"What are you doing? This is a hospital, for heaven's sake. Someone already admitted to being a doctor. Do you really think they'd lie to us?"
The woman glared at the man by her side, clearly impatient, and eagerly stretched out her hand.
"I understand that traditional Chinese doctors are supposed to take pulses, right? Come on, don't be shy, please check me out. My stomach has been aching since this morning, and it hasn't gotten any better."
She spoke with a whining tone, her eyes burning with hope as she looked at Jiu Yun.
The man felt wronged. He couldn't bring himself to blame the goddess whom he had spent so long chasing, so he vented all his frustration on Jiu Yun instead.
As he looked at Jiu Yun's face, his eyes brimmed with jealousy.
Jiu Yun seemed to ignore their gazes, simply telling the nurse to go on with her tasks.
After taking the woman's pulse, Jiu Yun spoke gently in under a minute.
