"Natsu I need to see Luke right now," I said giving Natsu a look of determination.
"Uh, sure and you know there's no rush it's not like he's going anywhere," Natsu said jokingly.
"Just where did they take him Natsu?"
"Follow me," Natsu said as we walked through to get to the infirmary, I kept my head down a majority of the time as Nastu stopped to talk to his comrades. In my head, I hoped and prayed that no one would recognize me and thankfully no one did. I thought to myself I probably should've brought Kaname or even Lyst with me. Once we got to the infirmary, I put my head up a bit to see Luke, for the first time he looked genuinely happy. He was laughing with a bunch of other people and being greeted by people, he looked like he was where he belonged. I felt a pain in my chest, it hurt to see someone else enjoying the one thing I wanted most. Why is it that everyone else gets to have that feeling but for me? Did I do something wrong? Was I unworthy of the happiness I seek out? I opened a portal under Luke's feet, and from within the portal, I could hear Kaname cry out in pain and after hearing that I quickly closed the portal. Natsu looked at me shocked as my shaking hand stayed pointed, everyone in the infirmary looked at me with hateful glares.
"That's the third born, Natsu what are you doing with her?!" someone yelled, Natsu turned around to look at me and gently put my pointed finger down.
"I bet he didn't even know it was her! We all know he's a dunce," another person said.
"And you let them into the base to take Luietent Luke, do you have any idea how long he's been taken for us?!
"It was a mistake having you fight on our side!"
"You should've just stayed at home, I don't know why the generals let you fight with us!"
"I heard it was because they pitied him and liked his determination,"
"I bet they wanted to just put him out of his misery,"
"Ha, I bet you're right, with that dunce out of the way things only get easier for us,"
"C-could you do it again?" Natsu whispered to me. I opened a portal beneath us and unluckily we landed on top of Kaname.
"Ow, I'll kill you!" Kaname yelled as he looked over at not just me but Natsu too. We then got off of Kaname, I looked to Luke who was staring in the direction of the Quincy base.
"Kaname you shouldn't be talking you'll only make yourself worse,"
"It's ok I'm fine, my throat doesn't even hurt anymore I think those tears are working," Kaname said then he whispered to me "what happened back over there, he's just been staring over there and not saying anything. He's starting to look like a sad puppy,"
"Third born," Luke said now turning to me, " was it not enough?"
"What're you talking about?"
"Was it not enough!?" Luke yelled, "I helped you with almost everything you needed, I helped heal your mother, I helped heal you, I helped your father's army, I even told you about your brother's betrayal. Was that not enough for you?!"
"Luke, I'm sorry but I needed-"
"You needed!? I was there when you needed help, you even said I'd never see that attic again so why?" Luke said as tears formed in his eyes and his voice started to crack, "I helped your mother get off her death bed so why can't I go see my family for once? I was locked up in that dusty old attic for 10 years, I felt isolated and alone something you claimed to feel as a kid but you always had someone around you," Luke turned around and hung his head. "Whatever, I'm done working for you, don't look for me unless you're bringing Tsuki with you," Luke said as he walked away, I started to chase after him but Kaname stopped me.
"Luke who's Tsuki?!" I shouted as he got further away, he didn't reply to me.
"Give him some time, he'll be back," Kaname said as he put a hand on my shoulder.
"How do you know?"
"Call it intuition, come on let's get back to base,"
