Chapter 17 - Boxing

'Ok, the day finally ended. The first two teachers were a pain, but I'm glad we only had 2 classes today. Plus they were both short.'

" Hey Andrew, do you know what fighting form you're going to pick up." Zem says waving his hand over his hand trying to get my attention. " Uh, I'm not really sure, I want something that fits how I fight, but I don't know what that is." I say scratching my head.

"Well if you want to learn boxing, my parents own a dojo, and my dad was a fighter back in his day. He can teach you the ropes and basics in about a month and then move onto harder things which should fit the time period." Zem says passionately really wanting me to say yes.

"Ok fine, where is the dojo" I sigh " I'll stop by tomorrow." I say defeated. " Oh get ready they don't take it easy on anyone, even me." He says in a cautious tone . He tells me the directions and I'm pretty bummed I agreed to it.

' N-not even their own kid. What the hell did I get myself into.' I begin my journey down the hill to my house. I cross the street seeing a man rushing up the hill. I walk up my driveway and As I get to the door it is cracked open. ' That's weird, mom is a real freak when it comes to the door being left open.' I was on my way in when I smell something.

I burst into the living room and nothings there when I see a pool of red liquid sitting beside a corpse. " W-w-w" I stutter. I fumble for my phone calling 911 immediately and telling them what had happened. Police rushed to the house and ambulances with their sirens blazing pulled up on my street.

Two people run into my house and lift my mom onto a stretcher. Her eyes, they're already faded. 'She's in a better place now.' I think still petrified at the sight I had seen.

"Is she going to be okay." I scream at one of the people. "I'm sorry, it looks likes she's been gone for a while. Her body's cold and her pulse is gone."

'W-why me, why does everything bad happen to me. I hope this is some kind of nightmare.' I hoped and hoped and begged and pleaded, but i knew it was true, and I couldn't do anything to change it.
