Café Scene
"Hurray! Finally, we're here," I cheered, pointing out at my usual hangout. "Very classic," he commented, gazing in admiration at the café. "Well, actually this café belongs to one of my besties. He inherited it from his late grandfather so that's why we get to enjoy free food every day," I explained. "So, you're friend with him just because he's rich?" Hearing his question, I frowned with my arms folded. "Of course not! I'm not a gold digger and for your information, we've been best friends since in high school," I pouted, ignoring him. "I'm sorry, please forgive me," begged Lukas, clasping his hand pleads for forgiveness. Hehehe! It's funny to see him like that. "What's so funny?" Lukas asked. "The way you apologise," I laughed, mimicking his action. Seeing how funny I'm imitating him, he tried to contain himself. "I'm sorry, please forgive me," I mimicked his voice which caused Lukas let out a stifled laugh.
"Hey lovebirds! Why're you two still outside?" a female voice which I recognise greeted. "Hey, Christine!" I greeted her back. Christine Waltraud Anguilar a.k.a The Flirty Fashionista. The richest and the youngest among my best friends. She takes BDes in Fashion Design mainly because of her mom's one of the most famous fashion designers in the world. "Gosh! What're you wearing? You're wearing nothing but trash!" criticised Christine. Grrr-! Being the daughter of a famous fashion designer doesn't make you a 'Fashion Guru', Christine! She always criticises me when it comes to my fashion sense and then forces me to wear her branded and luxury clothes. If I don't wear her clothes, she's gonna throw away my clothes. Well, she can't blame me if I like the way I'm wearing. "But I have my rights to wear whatever I want!" I complained. No reply from her. That's strange... "Hey, you're like my favourite cup of coffee, hot and lip-smacking! ❤" she said in a flirtatious way. OH MY GOD! Even Lukas she flirts too?! Every time she meets a man, she won't stop flirting at them! With her fair face without any makeup and her natural ginger hair, many men have a crush on her... Let's just say she's similar with Aphrodite who's flirting with Gods and also the prettiest goddess in Mount Olympus. The weirdest thing is she's a natural flirt but she's still single until now. "I do not understand what are you talking about," replied Lukas with a blank expression on his face. I patted his shoulder, trying to hold my laugh. "That's not funny! Natasha." she fumed. "And you young man! You're so weird," she glared at him, still displaying his blank face. "Thank you for your lovely compliment," he replied which brings rage to Christine. "It's not a compliment, you—" "Christine, would you mind showing us the table?" I said before she could curse at him. She glares at me but then she took a deep breath. "As for usual, right beside the bookshelves," she sighed. "Do you wanna come with us?" I asked. She took out her compact mirror and a lipstick case then replied: "Nah. Just wanna colour my lip for a while here," Urgh! Applying makeup as usual. I gave her a nod then Lukas and I went inside.
"Welcome! Natasha and a new friend." greeted the barista after we came in. "Hey, Erik! How's going with your highschool life?" I greeted him back. He let out a sigh, scratching his head. "I haven't finished my homework, " "I can help you with that!" Erik looked at me hesitantly. "If there's any problem with your homework, I can help you!" I bubbled with enthusiasm. "I'll appreciate it—" he saw something behind me which I don't know then all of a sudden he faced down the floor. I looked behind me but it's only the friendly guy that I know since high school and Erik's older brother, Richard Dankworth. He smiled, waving his hand at us but his happy demeanour scared Erik...for no reason. "Natasha! Sorry for coming late." apologized Richard. "Nah, I just got here with Lukas," I replied. Richard's eyes went on Lukas then lent him his hand. "Richard Dankworth, yours?" "Lukas Gruber. A pleasure to meet you," replied Lukas, shaking his hand firmly. "Lukas can play the piano well, Richard!" I told Richard, complimenting Lukas's music skill. I took a glance at Lukas and his cheeks were dusted with pink, flustered by what I said. Lukas's so cute when he's embarrassing! "Not just that, he even—" "Erik! Get back here right now," yelled Richard, interrupting what I was about to say. Jeez! At least let me finish what I want to say! "I'm sorry, sir. Erik's not here," explained the waitress, coming out from the kitchen. "He said he had something to do," she continued. "I swear if I see him I'll punch him in the face!" grumbled Richard. "What did you say?" I asked Richard. "Nothing, dear," he replied, giving me a forced smile. His smile seems off...is there anything problem with Erik? Never mind, it's none of my business. "Miss, what I can help for you?" asked the waitress. "Give me three plates of cookies and three cups of caramel macchiatos," I told the waitress which she nodded and headed back to the kitchen. "Isn't it great to have me as your friend? You'll get to enjoy free food every day!" boasted Richard, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Isn't it awesome that we get to hang out together!" whispered Maria who came out of nowhere then hugged me tightly from the back. I panted heavily, signalling her to let go of me. She smiled, letting me go. "Sorry!" "How it's going with your new boyfriend?" asked Maria jokingly. "How bold to say that he's my boyfriend even though he's here," I sighed. She looked around, looking for Lukas. "Where? It's only Richard here," Seriously? He's right behind me....where's he? Did Lukas leave me because I ignored him or...did he thinks that I'm boring? "Hahaha! Just say that you fail to get him," laughed Maria. "I could have sworn he was here just now," I mumbled. "Your husband runs away from—" "You two need to pay attention your surroundings," sighed Richard. "That it's him," pointed Richard at Lukas who was talking to a waitress. Then, he approached a piano there and took a sit. "Wow! Is he going to—" "Zip your mouth and watch," I shut her off. "Relax! I won't steal him," she whispered. "Silent, Maria! She belongs to everyone," hissed Richard, glaring at her. She pouted at him then ignored him. God bless you, Richard! Thank you for that! Lukas began to play without any music sheets. Those who were here, stopping what they were doing and looked at Lukas. His songs and his passion tell the story of his music. We were amazed to hear such a beautiful song from a musical prodigy! "He's so amazing!" whispered Maria. "Rich, I heard you need a private piano tutor," she continued. I looked at Richard in disbelief. Why would he need it? "Why don't you hire him?" suggested Maria. He let out a smile with his arms crossed. "If I do that, he might ruin my reputation." "Did I sense jealousy just now, Richard?" she asked with her mocking tone. They are so annoying! I can't watch Lukas without peace. I nudged them with my sharp elbows, to tell them to be quiet. They won't stop talking... I guess I go take a seat there.
"Bravo!" cheered a man accompanied by the others clapped hand and whistled excitedly. Lukas bowed then headed towards me. "Do you like it?" he asked. I gave him a thumb up then replied with a smile, "Best as usual!" He smiled bashfully, trying to hide his face from me. He's so cute when he's shy...what on earth are Maria and Richard doing? Why's she sneaking behind him and don't tell me even Richard tags along too?! "You're so awesome, Lukas!" shouted Maria right into his ear, causing Lukas let out a shout of surprise. She giggled which it brings discomfort to him. "Apologize to him now!" I scolded but she's still turning a deaf ear. "Could you at least stop acting like a child?" sighed Richard in annoyance. She pouted, giving him an irritating look but his sharp glare cuts her off. "Do what she told, Maria," Wow...his glare can be sometimes deadly. "I'm sorry, Lukas." apologized Maria. "That's okay. I guess that's your friendly way to treat anyone," he replied. After hearing his words, her eyes shine brightly. "Guys, I have an idea!" she grinned. Gulp! Last time, she suggested a game and it went horrible. "What is it?" Maria held Lukas's hand and replied,
"Let's make a welcome party to our new guy, Lukas!"
