ken was fine now so his attention returned to the silver locket. of course ken knew how to easily release the prison now because he had already studied the artifact completely .
ken hated the sect elder of divine alchemy sect honestly . well the pain he had to bear due to his sloppy formation commands was too much so ken had all the right to hate him and the golden book . but at the same time he felt grateful for the knowledge and trusted it completely . his small doubts about it had long been removed as he had benefited too much already . so even though it was the first time he had studied something from upper realm , he had no fear to unlock the prison and release the prisoner because he trusted his capabilities and knowledge.
ken this time fully released his mental power and started erasing the runes he needed to break the lock . ken knew that the sealed being inside was using its energy and mind to break the constraints forcefully continuously. well most of the formations that were supporting ones were already broken and even some major ones were only fine because the stability was too strong for them to break with force of the prisoner.
this also meant that ken had to break the runes but the prisoner had to use it's own power to break out from the cage seal . ken was too weak right now and can only slowly break the runes to help the prisoner because even though his energy was weak but his knowledge and focus were great . formations had various security measures inscribed in them to maintain themselves for long time and prevent breaking .
so ken had to carefully choose the runes to erase because he could trigger the mechanisms and the artifact would destroy itself causing the prisoner to be lost . he may only suffer injuries which ken could heal with time but it's also possible that the self destruction of powerful formations and small dimension would cause a dimension rift which could crush the prisoner or transfer him somewhere else . so ken definitely couldn't gamble now and his only option was to break the runes slowly and slowly .
the good thing was that he had his consciousness dividing technique so his mental power had no problem of compete depletion and the fact that ken had already completely analysed the artifact and with his knowledge he can easily find the right runes to destroy . with Ken's stamina and no worry of mental power depletion, he could spend months to slowly do the job .
but fortunately he had analysed the artifact once otherwise the billions of runes would have wasted even years to find the right ones because ken simply doesn't have enough energy . ken could break all of the formations in a few hours at most with his knowledge if he had the power of high level from the upper realm .
the extremely precise and slow process was completed after 9 more days and finally ken tossed the locket in the air . by using constant focus even though his mental power was still fine due to the dividing technique but his eyes were blurry and figure was totally haggard. of course because the strain to his soul and brain was immense and the fact that he hadn't eaten anything in almost a month now .
his appetite was too enormous now because of the tempering by his art that if he didnt bother refraining ,he could easily eat more than 200 servings of food and it would be completely digested in minutes . now he only visited the cafeteria once a day after becoming an alchemist at the guild because he ate some fasting pills to compensate for the food . when he reached the heaven realm that he would not have worry to eat food to live because he could survive anywhere if there was spiritual energy in the atmosphere.
the locket was suspending in the air by itself and ken looked at with anticipation because he had worked too hard this time . finally cracks started appearing on the locket and after a few seconds it burst into smithereens. a small black hole appeared in its place which was even smaller than a small coin . white pure energy started gushing out from it and soon filled the room . the energy disappeared like gas after the hole disappeared and a slightly more than 2 meters tall big boobed and slightly pointy ears beauty appeared.
ken smiled at her lightly and saw her lips move for a few times before his tension finally broke and he fell asleep on the ground with a thud . actually the elf beauty was saying " Olivia, ytre " but ken was too drowsy to hear the warm and beautiful voice. olivia was her name and ytre means thank you in elf language...
