10 years later.... Sumter, Ontario
Maud stood out on the porch calling out to the children "Beatrice, Lizzy time for dinner the two girls ran into the house. 13 year old Bee smiled "sorry Mama I was showing Lizzy something" Maud laughed at her "of course you and your sister are always up to trouble". They all gathered at the table Ray sat at the head across his wife Maud the others included Bee 9 year old Elizabeth "Lizzy" sat next to Bee, then 7 year old Cordelia,5 year old Edward or Eddy, 3 year old Mary and in the 1 year old Kenneth in his mother's lap at the table. Ray talked of the fields " I am going to need help tomorrow how about it Eddy" he asked his son the boy who resembled his father to at tee gleamed "of course papa" Ray looked to his two eldest "Bee and Lizzy how about you help me as well" Bee laughed "okay papa. But I was going to go over to Prissy's with Lizzy" she frowned.
"Well you can go after you help me for an hour" the two daughters got up from their chairs and kissed their father on cheek "Thank you papa" Bee said then little Lizzy put her two arms around her father and squealed to her father "thank you papa" he looked sternly at Bee "You and Prissy better not get Lizzy into any of your schemes" she giggled "we never do that papa" he rolled his eyes.
"Oh please lets eat Irene will be here soon" they continued and made their way to the parlor then arrived Irene and Dr. Sidey with their children. After working a year for Dr. Sidey they fell in love and married they had 4 children; Henry Jr. who was a year younger than Lizzy, 6 year old Madelyn, twin boys Robert and Clarence who were four. All of the children made their way outside to play while the parents sat and drank wine together "funny the way things turn out huh Maudie" Irene chuckled the sisters smiled "everything turned out all right for all of us" she turned to her husband sitting beside her and kissed him Dr. Sidey moved towards Irene and grinned at her "of course we are all lucky to have each other" and her kissed his wife. Ray looked up at Maud "I am lucky to have you and our children Liz was right in arranging us together I don't know what would happen to me if It hadn't been for you. I love you Maud" she leaned into her husband's shoulder and kissed him again "I love you too Ray Barclay".
