"Beep Beep Beep..."
Rhea woke up with a start at the sound of the alarm clock by the side of her bed. She tossed around and groaned not wanting to get up from bed yet.
She seems to have remembered something and touched the other side of the bed which was cold and empty.
Her eyes snapped up and she sat up immediately. She looked at the now empty space of the bed which was previously occupied by Eris.
"Huh? Where is he...?" She thought.
She tossed her duvet cover aside, slipped her feet into her flip-flops and walked out of the room. She checked around the house but realised he was not there. Just when she was about to return to the room, from the corner of her eyes, she saw a short handwriting note at the edge of the table.
She picked the note and read through.
"My love, work calls. I will return later in the day. Have breakfast and remember to smile. Love you dearest"
