Misa looked at her left hand and her eyes were drained from all life. At this very moment, she felt hopeless. She knew how much Yuto hated Dark Lords. She wanted to be a hero, not a Dark Lord..but fate had different plans for her.
Meanwhile on a cliff, a man was sitting along the cliff and looked at the sky turn back to normal slowly. He adjusted his mask and stared.
"So you chose..I wonder who you chose.." The man said.
The man stood up and sighed softly. He looked at the sky again then walked off. His cloaked flowed behind him as he walked. He thought to search for the new Dark Lord. He had plans for them as he is one of the servants of the God of the Realm.
At Misa's home, Misa tried her hardest to get rid of the marking and grunted, panicking and close to crying. She didn't want this life, she didn't want to take this road. She thought the God of the Realm had sought to punish her for whatever reason.
"Please..no.." Misa gripped the sides of the sink and her hair shadowed her face. "Don't..do this...to me...whatever I did, I'm sorry.."
It was only a week before her birthday. Her only wish on her birthday was to be a hero and finally leave the Realm to seek the downfall of the Dark Lords. She looked in the mirror and heard footsteps walking to her. She looked to her right and saw a woman with a clipboard, standing in front of her.
"Salutations Mistress." The woman bowed. "I am your Sec-" she was interrupted.
"Shut up..! I want you to leave my home! You have no business with me!" Misa glared.
"I can't leave you. As chosen to be a Dark Lord, I am your Secretary and Servant. My name is Liliana. Pleased to make your acquaintance, Mistress." Liliana looked at her with a gentle smile.
Liliana had blond hair and scarlet red eyes. Her wings were as black as night and her devil tail swayed slowly. It isn't uncommon to have a Servant or a Secretary when you're a Dark Lord, but the Dark Lords that exist now all refused a Servant.
"Liliana.." Misa said. She looked at her and sighed. "Is there a way to getting rid of these powers of a Dark Lord? You see my dream is to be a hero!"
"Unfortunately you're stuck a Dark Lord for the rest of your life until you die. Let me tell you dying is impossible for a Dark Lord..you have the power of Rebirth, meaning you are immortal." Liliana said and walked to her. Her eyes glowed brightly. "The God of this Realm doesn't make mistakes choosing Dark Lords..there is a reason why you were chosen."
"A..Reason..?" Misa looked at her, skeptically.
"Dark Lords aren't as bad as people make them sound. For starters they are allies of Cipher. They work along side them to keeping balance within the 5 Realms. Cipher can't destroy worlds the way you can. You are apart of a balance system. Dark Lords are beings that are misunderstood..you may not see it now. But when you meet the other Dark Lords..you will understand." Liliana explained.
"Where are the other Dark Lords?" Misa asked.
"In the Human Realm. That is the only place they can be at without being seen as enemies. Specifically they are on Earth. You see with them being World Destroyers, they are the target of huge heroes. They've been the target for as long as history started for them. They don't only target heroes..they target their own kind also..the Corrupted Heroes and the Goddesses who are associated with them. They want to retain balance in the Realm so they and others can live peacefully. Destroying worlds is only a price to pay in obtaining peace." Liliana answered.
Liliana was a smart individual, well educated on the lives of the Dark Lords. She knows how much they have suffered and how much peace means to them. They've been at war with the universes since time started. Misa looked down and sighed.
"Let me pack up my things. I'm going to the Human Realm." Misa walked off. Liliana nodded and smiled.
An hour passed when Misa got all her belongings. She walked to the front door and turned around and got a good look at the house one last time before turning around.
"Hold your horses there Misa. The only way to the Human Realm is via portal. Trying any other methods could instantly kill your body because of the intensity of the pressure of the ripples in space and time." Liliana said.
"English please!" Misa rose an eyebrow.
"Simply put, if you were to travel to another Realm with a method that's not a portal, you will die." Liliana said.
"I see..I don't know how to make a portal thought.." Misa said.
"You will learn to when you get trained by one of the Dark Lords. Portals are important when fast traveling to different worlds." Liliana stuck her hand out and ripples in reality appeared then a portal formed.
"This magic..it's A-Ranked Transportation Magic. I can't possibly learn that from where I am!" Misa looked at Liliana with shock.
"Trust me, you'll learn! Now hop in before it closes!" Liliana jumped in the portal.
Misa jumped in after her and had her eyes closed the entire time. After a few short seconds she gently landed on her feet, but her eyes were still closed.
"You can open your eyes now." Liliana said. Misa opened her eyes slowly.
"H-Huh?! Where the hell are we?! Humans live here?!" Misa said in pure shock.
"No silly, we are in the Abyss Dungeon. This is where the Dark Lords live." Liliana smiled.
This place looked like a kingdom. Everything was either crystalized or made of stone. There was a huge building right in front of them. The building was the main headquarters of the Dark Lords. Misa was in awe looking around the area. She saw a variety of monsters running around ranging from Slimes to Nature Spirits.
"Dark Lords...are...awesome.." Misa said and walked around. "They..live like this in their own society...everyone is at ease, their auras tell me so.."
"You like it here?" Liliana asked.
"I don't know...I do feel a little homesick.." Misa looked back at Liliana.
"I'm afraid everyone at your home is an enemy now..they will endanger your life. But! Everyone here will be your family! Your journey only begins now! Your tale as a Dark Lord begins beyond those doors!" Liliana pointed.
Misa nodded and looked at the large building and noticed a woman looking out from the balcony. She had long white hair, as white as snow. She had scarlet red eyes also and had tiny bat wings on her head. The woman walked back inside and Misa gasped them ran to the building.
"H-Hey wait!" Liliana ran after her.
Meanwhile at the Phantom Realm, Yuto looked around for Misa. He searched every corner and every stone. He was frantic about finding Misa.
"This isn't like Misa to go missing like this!" He ran then bumped into the cloaked man and fell.
The man looked down at Yuto and helped him up. This man's eyes were a sapphire blue. They glowed brightly through his mask as if they were being stuck with light.
"Looking for someone I assume?" The man spoke.
"My friend Misa. She went missing!" Yuto looked at the man, worried.
"Misa...Ah..that Misa. She is no longer a resident of this Realm." The man said.
"What? Why?!" Yuto glared angrily at the man.
"Because from this point on, Misa is a Dark Lord. Your search ends now.." The man walked past him.
Yuto's eyes widened and he gripped his shirt and fell on his knees. He hasn't felt like this in so long before, this heartache..His childhood friend had became a Dark Lord. Instead of being partners in crime..they were now mortal enemies.
