Chapter 36
LEONNA'S POV
Dragon Tribe? Is that even real?! I stared at Riri with such skepticism and doubt. And he saw right through me
"Tsk. Of course I don't know if its true or not for all I know my grandfather could be pulling my legs, But that's the only information that I have that has something to do with your powers." Riri answered.
"What's that tribe has to do with my powers?" I asked, even though were not sure if it's a myth or not but something is better than nothing.
"Well it's rumored that the tribe's queen has the same powers as you, she is the only one in that tribe that has white crystal as powers."
Now its getting confusing, so you mean to tell me that a dragon has the same power as me?! Not just any dragon but a dragon queen?! Ha.
"Tell me about the Dragon tribe. Are they dragons? Or humans?" I asked in curiosity.
"They're both. They are humans with dragon attribute." Riri answered, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Is that even possible? A human dragon?
"How is that possible? How could a human be a dragon?" I asked even more, the more Riri answered the more I got confused, every answers just led to another question.
"I don't know. I told you what I know is limited only to what my grandfather told me."
I was a bit disappointed that Riri's knowledge is so limited.
"Don't take it to heart brat, we still don't know if that story is true." I don't know if he's trying to comfort me he just really doesn't care. Either way he has a point.
It's no use in thinking about it, since we don't have any proof if that story is true.
"lady Leonna."
Both Riri and I turned our attention to the person who called me. It was Sir Brion one of my dad's knight. He immediately showed respect to me by bowing in one knee infront of me.
"Greetings to Lady Leonna."
It still irk me everytime someone bow to me, but I know respect needs to be shown. "Sir Brion, do you need something from me?"
"Yes, my lady. Sir Winston has ordered me to tell you that a letter has arrive specifically address to you.
Immediately my eyebrows knitted together in the middle of my forehead. A letter? I wonder who its from? I don't recall having any friends to exchange letters to begin with.
But curiosity got the best of me, I immediately went to Winston to see who the letter is from.
"Hello Winston." I said with a forced smile, I'm trying ok? I'm still new to all of this.
"Greetings my lady." Winston replied with a bow.
"Sir Brion said there's a letter address to me?"
"Ah yes. Please wait for a moment." Winston then went to his desk and grab a very peculiar envelope. "Is that gold?" I asked in shock.
"Yes it is my lady."
Gold envelope?! Who in the right mind would waste such a perfect gold to make an envelope?! As if the envelope itself isnt shiny enough, in the center there's this blue purple-ish stone made to seal the envelope.
"What is that blue stone?" I asked.
"Its tanzanite stone my lady. Only the Imperial family of the Tanzanite kingdom can send such extravagant letter.
Tanzanite stone? I don't think I know anyone from the Tanzanite kingdom. Do I?
"I think there's been a mistake, I don't know anyone from the Tanzanite kingdom." I said in a serious tone.
Winston then handed me the letter. "I think you should open it my lady, to know who its from."
Well he's right. So I accepted the letter from his hand and very carefully open it. When I saw the contents of the letter it confuses me even more.
"What does it say?" Winston asked curiously, I think he's more curious to know than me.
[I need to tell the Grand Duke about this] Winston thought.
" 'I'll see you in two months - J' "
That's it? Who the hell is J? I tried ransacking everyone who I met with a name that start with a J.
"It's from Prince Jaljiz." Winston stated, only then did I remember that I did met the prince of tanzanite at my public debut! I even danced with him!
"Oh yeah. Now I remember." I said in a toneless voice.
"I didn't know that my lady is friends with the young prince of the Tanzanite kingdom."
"I didn't know either."
I don't think we became friends that night. And what did he said? He'll see me in two months? Two months from now is the hunting tournament. Does that means he'll participate in it too?
I didn't think much of the letter after that. The day quickly began to end and before I knew it I was getting ready to go to bed.
"My lady what night wear do you want to wear?" Martha asked. I pointed out the black pajamas and she quickly grab it.
"I heard that you'll be participating in the hunting tournament my lady, is that true?" Rose asked, I could see her worried expression on her face.
"Yes." I answered. I'm proud of myself just by answering them that means that I'm beginning to be more comfortable being around them.
The bad memories I had with Cynthia was slowly being washed away. "My lady, you have to be careful in the hunting tournament ok? You don't need to win just survive." Martha said.
"I'll keep that in mind Martha." I said as I smiled at her. But of course participating in the hunting tournament means I have to compete, I wanted to win just like everybody else but I also know that its not going to be easy to compete with nobles who has been training their whole life just for this tournament.
But nonetheless, I'll do my best.
When I finished getting ready for bed, I immediately ran to my dad's bedroom and climb up his bed. I jumped up and down in our large king size bed.
Then while I was in the middle of jumping my hearts out, the door opened and it was my dad. "Little cub." He called smiling from ear to ear.
Martha and Rose immediately excused themselves.
"I heard that the Crown Prince of Tanzanite sent you a letter?" Dad asked.
"Yes. I don't know why though. I don't think we were closed enough to sent each other letters." I answered, I heard a light chuckled from my dad which confused me.
"Good." He said, he looks like he's in a good mood. He then lay at the bed next to me. I squirm my way to his side and just like every night he cuddle me in his arms.
Ahhhhhh.....such warm feelings.
"You're getting so big, my cub." Dad said while caressing my hair. "Yes, I'm eating very well."
"That's good."
"Dad?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you disappointed that I wanted to join the tournament?" I asked, there is nothing in this world that would hurt me more than my dad being disappointed in me.
"No. That will never happen. No matter what you do or what path you take, I'll always be by your side." He said and gently kissed my forehead. It tickled my stomach and warms my heart.
"Dad, do you really not know anything about my Mother?" I asked, I could feel him slightly jolted at my question, maybe he was shock? Or surprised?
It took him a minute before answering me.
"I wish I do. I really do. But No, I don't remember at all. I'm still investigating it." He answered and I nodded in response.
The night went on with us talking and laughing, until we both fell asleep.
-
The next day I woke up early, even earlier than my dad. I tried getting out of bed as quietly as possible but I still manages to woke dad up
"Leonna? Its still so early, go back to sleep." Dad said in a rigid voice with one eye open. A clear evidence that he just woke up.
"But today is the day that Riri would train me! I need to wake up early." I argued, and since dad is already awake, I feel like I don't need to be careful anymore. So I hurriedly stood up from bed and ran towards the door.
"Leonna! Wash your face first!" I heard dad shouted. I just giggled and continued on running.
Mind you I was still on my pajamas running in the hall way. On the way to the mansion gate, I saw Winston standing there. Smiling. In a perfect posture.
"Eerr. Winston! Goodmorning?" I said wearily.
"My lady. Goodmorning to you too, but I cannot let you out just yet, please go back and wash up first then you will have your breakfast." Winston said in firm tone, while his tone shows firmness his expression didn't match up, was still smiling at me.
I pouted in response. "But---"
"No buts Leonna, go back to the room and wash up." This time it was dad who answered, he was standing at the hall way still on his pajamas, scratching the back of his neck. His hair was still messy and his eyes are still half closed.
"Fine." I said in defeat, I saw dad just shook his head before calling for Martha and Rose.
Martha and Rose escorted me to the room once more.
"Why is it so hard to raise kids?" I heard dad mumble underneath his breath, which only made me giggled. I also heard Winston lightly laughed.
When we arrived once more at the room, Martha and Rose helped me to get ready. Today I choose not to wear any dress but to wear a pare of comfortable pants and white t-shirt tuck under it.
After getting ready I immediately went to the dining room to have some breakfast, to my surprised Riri was also there to join us.
"Riri!!" I yelled, he looked at me and smiled, "Yo! Morning." Riri greeted, by now I was already used to Riri's way of greetings.
"Riri, how many times do I have to tell you that, you should be respectful when talking to the lady of the house?" Winston reminded Riri. Riri just rolled his eyes at Winston and continued on eating his breakfast.
"It's ok Winston." I said to Winston, much to his dismay he just sigh in defeat.
"Good morning dad!" I shouted running towards my dad and hugging him, he hugged me back and shuffled my hair.
"Good morning little cub, you look beautiful." I blushed at dad's remark but I was happy that he thinks I looks good in simple clothing.
Breakfast went good, I really didn't get to talk to dad since Winston kept on talking to him about politics and business and the Viosta dukedom, all of that boring stuff.
After breakfast Riri and I went straight to the north side of the dukedom, where dad has given us permission to use for our training.
I never really got this far from the main mansion, I was always inside the mansion or at the garden other than that I never really have the time to explore the entire dukedom.
Going to the north building, we need to pass through the East building and the west building, and that is where the dad's knights are training.
Aside from Sir Brion and Sir Jace I never really met any other knights from the dukedom.
Minutes passed and my feet are beginning to hurt. "Riri how much longgeeer?" I whined, almost dragging my feet to move.
"Don't ask me, I didn't know that the Viosta dukedom was this big! My feet are killing meeeee!!" Riri also complained.
"Aren't you the lady of the house? How come you didn't know how big the dukedom is?!"
"I didn't know! I never been in this part of the mansion!" I said defensively, both of us whined at how our feet hurt.
Minutes pass and we still haven't arrived at the north part!!
"I give up! I don't want to walk anymore!" Riri shouted before sitting down at the grassy ground. I did too.
"It would be a lot easier if I wasn't wearing any shoes and if I was walking with both my feet and hands!" I complained, I grab my shoes from my feet and forcefully removed it.
I threw it as far as possible due to irritation. "Lets just go back, let's start training tomorrow." Riri said.
"No!!! We can't waste time Riri, I only have two months!" I shouted, I then jolted up from sitting from the ground and with full force that I have in my small body, I tried pulling Riri up.
"Riri!! You promised to train me todaaaaay!!" I said while pulling Riri up from laying down the ground, but Riri being Riri he refused to stand up and even deliberately made his body heavier by refusing to get up from the ground.
"My Lady?"
I looked behind me to see who it was and it was Sir Jace and Sir Brion! Thank God.
"Sir Jace! Sir Brion!" I yelled in happiness, maybe they can help us.
"may we know why you're here my lady? This is far from the main mansion." Sir Jace Stated in a with a smile.
"Were actually on our way to the north mansion, but we didn't know it was so far away from the main mansion." I answered, the both of them laughed and I immediately blushed in embarrassment.
"Hahaha. Indeed the Viosta dukedom is very big my lady, it would take you atleast an hour by feet just to reach the north mansion." Sir Brion answered.
An hour?! That big?!
I looked at them in shock and disbelief, I felt so stupid for not knowing how big the Viosta dukedom is.
"Why don't you two come with us my lady? The training ground is just a few miles away there are horses there that we could give you for you to ride to the north mansion."
I beamed in happiness at Sir Jace's suggestion, I nodded excessively. "Yes please, thank you!" I said, but both Sir Brion and Sir Jace flinched at my response.
"My lady, you don't need to thank us we are merely knights under your command." Sir Jace said.
"But I want to thank you, isn't that my right to thank anyone I find worthy of my thanks?" I answered back. I could see them dumbfounded at my answer.
But seconds later both they both smiled, they were looking at me with warm expression as if saying that they are proud to serve me.
"Indeed it is my lady." Sir Jace said bowing to me.
The four of us made our way to the training ground, it wasn't far from where sir Brion and sir Jace found us.
When we arrived at the training ground, I was in awe at what I saw. Hundreds and thousands of knights gathered at the field. Some are sparring, some are riding horses and some are just resting at the tree shade.
There was this peaceful atmosphere in the training ground, although they are training I could see that they enjoy what they were doing.
"LADY LEONNA VIOSTA HAS COME TO VISIT!" Suddenly Jace shouted and everyone halted at their place, they all looked at me in complete shock and terror. Suddenly the once peaceful atmosphere became to heavy and intense. I could feel them holding their breath, well they're not the only one!
I was caught off guard too!!
