Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

It's Wednesday. It's still the first week of the current school year and there are no regular classes yet for the students. You could see most of them just roaming around the campus. For Jennie, it will be a very busy day as today is Club Signing Day. How Jennie sometimes wishes that she's just a regular student who has much free-time to spend as well but she knows that it is never the same for a student council officer. Not that she's complaining but she just sometimes wonders how it feels like to be a normal person.

The conversation she had the other night with her grandfather is still bothering her but she knew that she needs to collect herself right now or everything for today's event would be a mess.

"Are these the last documents needed to be signed?", she asked Yeri, who is standing across her table, waiting for her to finish signing the papers needed for today.

"Yes, Pres. That's all. Your next schedule is your speech at the opening ceremony that will be held at the university's gymnasium.", Yeri promptly answered.

"It's just the first week and we already have lots of things to do. I'm sorry, Yeri. You must be getting tired of me already.", Jennie pulled up an apologetic smile to her secretary.

"Please, don't mind me. I am already beyond grateful that your family has chosen me as one of it's full-time scholars and I am very much happy that I could repay your family's kindness by helping you out here in the council. I love doing this, Ms. President.", the secretary genuinely smiled.

"But still, if you needed a break, you can always tell me."

Yeri smiled and nodded to her as she took the papers from Jennie.

"Gomawoyo, Yeri."

"Always got you, Pres. See you in a bit."

Jennie took a sip of her usual tea as soon as Yeri left. The tea is already cold but she drank it anyway. All the documents and approval letters should've already been sent to her yesterday but it seems like a lot of groups are still procrastinating for the last minute preparations. After this Club Signing event, the next days would be the discussion of the clubs' budget allocations and a bunch of board meetings. She also needs to insert her duties at the NIS in between her busy school responsibilities. She still needs to train after all. The agency might call her one of these days for an update about their mission so she needs to prepare for it. It might be a handful for a normal youth to handle so many tasks but for Jennie, it's what makes her feel more alive.

She heard a soft knock on her door.

"Come in.", she called out. The door swung open and revealed Irene.

"Jennie, we need to go now. Have you prepared your speech?", the VP asked.

Jennie nodded and stood from her seat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Jennie had just finished giving her speech. She was standing at the corner of the stage together with her officers and was waiting for her grandfather, the chairman, to finish his welcoming address. Her blue eyes drifted every now and then among the sea of students standing below the stage, looking up to them. Almost all the students she knew by face and by name are present at this ceremony. Nayeon is standing together with their other blockmates. She can see Kai at the left side of the gymnasium with his soccer team, not even paying attention to what's happening on stage. Eunwoo is with the freshmen, making sure that the newcomers are well-organized and comfortable on their first week. Then a certain brunette caught her eye. Kim Jisoo was kinda easy to recognize because she doesn't know any other person as charming as this girl. The brunette wasn't paying attention to the stage as well but she was talking to a frowning, but still looking pretty Park Chaeyoung. From Jennie's point of view, the two seem to be in an argument. Jennie turned her gaze to the certain blonde beside Kim Jisoo and there was Lisa Manoban, looking bored as always, but still, her cold beauty seemed to stand out. Jennie cannot help herself but to stare forever until Irene coughed on purpose to pull her out of her trance. The president blinked and glanced at the empty podium. The program was already finished.

"Are you okay? You spaced out a bit there.", Irene asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just surprised that a lot of people attended today's assembly. Seems like our SNU family is growing.", Jennie quickly answered, denying even to herself the real reason why she was spacing out.

Irene smiled at her. "Right. It will be a busy year. Now get your ass down there. We have to check the area if the booths are doing well."

Jennie chuckled. Irene will always be Irene. "Gaja."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Where were you last night??", Chaeyoung asked Jisoo, sounding so annoyed. The program has just finished and they are just wandering around the campus, checking the colorful booths around. It is like a festival here on campus today and the best thing about it are the free-tastes those different food clubs are handing out. "I waited for you. You said you would train me!"

"I.. I was.. I had some important matters to attend to", Jisoo answered, looking at the ground. The truth is, she got nervous. Having Chaeng in a close proximity is already making her uneasy in a very weird but good way and what more could this woman do to her if it already involves physical contact?

"You should've told me. Thankfully, Seulgi was there."

Jisoo's eyebrows furrowed. "Seulgi what?

"Seulgi helped me out. She said she was doing her rounds when she spotted me in the training room. I told her you ditched me, so she offered to give me a hand."

Jisoo let out a heavy sigh. "W-what did you do for training?"

"Just the basics. More like a refresher of my self-defence skills."

"T-that's it?", Jisoo coughed to shoo the stuttering away. She needs to fucking compose herself in front of Chaeng or else, she would be like this everytime they are together. Plus, Lisa is already eyeing her curiously. Her friend must already be thinking what the fuck is wrong with her.

"Well, yeah. I didn't know she was that good. I couldn't even land a solid hit. Next thing I knew, she had already pinned me to the ground."

Well, an image of Seulgi pinning Chaeng to the ground is not a very good image to imagine for Jisoo. Of course, she knew that Seulgi is not the type to hit on girls here and there but Park Chaeyoung is one hella attractive girl and she couldn't blame her friend if indeed she's interested in this red-head.

"Tss. Seulgi went too easy on you." "Let me tell you what, I'll be there later and I'm gonna go hard." As soon as Jisoo finished her sentence, her face went tomato red as that didn't really sound so appropriate.

Chaeng threw her a concerned look. "Are you okay? Your face is--"

"I'm fine!", she countered. She took a deep breath. "Just fucking be there later, damn it."

"Yeah, whatever. Anyways, should we join a club or something?"

"What? Are you in highschool?", Jisoo snickered.

"Come on! I think it'll be fun. What do you think, Lisa?", she turned to her sister.

"Spare me this bullshit.", the blonde answered.

Jisoo mouthed 'I told you.' to Chaeng which Chaeng replied with an eye roll.

They are now walking near the field where most of the sports club tryouts are being held. This campus is so huge that it has 3 different fields but this is the main and the largest one. They sat on the bleachers to watch the soccer team's tryout just because there's pretty much nothing else to do. Lisa also thought about just ditching this stupid event and do some business that would make them earn money but she also considered taking it easy on the first week.

"Hey, why don't you do the tryouts?", Jisoo blurted out, looking at her blonde friend.

Lisa raised an eyebrow.

"I just remembered. You played soccer when we were in highschool, right?"

"What the fuck are you saying?"

"What I'm saying is, you used to play soccer and you're good at it. You know, just a pastime or a diversion when you're fed up or something. I believe there is a women division here."

"And what I'm saying is, are you fucking out of your mind? I don't do stupid things anymore. It won't gain me anything."

"It's the first time that Jisoo has said something senseful today and I believe it is a good idea.", Chaeng agreed, smiling so brightly at her sister.

"Fucking shut up or I'll shoot you both in the head."

Chaeyoung was taken aback by the warning. She knew Lisa didn't really mean what she said but it's kinda bothering how her sister gets easily agitated these days.

"You know what, I'm gonna go buy us some snacks and drinks over there. Y'all need something to cool your heads.", she stood up, went out of the field and headed over to the food stalls.

"Don't tell me you are carrying a fucking pistol right now?", Jisoo said in a very quiet voice once Chaeng was gone.

Lisa didn't literally answer the question but Jisoo knew that it's a yes. "It's just a pocket pistol. Leo is still under repair."

"You are out of your mi--"

"Don't start with me, Kim Jisoo. We shouldn't even be schooling anymore. We don't really need this college bullshit. I can run the business without this. This isn't a place for me. Everyone is fucking annoying.", Lisa hissed.

That was a whole goddamn paragraph from Lisa and Jisoo was impressed. It's hard to get her to talk most of the time. Yes, it's not normal for a college student to carry a gun inside the campus but she also kinda gets why Lisa is acting this way. The leader must be on edge because her sister is now part of the group and anytime, she could be in danger. Plus, their HQ had just been spied on.

Jisoo sighed and tried to be as understanding as possible. "I know. I also wanted to go full time, you know that. But you made a promise to him. You promised that you will watch over your sister and that is why you have agreed to go to the same school as her. I know you hated school after that shit happened and just wanted to focus on running the group but you still did it anyway because you wanted to be there for Chaeng. Come to think of it, it's the last year. I know you wouldn't waste that past three years of college just to quit on the last one."

Lisa hates it when Jisoo makes sense.

"You seemed to be okay with working in the hood and doing university at the same time for the past two years. I noticed some changes."

Jisoo knows that this conversation is getting serious and deep but she needs Lisa to open up even just a bit. "You changed when we transferred here in Korea. It's like you're always on edge, always frustrated about everything. I am very much aware that we are on our enemy's turf but didn't we agree we'll take things slowly and smoothly?"

"Well, time is fucking running, Jisoo. It's been five years and that motherfucking asshole is still on loose, still alive and still breathing and I fucking hate it. We didn't even know his name, we didn't even know what he looked like. All we know is a fucking alias called 'Guardian'. I want him dead."

"Yes, but that's the same for our rival groups. They still didn't know us. They still didn't know who's behind the Black Parade and how our group managed to climb it's way to the top of the list. You are doing very well, Lisa. We just have to keep things the way it is for now and the next thing EXO would know is that we're just right under their noses, ready to stab and take them down."

Lisa exhaled heavily as if she was holding her breath for quite some time now. Jisoo is right. They need to work on things smoothly and everything will just turn out fine.

"Arasso.", she said.

Jisoo patted her slightly at the back, letting her know that she's with her through all of these. Lisa can't thank her friend enough for everything. Of course, she cannot say it in words so she would just do her best to calm herself down and try not to snap at people every now and then.

"What did I miss? Freakin long lines on all of the food stalls. I got us some fish cakes.". Chaeng came and sat beside Jisoo. She handed them Coke and the paper cups containing skewered fishcakes.

"Nothing. I was still persuading Lisa to play the ball but this bitch is playing humble, saying she's not good at it anymore.", Jisoo said as if that's really what they are talking about.

Lisa gave her an eye telling her to stop this soccer nonsense but she just ignored it because it's fun to see Lisa's annoyed face. "Why don't you convince your sister? Maybe she'll listen to you.", Jisoo told Chaeyoung.

"Come on, Lisa. Just give it a try. I did not study high school in Thailand so I never really got to see you play.", Chaeyoung tried.

Lisa just gave them a poker face.

"I don't think you're ready to see her play though. Back in the days, she was our school's star player and everyone went crazy over her.", Jisoo let out a goofy chuckle, knowing Lisa would be more annoyed by what she's blabbing.

Lisa just wants to punch Jisoo right now for over exaggerating things.

"She's that good?", Chaeng asked but just really wants to hype Lisa up.

"Yes, she's that good."

Someone behind them cleared his throat, effectively getting the attention of the three ladies. He is a tall guy with fair complexion. He's wearing the soccer team's jersey and it looked like he's getting ready to get on the field.

Jisoo raised an eyebrow at him.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you guys but I just happen to overheard that one of you is good at playing soccer?", he said.

"Yeah. And?", Jisoo inquired.

"Uh. I'm Oh Sehun. I'm one of the varsity players of soccer. I could line you up for the try out. What do you think?", he smiled at them.

"Oh. That's great! My friend here wants to try it out. Right, Lisa?", Jisoo responded enthusiastically.

"What the f---"

"Coach!!! Hey coach!! I have another one for the try out!", Sehun yelled, waving at his coach at the other side of the field, cutting Lisa's protest.

The blonde glared daggers at Jisoo but Jisoo just shrugged her shoulders, amused at the fact that this whole situation is getting more interesting than the way she planned it to be. One moment, they were just having a deep conversation about Lisa's insecurities and then the next thing is that this dude will practically make Lisa play soccer. This is hilarious.

"Bring that fella over here!", Sehun's coach shouted back.

Lisa was cornered. She really doesn't want to play stupid games anymore but she doesn't want to make a scene here either. There are a lot of students loitering around and she promised herself earlier that she'll try to restrain herself from smacking the hell out of people.

"Okay, just try it for the sake of fun. If you happen to pass, then just tell the coach you changed your mind.", Chaeng whispered. "You'll be fine. I know you'll do good."

"Gapsida?", Sehun gestured to Lisa to come with him to the field.

Lisa let out a heavy sigh, stood from the bleachers and went with him. Jisoo and Chaeyoung moved forward to the first row seats to watch the game closer.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"Who do we have here?", the coach asked Sehun.

"It's Lisa, coach. Lisa Manoban.", Sehun answered, giving Lisa a timid smile, hoping that he's pronouncing her name correctly. Of course he knows the blonde. Who wouldn't? It's just that he didn't expect this cold person to be interested in sports because of her personality and overhearing her friends talk about how good she is got him so excited to see her play. "I heard that she's good. Let's give her a try."

The coach, looking bored as hell, listed her name down and a few moments later, they were overwhelmed with soccer players. Some are giving her an eye. Some are throwing her curious glances and some are giving her disapproving looks. Lisa didn't pay them much attention because she's not really taking this seriously. She just wants to get this over and kicking the ball might really be a good idea to release the tension she's feeling right now.

"Shouldn't we be taking a break first, coach? We've been doing this since early in the morning.", a girl complained. Everyone murmured in agreement.

"Yeah, this is just a waste of time. She doesn't even look fit to play.", a guy eyed her from head to toe. "Do you even have a t-shirt or jersey or shorts? She obviously came unprepared."

"No, but I can manage.", Lisa answered, realizing as well that she's in her skinny jeans and combat boots.

A tall guy with big ears snickered at her. "I think she's not really that good as what Sehun is claiming."

"Chanyeol, stop it. You're sounding like a kid. Come on guys. Where are your manners? Let's give the girl and these other players a chance.", another guy stepped into the scene. She recognized this one. She always sees this guy around the campus.

"That's Kai, our team captain.", Sehun whispered. "Don't mind my teammates. They're just tired from all the training.", he smiled apologetically.

"We'll have our break after this.", Kai said authoritatively.

"Okay this is the lineup for the teams. Girls and boys would be mixed.", the coach stood and announced how the try outs will work.

Basically, they were grouped into a team of 11 players which consisted of 6 applicants and 5 tenured varsity players which will go against a team with the same number of players. Sehun and Lisa were teamed up together. Kai and Chanyeol are on the other team, with Chanyeol as the goalkeeper.

"Ready?", Sehun asked. Lisa grinned and nodded. It's been awhile and this somehow feels home.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Jennie is wondering where most of the students have gone. The main activity area is quite deserted and only a few students are roaming around the booths.

"Where are they?, Jennie asked no one in particular. Irene is beside her but she doesn't have an answer to it as well. If Jennie will do a head count, there are more or less than p50 students in the area and that is so unusual for a university that has thousands of students enrolled in it.

"I don't know. We had lots of attendees earlier at the opening ceremony.", Irene's eyes furrowed as she approached one of the booths. "Hey, do you know where the students are? This place is nearly empty.", she asked.

The girl wearing an apron and some kind of a chef's hat nodded. "The soccer team. They are having their tryouts and I heard Lisa Manoban signed up. Everyone got excited so I think the students are in the field, watching her game.", the girl explained.

Jennie muttered a silent 'Oh'.

"Would you like some cookies?", the girl offered them a tray of freshly baked cookies. The smell instantly made Jennie hungry.

"No, thanks. Let's go.", Irene dragged Jennie away from the booth.

"Why are you in a rush?", Jennie asked as they made their way to the main field where the soccer tryouts were being held.

"Nothing. I just want to talk to you about something."

"What is it?"

"It's not a big one but we got a tip." Irene said, almost a whisper, trying to be very much aware of their surroundings as possible.

"Tell me about it."

"Tonight. There will be a robbery at a convenience store in Jung. The chief gave me an order to lead the operation so I hope that you are prepared to do one on a very busy school day."

"You know that I always am. Who gave the info?"

"Chief said it was an anonymous call. A person who happens to overheard suspicious people, possibly gang members, talking about it in a public place."

"That sounds weird.", Jennie stopped walking and looked at Irene.

"I know. Who would talk about their crime plans in a public place? But I trust the chief."

Jennie nodded to Irene. "It might also be an amature group or a small one. If it is, it makes sense how careless they are."

"Right. I'll fill you with the other details later. Let's meet in the HQ to prep. For now, we have some students to deal with."

------------------------------------------------------------------

"KIM JONGIN!! KIM JONGIN!!"

Jennie heard some screams as they approached the main field. Kim Jongin is Kai's Korean name and so she assumes this is about the soccer team.

"OPPAAAAAAA!! FIGHTING!!", another girl squealed.

"Are they having a tryout match? Well it's not like this is the first time students watch their game. I don't understand the thick crowd and the excitement", Irene rolled her eyes. This day is about all of the clubs and organizations of this university and not just for one particular sport which by the way, consists mostly of jerks.

"Shut up! Look. Lisa is actually killing it. LISA-YAAAAH!! FIGHTING!!", screamed another.

Jennie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion because no way in hell that Lisa would do sports. Well, meeting her once makes her think that Lisa could do chess or checkers but definitely not a ball game.

"Well, it seems to be that your boyfriend and your new pal are having a match. That explains the crowd."

She was about to comment about the 'boyfriend' and 'new pal' thing because clearly, Kai is not her boyfriend yet and Lisa is not even friendly at all but Irene already penetrated the crowd and went down to the front seat of the bleachers to spectate. She quickly followed her VP and sat beside her.

On one side of the field is Kai's team, getting ready for a defence stance because Lisa Manoban has the ball under her feet. Kai seemed to notice the president's arrival and managed to give the lady a wink. He knew Jennie came here to support him. Their score was tied up against Lisa's team and he won't let this bitch win. He acted nice earlier and just wanted to have a friendly tryout match at first but not now that Jennie is watching. Lisa can kiss his ass but he needs this win.

Jennie happened to catch Kai's eyes and saw the wink. She mentally cringed at the sight of it but still offered the guy a weak smile. This guy would never stop showing off and Jennie could bet that he is loving the crowd and attention.

Lisa started to charge by kicking the ball towards the other team's goal net. She passed the ball to Sehun and ran forward so that she could receive it again later. She positioned herself to the spot not so far away from the goalkeeper. It's the mean tall guy earlier called Chanyeol. She waited for Sehun to get the ball to her direction.

Sehun was nearly approaching. He kicked the ball towards Lisa and the blonde retrieved it successfully. Chanyeol is waiting for her with a smug look on his face. She was about to strike but Kai blocked her way.

"Where do you think you are going, Lisa-shi?", Kai smirked as he blocked his well-built body in front of Lisa. "Do you really think you can score that goal? Do you really think you can win this game?", he snickered. "Come on. I was just being nice earlier but I can't really let you have this match. Even if it's not a serious one.", he broke his gaze and gave a quick glance to Jennie's direction.

Lisa followed his gaze and understood that this jerk was trying to impress the university's princess. ๐™‡๐™–๐™ข๐™š.

"We also both know that you don't have a place here. I can see that you are good, but not the best."

Lisa yawned. A habit she usually does when she finds the person she's talking to uninteresting. "Are you done?", she said nonchalantly.

Kai was confused because this bitch remained unbothered with all of the things he had said.

"Stop with your nonsense and catch me if you can." Lisa made a very quick side-step and ran towards the goal, playing the soccer ball with her feet.

Kai tried to run after her and tried to block the ball with his right foot but it just made it worse. Lisa was too fast and the action he did just made him unbalanced himself. And now that he's on the ground, all he could do is to watch Lisa's back, running away from him and ready to strike that goal.

The crowd went silent as people watched Lisa in awe, throwing her body backward up in the air. Before she descended to the ground, she did a shearing movement with her legs, kicking the ball mid-air.

BAM! The ball went inside the netted-cage effortlessly and the crowd went wild.

"The scissor kick..?", Chanyeol muttered to himself. He didn't even notice that the ball was already inside the net. He was too stunned to move after seeing the technique Lisa just did in front of him. Doing a scissor kick is not that easy. It requires a lot of practice and stamina for you to be able to throw and twist your body up in mid air, much more to properly execute the kick itself. A lot of things could go wrong and you could end up with a serious injury if it was not done properly. Kai can't even do it in a match. Yes, he can do it whenever they are in practice but it took him a lot of training before he did a successful one. But this Lisa just did it like it was nothing. Kai would be pissed.

The match was over and the coach approached the exhausted Lisa in the center of the field. "That was awesome, Lisa-shi.", he beamed with pride knowing that another talented athlete would be in his team. His dull demeanor lighted up and he'll make sure to thank Sehun for bringing Lisa for the tryout. "Congratulations. You're in.", he said and offered a hand.

Lisa refused to do the handshake. She was still catching her breath. Her legs are aching and her whole body feels like she was beaten by a very large baseball bat a hundred times. Maybe it's because she hasn't played soccer for years and this match was really unexpected that she didn't have the time to do a warm up exercise. Plus, playing soccer in your skinny jeans and combat boots was not a help at all. Lisa mentally noted not to do it again.

"Easy game.", she straightened herself up and smirked at Kai whose nose is about to flare.

"I just took it easy on you.", he responded rather loudly for his teammates to hear. Being defeated in your home court by a new recruit is quite embarrassing though and it doesn't help the fact that Jennie is watching.

"Training starts tomorrow. I'll have your jersey be done today so you can have something to use.", the coach patted her back and Lisa tried her best not to flip him over. Touch is a no no.

"Who said I wanna be in?"

The coach looked at her with a confused gaze. The players have the same expression on their faces.

"I'm sorry, I don't quite understand. Isn't it why you are here?", the coach asked.

"No. I just came here for fun.", Lisa sheepishly grinned and started walking away, feeling her pocket in the process to check if the prohibited item is still there. Thank goodness, it is. She can't have people finding a random gun in the middle of the field.

The coach looked at Sehun for an explanation. "Sorry about that coach. I'll try to convince her.", he said, knowing the coach really wanted Lisa's skills for the team. He ran after the blonde.

"Hey, wait!"

"What?", Lisa continued walking as Sehun was trying to catch up to her phase.

"You sure about that? You know you got skills and it would be a waste if---"

"Your teammates are jerks and your captain is a self-centered dick. And even if they are not, it's still a no.", Lisa said in a deadpan tone. "Stop following me because I already made up my mind the moment I went with you."

Sehun stopped on his tracks and just watched Lisa walk away. "Well, you can look for me if you ever change your mind!", he shouted from his spot.

Lisa just ignored the guys and went back to the bleachers where she left Jisoo and Chaeyoung.

"I didn't know that you're into soccer." a familiar soothing voice said, stopping Lisa from her tracks. She looked up and saw the president standing on the front aisle. She was taken aback and she practically froze on her spot.

"I'm not. Well, not anymore.", she answered shortly. She then shifted her gaze to the vice president beside Jennie who's giving her an eye. Their last encounter was not so good and that must be the cause of the glare but she's not really in the mood for a quarrel today.

"Let's head back, Jennie. We still have a lot of things to attend to.", Irene said.

"I'll just have a word with Lisa-shi. I'll meet you in the office.", Jennie politely smiled at her, hoping that Irene would just let it go.

"Is there a problem?", the VP asked.

Well there isn't any problem at all. Jennie just wants a little chit chat with Lisa and wants to check the blonde's injury from the other day too, which by the way is undressed. She also noticed that there is a fresh long gash on Lisa's left forearm. It's looks deep and recent and it's exposed. She wanted to asked about it but she knew the blonde wouldn't even give her anything. A cut under her eye, an injured knuckles, a long gash on her arm and a panting, sweaty Lisa. What else could go wrong? She shook her head a little to snap out of the inappropriate thoughts. Ever since she met this girl, her mind makes her think things that are improper for normal situations like this.

"There is none. I just need to speak to her about the incident last time."

Irene eyed Jennie curiously, then she looked at Lisa, who is now clutching her knees and breathing heavily then her eyes drifted back to Jennie.

"Fine.", Irene started walking away. Some students exited the area as well to get back to the activity center. There isn't much to watch here now that Lisa Manoban's match with Kai Jongin Kim is now over.

There was a moment of silence between the two. Jennie really didn't know what to say. She just wants Lisa to speak and hear her voice. Okay, that was weird but Jennie didn't know why as well. Lisa might have some kind of effect on her that she was still trying to figure out.

"Is Lisa-shi alright?", she asked, causing Lisa to look up at her.

Lisa was about to answer the question when her phone suddenly rang. Jisoo's name flashed on the screen. "Excuse me for a second."

"Sure, please go on."

Lisa turned sideways to answer the phone, eyeing Jennie cautiously from time to time because the call might not be a school-related one. "What?"

"Your sister's stomach is unbelievable. She's hungry AGAIN. We saw you talking to the president and didn't bother to interrupt.. We'll head to the main hide-out early for the training after feeding this monster. See you there.", Jisoo said in the other line.

Lisa was sure enough it's out of Jennie's hearing range and thank goodness she's not on loud speaker. "Fine. Whatever.", she hung up and put the phone back to her pocket.

"Sorry.", Lisa was not quite sure though why she had to apologize. Since when did she get so polite? "You were saying?"

"Is Lisa-shi alright?", Jennie repeated the question, piercing bravely right into Lisa's emerald eyes which she was trying hard to avoid the first time she met the blonde.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Why do you have to ask?", Lisa raised her eyebrow. If this is about the incident the other day, she swears to God council people of this university are just overreacting to a mere school fight.

"Relax, this is not about what you think it is. Come, walk with me.", Jennie went down to the field which is now quite deserted because most of the soccer players might be having their break. There are still a couple ones on training but she can't see Kai around, which is a good thing.

Lisa hesitantly followed Jennie. She doesn't know what the hell this president wants and she's not really good at conversing with people. Well. she just met Jennie the other day and here she is, acting like they know each other for too long. Her stomach is starting to feel uneasy.

"So what do you want?", Lisa asked rather rudely as she walked alongside the president.

"Oh. I do not want anything. I just want to check Lisa-shi's injury from the other day.", Jennie glanced at the fully exposed wound. She didn't expect Lisa to take care of it though. The blonde seems to be the hard-headed type.

"It's fine. It will just heal eventually.", Lisa tried stretching her damaged fist and regretted doing it. She just made the injury worse when she bashed Dickhead's face the other night. "What is the president doing in a soccer match?"

Jennie smiled, glad that Lisa is asking questions. "Irene and I checked the booths earlier and was surprised that the place was nearly empty. A girl pointed us to the soccer field. Lisa-shi has met the vice president, right? Irene loves doing her job and wants everything to be organized so we went here to check what the commotion is about.", she explained, loving the fact that she is having this conversation with Lisa. She just hoped the blonde wouldn't find her so boring. She really wants to be friends with this cold girl.

"Does she have any problem with me?", Lisa asked. She doesn't remember any encounter with Irene prior to Dickhead's incident but it seems like the bitch knows more about her.

"It is not like that. She's just being her usual self but she's a good person. She'll come around.", Jennie reassured that Irene is not a threat.

Lisa nodded to that. She'll just make sure not to cross paths with this Irene again or else, she can't promise not to stand up for herself if the vice president decided to show her a bitchy attitude again. Heck, she told herself to not get involved with these student council people but here she is, having a peaceful walk with the president. What has gotten into her?

It went silent because Lisa didn't say a word anymore and Jennie really didn't want the conversation to end this soon yet. She has to come up with something.

"When I said I didn't know you're into soccer, you said 'not anymore'. What do you mean?"

"I used to play back in high school. Not anymore."

"But you went for the tryouts?"

"Jisoo and Chaeyoungie forced me to. Might as well just do it for fun."

"And how was it?"

"It's not for me. Players here are a bunch of jerks. That Kai is the worst."

Jennie thought.

"He keeps looking at you. It must suck to have a boyfriend like that.", Lisa sickered.

๐™Š๐™. ๐™Ž๐™๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™๐™ค๐™ช๐™œ๐™๐™ฉ ๐™ฌ๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™š๐™ง๐™š ๐™™๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ, Jennie chuckled at the thought of them dating. "Lisa-shi thought we are dating? We are not." She suddenly remembered her deal with his grandfather and the smile on her face quickly faded.

"Wae?", the blonde noticed the sudden discomfort on the president's always cheerful face but Jennie quickly put her smiling mask on. "Nothing. I just can't imagine myself with him."

"I can't imagine you dating him too.", Lisa said honestly. Why would a well-respected person like her date a twit from the soccer team? It doesn't make sense. And why is she still here talking about dating issues with someone she barely knows? It doesn't make sense either.

But Jennie finds it amusing that Lisa can't imagine her with Kai. It's strange, but her cheeks felt hot all of a sudden.

Lisa's phone rang again. She stopped walking and Jennie did the same. She dug in her pocket for her phone. "Would you mind?", she asked the president for formality but would still take the call anyway even if Jennie answered no.

"I don't mind at all.", Jennie replied. She really didn't profile Lisa as a sociable person but this girl is getting more phone calls than she is. And it will always be in bad timing. She's starting to hate it.

Lisa on the other hand, felt relieved. She really needed an escape now and this phone call is a perfect way out. Seulgi's name flashed on the screen. She took a few steps away from the president because Seulgi's calls are in no way school-related. "What?"

"Jisoo's techy guys came and repositioned the cameras. They added new ones too.", Seulgi said on the other line.

"Great. Be there in a bit.", she looked at Jennie whose deep blue eyes are watching her and is patiently waiting for her to finish the call. She ended the call and walked back towards Jennie.

"I need to go. Uh, my sister's waiting for me.", she bit her lower lip, an involuntary habit she usually does when she's lying. It's not that she wanted to but she cannot think of anything to get out of this in a nice way. Not that she wanted to be nice but Jisoo reminded her not to get on their bad side.

Jennie knew that this little chit chat would be over but not this soon. She cannot do anything about it anyway. Yes, she wants to befriend the blonde but she doesn't want it to look like she is forcing the friendship. Lisa might be a hard one but she knew that they would get there eventually. The process might be slow but at least she got the blonde talking already.

The president nodded at Lisa, letting the blonde know that it's fine. "I guess I'll see you around then."

Lisa unknowingly let out a smirk smile and started walking away.

The president was taken aback by the blonde's expression. It was quick and short and she doesn't know why she finds it so warm but there are two things Jennie Kim is sure of. It is beautiful and she wants to see it again.
