He's gonna kill me, I'm definitely dying today, at such a young and sprouting age I'll have to say goodbye to mama earth....mama universe actually. Please forgive me for all the sins I've ever committed God, Amen. I closed my eyes, ready for him to shoot me with his eye lasers or something. I'm coming God, may my soul rest in peace. Seconds turned into minutes but nothing happened, why isn't he doing anything? I frowned, ok, I'll just look once in the eyes of my death. I peeked with my left eye to see Prince Addington looking at me as if I was the funniest creature alive while Prince Amadeus held no expression whatsoever.
"I envy you brother" Prince Addington said, his eyes on me as he was grinning. Prince Amadeus didn't reply, instead kept staring at me. I opened both of my eyes and sat there confused as ever.
"You will never be mine, hm?" Prince Amadeus asked with a smirk, I gulped, oh no no, he's up to no good, I don't know how but I could smell his wickedness even from a mile away, he was that cunning.
"Cunning? Seriously?" Prince Addington asked as he laughed. I scowled at him, how is this even funny?
"She look like a smol bunny" He said once again and this time Prince Amadeus chuckled while he laughed. They were legit getting on my nerves, my blood was boiling in my veins, stupid souls, stupid Prince's.
"Well damn, she atleast doesn't cuss" Prince Addington said quickly as if trying to help me get away from Prince Amadeus' wrath.
"I have a surprise for you...snowflake" Prince Amadeus said
Surprise? My heart fell in my stomach, I could sense that it wasn't going to be a good one, definitely not a good one.
"That depends on how you see it, come along" He said and turned around towards the huge doors of the room. I narrowed my eyes at his back.
"Milady" Prince Addington said as he kneeled down and asked for my hand, his eyes sparkling green, it was as if I was looking at a huge forest from Arizona or somewhere, I don't know where huge forests are okay?! In short, his eyes were marvelous, I had never seen such a shade of green.
"Thank you for such a long compliment...."
"Cora"
"Cordelia"
I and Prince Amadeus said at a time. I looked at him, he glared at me trying to shred me into pieces with his icy blue stare, I gulped visibly.
"Her name is Cordelia" He repeated as his stare never left my face.
"Is that right?" Prince Addington asked making me look at his warm eyes. A sly smile made its way on my lips as I nodded, it wasn't a lie, my name is Cordelia.
"Beautiful name...Cordelia" he said my name out loud as if testing it.
"Shall we? Cordelia?" He asked politely as he asked for my hand, I looked at his hand, he's Prince Amadeus' brother, but is nothing like him, should I...? My hand moved on its own and placed itself in his huge palm.
He smiled which made me smile in return.
"Gorgeous" he said making my cheeks heat up.
"Addington" Prince Amadeus' voice brought us out of our little bubble.
"Sure sure" he said as he stood up and I followed.
He kept holding my hand and I couldn't help but blush, I mean, no one except Andrew had held my hand, Addington is like really handsome and I'm....lucky would not even be close to what I feel.
I heard Addington chuckle from beside me and Prince Amadeus took a sharp breath in.
Now I was blushing like an idiot, not because I was shy, oh no, I was really embarrassed. I should really stop thinking.
"No no , please keep on commenting, I really like what you're thinking" Prince Addington said
"That's because she's praising you, isn't it bastard?" Prince Amadeus asked
"Haha, you got me brother"
We were walking through a huge hallway, it was made of pure white marble, the high pillars were standing out and the golden borders along the frames were really eye catching. This was a palace after all, what was I expecting? Everything was screaming money and royalty.
We turned to the left followed by descending the huge staircase. There was court at the centre with a huge throne, it was shining as most of the jewels were studded on it, it wasn't exactly flashy, it was what an eye would love watching, it was the King's throne.
We passed the court and then once again descended a dark staircase. A shiver ran up my spine, why does this surprise have to be here?
"Here we are" Prince Amadeus announced a little too proudly as he opened a huge metal door.....is this the basement?
"Good guess gorgeous, this is the first floor of the underground basement"
I think I choked on my own saliva, first floor of an underground basement?
"Go in" Prince Amadeus said
My hold on Prince Addington's hand increased as an instinct, both of them looked at our hands.
"I'll give you 5 seconds Addington...to get your hands off her" Prince Amadeus said and he removed his hand from mine in an instant. For some reason, I was hurt, but then again, what was I expecting?
I looked at Prince Amadeus who had a look of satisfaction plastered on his face, I bit my bottom lip, I'm alone here, definitely alone, I shouldn't expect anything from anyone, especially from these royal people.
I saw a slight frown on Prince Amadeus' face, but I didn't think much about it as I looked away.
He took a step back, motioning me to go in, I gulped, I didn't have a choice, I had to go in, what would there be? I took a deep breath as I walked in, my eyes widened at the sight of Avery sitting on a chair in the middle of this dimly lit room.
Her grey eyes connected with mine and a smile broke on her lips as she stood up.
"Cora!" She exclaimed as my feet moved me towards her, tears were streaming down my face as I hugged her. We heard the door closing, I was scared, really scared, no matter what I always had Avery by my side to help me, to protect me, even though it's only been half a day, I felt really unsafe and bothered, as if someone had blown up my guard and I had no one but myself.
She broke the hug and took my face in her hands making me look up at her stunning face
'We are going to escape' she mouthed, I quickly looked around to find no one but us.
I looked back at her, she placed her index finger on her lips to silence me, I nodded, she winked with a smirk. I wiped my tears while smiling,
"How are you, Cora?" she asked as she gave me her 'older and worried sister' look.
"I'm better now" I said genuinely to which she smiled
