when every remaining disciple had arrived at the entrance , it was very late at night. the howls of beasts were more frantic which made the forest dangerous but ken arrived as the last disciple . this made elders surprised because they had thought that ken must be injured somewhere but his body was so good in condition that it was like he never entered the forest in the first place .
one had to know that every disciple except him had suffered injuries and many of them were life threatening too . the sect had chosen the forest as the competition venue but didnt say that the mountain range which was the most dangerous and huge part was prohibited area . so ken had no worry and spent most of his time exploring the mountains which were too tall and the range covered the whole island on the edges except the small beach area near the ocean .
the gate was open so ken just gave his black jade back to elder samantha and went inside the city ignoring the looks of contempt from other disciples and even most of the elders. the disciples just wanted to console themselves and feel superior so they all made ken the target for contempt who only had one black jade at the end of the competition. even the worst one among them had 45 black jades after all .
well ken couldn't care less about them because he simply didnt feel the need to gather black jades at all . there were no rules that said that a disciple must have a specified number of jadea in the end . so Ken didnt even bother with the black jades when he killed the 6 scum young men and burned everything including the jades with his essence fire . he was not interested in the rewards even one bit so of course ken won't give a damn about the competition. ken only had a slight interest in the prize for first place which included a storage ring but he absolutely would not try to reach first place as he would have to display little of his talent . to others only that little talent was a huge thing so ken didnt want to gain unnecessary attention at all .
Ken's mind was filled with other thoughts right now as he rested inside the same rented house . his contract was till the start of outer sect competition which was exactly ten months after he joined the sect . now rich ken had asked suman and she introduced him to a disciple who worked in real estate profession of course in the sect only .
ken didnt even bother negotiating and bought the house for just 50 sect points . for ken who had thousands of sect points , it wasn't much.
now this small isolated house belonged to him so ken inscribed many formations everywhere in the house himself . with his superior knowledge, it could be said that his house was the safest place in the sect or even this cultivation realm now . honestly ken just got carried away as he was enjoying inventing new formations so he inscribed too many which all could be considered tier 5 .

the huge floor was crowded with disciples and the room felt a little too lively to ken . he had finally gotten used to the bustling alchemy guild but this place even surpassed it . ken didnt even like cities that much because of the crowd so he felt uncomfortable with so many people as they were too loud . only the nature was comfortable to ken because he usually spent most of the year out with teams or alone.
there were many huge boards with the descriptions of missions on them . ken didnt care about checking the rank or reward of the mission and took the first one he saw casually . the boards had missions according to difficulty, urgency etc but it didn't matter to ken because all the missions here were for outer disciples. now ken just wanted to finally leave the sect for an adventure and the location didnt matter to him at all ...
