Who would expect that in Nelson BC, under a waterfall, a large pack of wolves- werewolves live there? Well neither would I. Considering that it's a pretty nice place to live. The people are kind and simple, don't get involved in others peoples business but generally mean well.
Rather seeing wolves as a threat or a type of vermin, they get along fine with them and the pack known as White Fang looks after the town in turn.
However the idea of werewolves existing in Nelson BC Canada? They're just a myth.
The (imperial) White Fang pack went into hiding around six years or so ago, from a group of rogues known as Black Moon. Killing almost half of the pack including the former Alpha and his abandoned mate Alison Fang, the mother of current Alpha Marcus Fang.
Their pack territory is large and has many connections with other packs in and abroad, specifically America. The Imperial Fang although some may secretly argue as being a shadow of what it was now, one wouldn't dare openly discuss it aloud for fear of retribution.
Specifically by Marcus Fang- the Alpha himself, known by many as a heartless killer especially to rogues. A large white wolf nicknamed the red wolf, for the way he rips a wolf to shreds- concentrating on spilling the most blood.
However, as the rightful leader he is-he's protecting his people and though some may argue about his lack of a Luna. Who would dare pick up that position? It's not like anyone hasn't tried.
It is a known fact in the werewolf community that one finds or has the ability to find their soulmate at sixteen, generally the age of pubescence. However, what everyone does not know is that Marcus met his mate at the age of twelve accidentally.
Later researching this phenomenon he found it to be an attribute to high ranking wolves. Those who suffer from the violence of war at an early age, a type of coping mechanism bringing about a more deep rooted bond. Heaven forbid if either partner suddenly die leaving the other behind, or without having known them.
Initially many of the unmated wolves would stand before him, in hopes to be bedded by the Alpha- to be chosen for the position. But they wouldn't last the night, a bloodied corpse found on the porch of the pack house said it all.
If their Alpha Marcus Fang was unable to find his soulmate assigned by the moon goddess, he would rather not have one. Instead of choosing a third rate wolf for the job, responsibilities and duties of a Luna would be handled by the Beta's wife Jodie.
Naturally because as he trusted his second in command, Wade Foster he had no doubt he could trust Jodie to look after the female wolves of their pack. Mostly having respect for her because of her kind nature and their Alphas decision, but there were always ones who always pushed their luck.
Not giving up the chance to be considered for the full role of Luna, as it slowly became more of a secretarial position than the wife of the Alpha.

Slipping out of the private study in his own mansion, away from the various distractions of other wolves. Marcus placed his used dishes in the sink and cleaned up after himself.
Making his way quickly to his sisters room, Cassie who was getting ready for bed. Six years ago his then two year old sister would have died had it not been for his grandfathers quick hands, promising himself that no matter how busy he is with duties he'd always make time out of his busy schedule.
His grandfather being the Alpha before his father had only acknowledged himself and his sister as his grandchildren, earning both of his father and 'Leah's' hatred. He helped raise them by re-occupying the position of Alpha until his sixteenth birthday, using the rest of his time to help his sister who was still badly suffering from emotional trauma and travelling the world to meet old friend's.
"Jodie, Cassie can I come in?" His deep voice penetrated through the door as he briefly knocked.
"Yes Alpha! I was about to read her a story before bed." She smiled a little stiffly as the door opened, caressing the adorable girls strawberry-blonde locks. Swamped in thick cotton bedding, a fleece handmade rabbit doll tucked in her embrace.
"I'll do it." Taking the book from her as she quickly sped off, closing the door silently behind her.
Dressed in a matching pair of grey sweat pants his green eyes flashed with adoration, sliding beside the little girl a cheeky smile on his handsome and chiselled face.
"Can brother have a hug?" He whispered as he stretched out his long muscular arms to her, his heart wrenching seeing her stubborn pouting.
Unshed tears making her similar green eyes misty and red, "Are you going to leave me again?" Hiding her face behind the big rabbit doll as tears rolled down her reddened cheeks.
Sighing a bitter smile on his face, he carried her onto his lap and patted her back until she calmed down. His chocolate brown hair tickling her forehead, as he whispered soothing words in her ear.
"I'll be back as soon as possible." He said kissing her small hands that trembled in his own. "I'll only be gone for a week."
Shaking her head vigorously she jumped in his arms and wrapped her tiny arms around her neck, her scratchy voice making him anxious.
"Cassandra." He warned lightly threatening, worrying about her having an attack.
A little scared she whispered in his ear, "I still get nightmares... Marcus-I'm scared."
His eyes darkened partially, his jaw clenching before carrying her back into bed and patting her back.
"What do you want me to do so I can go?" Not knowing what to do, thinking he might as well ask her.
"Can I come too?" She asked in a tiny voice, squeezing his clothes.
"You get upset when I shout and isn't it your first time abroad?" He thought a little worried about what can go wrong.
"Isn't Jodie going too? Then who would I have to look after me... Wade?,Alice?" She made an ugly face as she thought about how the girl was always trying use her to get her brothers attention.
"What about Grandfather?" He asked thinking, smoothing out the deep frown on her forehead.
"He's gone off to visit a friend again!",Clicking her tongue in annoyance.
In the comfortable silence Marcus patted her back as she rubbed her eyes, looking at him with uncertainty as she thought of something.
"When am I going to see..er?- Blue again?" She suddenly asked curiously, waiting for Marcus to answer.
"Blue?-Who is Blue?"
"She reminds me of Elsa but she's cooler and prettier than Elsa." She mumbled.
'Is she making something up?'
"Why?" He squeezed her hand a little.
"Because she's real." She whined as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "My dreams aren't so bad when she's in them."

Sending a message to Wade and Jodie via the mind link, he entered his study an ominous look on his face.
"No response?" He growled, taking the seat at his desk.
"The situation is that, that part of land is pack territory." Wade reiterated in clarification. "But according to records the Okuyama's have occupied that space for a little more than a decade, despite never stepping foot here and no one really knowing who they are."
"Why is this such a big issue? And why is that I'm going?" Slamming down the itinerary documents on the desk, in frustration.
"Alpha we don't want them coming here unannounced just because they have a space here- we don't even know if there friend or foe." He explained logically, his back straight and firm.
"The reason why your going is because we found this in your grandfathers bedroom." Picking up the beautiful invitation that was a dark cerulean colour.
"With me here, you can sightsee and have a break for once." A smile on his face. "I hear September in Japan is cherry blossom season, so it'll be a good idea to take Cassie."
He grunted with agreement, going over what work was left over as well as any other details in preparation for the trip. Finalising who was attending to leave this Saturday, as well as pack responsibilities .e.g. who was going to be in charge of what whilst he was gone.

Japan, Hakuba Okuyama Residence
Looking at his wrinkled, red faced and sweaty friend Ise Okuyama poured in another cup of Sake. His naturally cold body turning the lukewarm Sake a little icy at his finger tips.
"I suppose you enjoyed the hot spring?", his monotonous voice rang out as they both watched the plum blossoms flailing in the wind. A stream of petals looking at the ground.
"Yes I did- I almost fell asleep several times." He chuckled his brown eyes sparkling with intelligence.
"But that's not what I'm here for it's Aoi- my little Blues awakening ceremony is it not?... You've been a bad grandfather haven't you Ise?"
Hearing him he almost spluttered the contents out on the floor, covering his mouth with the black sleeve of his Yukata.
"Shut up Jacob." His dark blue eyes sparkling with sparks of white. "I punished her because she did wrong and it also helped her control her power better." Flicking the shoulder length white hair behind him.
"Ise you induced a three year coma, burying her in several ft of ice? Did she finally retaliate against her uncle and that snotty kid of his?" He asked growling, sarcasm dripping from his eyes.
"She assaulted her almost freezing her to death." He paused, swallowing with difficulty.
"Why?" His, brown eyes shining a little golden.
"She said her cousin Ayame stole her mother's necklace, containing her condensed lifeforce." Spitting out the words with restraint.
"Wouldn't that mean Mizuki didn't die but was-" A gust of icy wind flooded in as he stood up right with poise, hiding the blade of ice he had made unconsciously in his hands.
"I am protecting her!" He shouted. A large snarl coming from Jacobs mouth, making the atmosphere tense.
"Are you sure you're protecting her or yourself?", Vibrant yellow eyes burning in vigilance. "Just in case you've forgotten her father warned me about our pack tragedy, because of his gifts of the divine and what not."
"Impossible-she's taken heavily after her mother." He said quickly in response.
"But what if she has? Were you there when she was asleep for three years?, She's her fathers child as she is her mother's!"
"Just so you know." He said with a sigh, "If she asks me for help I won't be able to refuse her, regardless of our friendship. She saved my granddaughter and she's also an adult, you can't stop her when she wants to know the truth."
