The sixth black jagged horn erupted in my head...I felt so nauseating that I wanted to vomit but I couldn't, thanks to the predicament I'm in right now...Lyura was still on top of me, with killing intent leaking from her and her expression itself was a mixed bag of emotions...frustration, confusion, and grief...tears welled up in her eyes as she pinned me down with her blade right next to my throat.
"THOSE FILTHY HORNS ARE THE PROOF! YOUR JUST LIKE THOSE SCUMBAG DEMONS! YOUR THE EMBODIMENT OF EVIL ITSELF!"
"Guess I have no way of getting out of here besides fighting! It's unfortunate but I thought you were cool when you charged in without hesitation...BUT ALL THAT ADMIRATION ENDS NOW!"
"WHAT ARE YOU-?!"
I exploded my way out by condensing the white flames in my hand that went noticed until it exploded, it sent Lyura flying in the air. Covered in scratches, I managed to barely stand on my two feet, my body can't bear the sixth horn so I have to put it away as soon as possible. Lyaru landed several feet away from me, she quickly got back up.
"Still have tricks up your sleeves?"
"Sadly that was the only one I can think of..."
"It's time I end you then!"
She dashed toward me with her blade position horizontally, she was aiming for my gut! Quickly summoning the Nemax and reverting it to its second form, sparks flew as the two blades met, we were locked in place and it looks like even with six horns Lyura is still too strong for me.
"It's useless! Give up!"
"I'd rather die than give up!"
Her sword was inching forward which made me lean backward, it's difficult to balance in this situation. Corrosion nor corruption weren't affecting her blade for some reason...maybe it's the type of material used or the blacksmith...or there's some weird enchant on it.
"C-can't we talk this out?"
"Where's your bravado?"
"Lyura, Halt!"
The loud high voice of the shogun startled us, Lyaru immediately removed her blade, I fell to the ground with my heavy body and I reverted back.
"My deepest apologies, I was just taking care of some business..."
"So engaging in battle with a guest is what you'd call 'business'?"
"Your highness, this boy here is the one responsible for the eradication of my hometown..."
"Do you have any proof? that was more than two decades ago and yet you blame this young boy who's only a decade old?"
"It's a misunderstanding your highness!"
"I've seen everything with my own two eyes, you are to be questioned later...proceed to my office at once!"
"Y-yes..."
"L-Lyaru didn't mean to do anything! She was just confused thanks to the demon that was summoned!"
"Tarus what are you-"
"So I was right about my suspicions...a demon was summoned you say?"
"It was five-horned! There were three suspicious hooded figures that summoned it!"
"Lyaru, where are they now?"
"One managed to escape, the two are tied over there."
Lyaru pointed to the other side of the road, there was an alleyway in between the oriental roofed buildings. The shogun herself headed over there to check on them, leaving me and Lyaru alone.
"I'm sorry for what I did..."
"Don't think too much about it, you were just stressed and confused..."
"Why...why are you forgiving someone like me?"
"We can't have conflict now since the threat of the demon god is looming over us."
"B-but..."
"Let's just talk about this some other time..."
"I've apprehended the two you caught, teleport them to the dungeon, we'll talk about your punishment later...and for you, Tarus Neispira, why did you leave your room unattended?"
"Well, I was planning on sightseeing..."
"You should've just told me..." she sighed a deep one
"S-sorry..."
"I would've given you a private tour...now we're in this mess...demon god was it?"
"They kept on yelling about the demon god..."
"Well for now we can't do anything if we don't have enough evidence, I'll just tell the city guards to be on guard...pun intended!"
"Are you being serious or joking?"
"Didn't it sound funny?"
"Not at all."
"Guess this is why people are getting weirded out by their own shogun..."
"Just think of better jokes next time I guess...or I just don't have a sense of humor..."
"For a guest, you sure are insensitive!"
"My bad..."
"Well let's go back to the palace, we have a lot to talk about..."
Heading back to the palace, the shogun called everyone and they were surprised to see me and Lyaru return with beaten-up clothes and some scratches.
"Didn't we just talk about you not going all alone into a fight?!"
"I mean we did...but I wanted freedo-"
"Geez, you always get yourself hurt one way or another!"
"Why do you have to be so concerned about someone like me?"
"Can't we be worried?"
"I guess you can..."
"Tarus, go ahead and take a bath, I've prepared it for you."
"Thanks, Nanako..."
"No need to thank me!"
"After your done with your bath, proceed to my office Tarus."
"Yes..."
Heading to the bathroom on the second floor, just west of the stairs, I quickly headed for the bath. Removing my clothes and sliding in the tub full of warm water, my body was exhausted and I feel like I can sleep here anytime now...
"Tarus, is the bath fine?"
"Y-yeah, you surprised me Nanako!"
"Hey um...don't feel so down about what Jade said, we're not secluding your freedom...we just want you to be safe...seeing you getting hurt and not even thinking about yourself first...that's admirable and all but..you have to take care of yourself better!"
"Thanks for the concern, I'll try my best to change..."
"I'll be heading back to the other- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"Nanako!?"
I quickly opened the wooden sliding door, wearing only a towel to cover my under, there was no one outside....this is making me anxious!
