"I would like you to meet the director of the film."
Amanda looked next to Manager Yula and saw a familiar man. Of course! Who wouldn't know Director Lance Fang. A multi-awarded director locally and internationally.
"This is Director Lance, I'm sure you know him," said Manager Yula. Amanda smiled and extended her hand to initiate a handshake.
"Hi, director. I am Amanda Lao. Nice to meet you," she said while waiting for the director to accept her hand.
Director Lance smiled and took her hand.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you too. I've heard a lot about you," Director Lance said and took her hand.
Director Lance then let go and so is Amanda after a 3-second handshake.
"Let me introduce you to the team, Amanda," the director said.
Amanda chuckled and shyly smiled.
"I think that it is very grand that the director himself is going to introduce our Amanda to the team," Manager Yula said.
The director laughed. "Oh, Amanda is new in the filming industry, Yula. Plus, I still have time to introduce her to everyone."
"Well, who are we to reject this invitation?" Ms. Yula giggled.
"So let's go now. The team is excited to meet you, Amanda," Director Lance said and guided them to the conference hall.
The conference hall was on the other side of the building so it may take a while to get there. After a while, they reached the hall. The conference hall was filled with the crews that were also on a meeting.
"Guess like the production team is already done with their meeting. Let me start with introducing you to our producer Anna Cheng and our executive producer Mr. Kevin," the director said and tapped the producers back.
Anna Cheng turned around and smiled. She stood up and extended her arm to Amanda.
"Hello, Amanda. I've heard a lot about you these past few days. Yula here said that you are great at acting," she said and grinned.
Amanda shyly laughed. "I am so flattered Ms. Anna, but I can't call myself 'great' yet. I have to learn from you and the other actors."
"I think I like you already, Amanda. I'll look forward to seeing you act on the set," she looked at the director and Ms. Yula, "Director, Yula, and Amanda I have to go already. I have to catch up with the crew," she said as she excused herself out.
Director Lance and Ms. Yula waved goodbye. Amanda also waved goodbye and looked around the hall. The hall was spacious and only a big table was in the middle. Assistants were preparing some stuff and she can say that the hall was kinda hectic.
Director Lance introduced her to the crew and she can say that everyone was nice to her. Everyone treated her like a real star. She just laughed at that phrase.
"Well, I still have to get the other crew prepared so I have to get going now. See you later Amanda," Director Lance said and walked to the other side of the hall.
"We still have 10 minutes before the script reading. Do you wanna go around the hotel?" Ms. Yula asked Amanda.
Amanda knew that the hotel had some amenities that other hotels don't have. She wanted to go and explore but that is not what she came in here for.
'Maybe I can explore them in my free time!' She thought to herself.
"Hmm, I think we should just stay here and wait. I don't want to miss some happenings in the hall," Amanda said to Ms. Yula.
Ms. Yula just nodded and excused herself for a while to check for Amanda's spot and left Amanda alone in their place.
Amanda sighed and said to herself, "Let the acting career begin!"
