Chapter 11 - Sweat

Shapeshifter walked in the room and looked around. No one was there.

"Don't even think of screaming cause he can't hear you. We're in a reflection room. No matter what you or I do it won't affect anyone unless I take down the room. You wouldn't hit a girl would you let alone your own blood?" She whispered in my ear.

I took a big ol bite of flesh out of her hand and screamed and retracted her bleeding hand. I pushed her off and spit her flesh and blood back at her. She shriveled and dropped the knife. I acted.

I could hear the chains spring loose as I pulled and ripped. The ball on one broke free and I clabbered Silver over the head with it hard. The rest of the chains came up and before I could unchain my feet she was on me and tried to choke me out. I couldn't breathe. I swung my left chain, wrapped her body and flung her into the far wall as hard as I could. Her body indented the wall and a few stones fell to the ground.

"You're strong," She said, standing up and wiping the blood from her mouth.

I broke the rest of the chains and lunged. She sidestepped and my fist dented the wall.

"But I'm stronger."

She delivered a rapid set of blows, one to my face then to the other side; one to my ribs then to my bandaged side. I fell to my knees.

Blood was dripping on the floor but for the most part I was happy that Shapeshifter and Shade wrapped my bandage so tight. It wouldn't last though I knew.

"I don't want to hurt you sis but if you keep persuing then I'll have no choice."

She raised her fists, I dove into her and we fell forward.

"Don't make me!"

She criss-crossed her legs on my back and squeezed. I could feel my bones starting to crack.

"You weren't the only one imbued with strength."

We both saw the blade at the same time. She reached her hand out. I put mine underneath her and rolled her over. She pulled the knife and pointed it at my neck. I held her back but she was stronger. I sucked in and kicked her off. She toppled and dropped the knife.

I lay on the floor recovering but could not give up. She stood up and stumbled forward. My eyes laid upon the knife in front of her. She reached. In a flash I was up, extended my arms wide and flipped her. She stared at the ceiling.... helpless. I took hold of her hand and wrapped my legs around hers so she couldn't go anywhere. We struggled but I finally got the blade free and out of the reach of her clutches. She squirmed but I held fast and tightened my grip just a little.

"Sis, please. I may have not been there before but I am here now and I know how you feel. The one person you grew up with suddenly disappears and is never there for you when you need them most. The only thing you want to do when you see them again is express your full hurt and anger at them not knowing the whole entire time they tried their hardest to find a way back to you but couldn't."

She kept resisting but slowed then suddenly stopped. I saw the chains by my head and knew what to do. I let go one hand, grabbed one, punched a hole in the floor and wrapped the chain around her tight then secured her to the floor while I slid out and stood up with the blade in my hands.
