Karis was in a bad mood. The useless hero had escaped. How? She couldn't have beaten a single guard, much less 5. 5 of the most elite guards in the guard force. Much weaker than the Royal Guard, but strong nonetheless.
Not to mention how unnatural those deaths had been. Three had completely disappeared, and clean holes of flesh had been bored out of the remaining two. Someone had helped her escape.
There had never been any reports of a resistance fighter capable of that. Even the capital's finest scholars couldn't figure out what caused those wounds.
Karis snapped his fingers. A butler appeared.
"Yes, your majesty."
"Call them."
"By them, you mean…?"
