rain?"
"Nope,"
"You can't go to public swimming pools?"
"Nope,"
"You can't do laundry or do the dishes?"
"To an extent," Amelia responded once more.
"Dang, don't know if that's a blessing or a curse?"
"Still debating on that, but I do know that Atlantica needs me,"
"Are you going to be living underwater permanently?"
"I wouldn't say permanently. I'm not going to leave you or abandon you though which I know that's what you're worried about,"
"How do I know you wouldn't?"
"You're just going to have to trust me on the matter,"
"Okay..."
She slowly began transforming back into her human legs. She hastily grabbed the towel to cover her lower portion realizing she didn't have anything on down there. Eddie then got her some pants for her to wear. It was embarrassing enough losing their clothes, but for Amelia, having to wear her boyfriend's pants and boxers was beyond mortifying for her. It felt as if she was doing something scandalous.
After Amelia put on Eddies pants and boxers, Eddie kept asking some more questions about what she knew.
"Okay, so what's it like underwater?"
"Beautiful, it's murky a few feet but if you dive deeper, it's beautiful. There are different regions of each ocean. Oceanus is so lively and bright while Atlantica is deep and mesmerizing,"
"Are there other merman and mermaids?"
"Oh yes, so many just like how each of us are different by skin color, shape, accent, and even tail color,"
"It sounds wonderful, it's too bad I can't have a tail of my very own, I don't believe I have mer in me or my family line,"
"Allura said that only other merfolk can sense if they have that part in them. If not, then they are fully human,"
"How can they tell?"
"Not sure, I wasn't able to figure that one out myself,"
"So this Allura, how did you meet?"
"She telepathed me these visions and told me to meet her. That's how I got the tail was because of her,"
"Is she trustworthy?"
"I don't see why not. She's been helpful in tutoring me and my cousins lately. Lynae still doesn't trust her, but I can't help but not blame her. We still barely know her,"
Amelia then stood up.
"I need to go, I have to make up with meeting Rimulus,"
"Rimulus? Who's Rimulus? And what kind of name is that?"
"He's a friend, but he dead set on serving me until his dying breath like he's my squire or some sort,"
"Okay? Why's that?"
"We saved his life, he felt this was the only way to repay his debt,"
"Makes sense, alright, I'll walk you to the beach to see you off,"
Amelia just smiled at him and walked with him hand in hand at the beach. She led him to where she would transform and make her underwater journey. However, before she said her goodbyes to Eddie, she heard a more familiar voice at an unexpected time.
"My lady!"
Her eyes widened at seeing that familiar voice actually had legs and clothes. Rimulus was just as shocked as Amelia was when they were looking at each other. Despite the unexpected encounter, Amelia knew she had some explaining to do.
