"Would you finally tell me what happened?" Violet demanded.

She has been questioning me since yesterday about the incident in the stall.

"How many times do I have to tell you? He mistakenly locked us in there and a spider climbed my shoulder which he was helping get rid of when you two barged in" I shudder at the thought of the spider.

After the incident, Christian explained everything to Miss Helda and Violet but from the look Miss Helda gave me throughout breakfast today. I don't think she buys it.

She gives me an incredulous look for the umpteen time and I roll my eyes as usual.

"What more do you want to know if you won't believe me no matter what I tell you?!" I huffed in annoyance.

"I didn't say I don't believe you but please if you want to lie at least make it believable" she smirked.

"Somebody please take this woman away from me" I groaned and looked around the empty kitchen for help and just in time Helen comes in telling Violet Mrs Scott is asking for her.

"Thank you!! Dear sister" I threw myself on top of Helen and sighed in relief.

Violet left not before rolling her eyes at my drama.

"What?" Helen asked in confusion.

"Nothing baby doll, help me take these to the dining table" I gestured at the dishes on top of the counter.

You must be wondering where everyone is? Well, today we went grand on dinner because an unknown important guest is coming over for dinner so they are all doing the extra final cleaning while Violet, Mrs Scott and I were put in charge of dishing out the food.

I tried finding out who this mysterious guest is but to no avail. Even Iris doesn't know about him or she. And Brad and Avalor are having dinner in the guestroom and instructed no one to be in the room which makes me even more curious.

We enter the dining room and put the food on the table. I look up to see a smirking blue eyed dork eyeing me up and I discreetly shove him the middle finger which makes him to double over in laughter.

Ever since Miss Helda and Violet caught us in a rather unpleasant posture, his ego seemed to have grown even bigger than before as he keeps giving me arrogant smirks and winks which just make me gag despite the pit of butterflies in my belly.

I heard the front door being opened and I move to see who is there when a voice stops me.

"Rosa?" He called.

I turned around and give him a very forced smile "Yes sir?" I answered.

"Mind helping me with the soup?" He asked in a polite tone but his amused smirk kills any politeness.

"No, not at all" I moved and dished the soup out for him.

"You seem very eager to leave my side, angel" he whispered when I was within hearing distance.

"I like to maintain social distance from people with ARROGANT-19 and COCKY VIRUS. I heard it's airborne now" I still kept the exaggerated smile on my face.

"Ha,ha" he deadpan and I rolled my eyes at him and went back to the kitchen.

"Here give it to me" I see Chloe with a tray obviously for the mysterious guest.

"No. If Miss Helda sees you instead of me, she will chew out my head for being lazy on duty and whatnot" she shook her head vehemently and as much as I hate it, she is right. I don't want to put anyone in trouble, I already have a baggage of that, thank you.

After a few minutes of the suffocating dinner courtesy, Christian Sundew, I am outside taking a fresh air and my mind unconsciously goes back to what I have found out the past week I have been here.

The rose, the badge.

They could only mean one thing. Father had a business connection with the Bladderworts.

But what would a petty farmer have to do with a multimillionaire company?

I can already feel the headache brew in the back of my head.

I heard a ruffle in the grass and footsteps heading this way.

I see the figure's face as he comes under the light and I take a step back out of shock as I see the very man I haven't seen in ten years.

"U-uncle Ray"
