Chapter 42 - 42: The Hidden ties

Here's the corrected version with Druva as the visitor and Rudra in the proper context:

In the Kingdom of Hamsa, Rudra sat on the grand throne. Suddenly, an eagle flew into the hall and stopped before him, dropping a letter. Without hesitation, the eagle soared back into the skies.

Rudra picked up the letter and opened it. A talisman fell out, and moments later, a holographic image materialized before him.

The image spoke:

"Rudra, oh Rudra, do not delve too deeply into the royalty of Hamsa. Your task is merely to oversee the kingdom, not to immerse yourself in its history. Remember, your purpose is to eradicate the royal bloodline. If things spiral out of control, I won't be able to save you. I trust you understand."

The image faded, leaving Rudra alone with his thoughts.

He turned to his assistant. "Stop everything. Prepare a report on all we've accomplished and send it back to His Majesty."

"But we don't have recording talismans," the assistant replied hesitantly.

Rudra tossed a small pack of talismans onto the table. "Use them sparingly. I had to travel a great distance to get these."

As Rudra paced the hall, a troubled expression clouded his face. "What exactly is happening here? Since I took charge, no kingdom has dared to declare war. Everything appears peaceful... but my heart feels uneasy.

"Strength is the only thing that can protect me. Without it, I'll remain a puppet for others to control. If they hadn't taught me everything, I'd have blasted their heads off by now. What are you hiding, King?"

Suddenly, Rudra stopped and said sharply, "No one's here. You can come out."

From the shadows, a figure emerged. "Ah, you found me, Rudra."

Rudra smirked. "Did you forget? I trained alongside you at the camp. What do you want?"

The shadowy figure spoke in a low voice. "The King sent me. He asked us to prepare for an emergency. Also, tighten the borders. More martial artists have been entering the kingdom lately. Something's happening."

Rudra frowned. "What exactly is the King planning?"

"I don't know," the figure admitted.

Rudra sighed. "Whatever it is, we'll deal with it when the time comes."

Somewhere far away…

"Ah, Master Druva, long time no see," greeted a man in a dimly lit chamber.

Druva gave a curt nod. "I'm here for the map."

The man pulled out a scroll and handed it to Druva. "You mean this?"

"Yes, that's the one," Druva confirmed, taking the scroll.

"I owe you a favor, so take it," the man said, leaning back. "But don't forget, when I call for your aid, you'll have to repay me."

Druva smirked. "What are you planning to do?"

The man chuckled. "I heard about a poison wielder in the Azure Heaven region. They call him Silent Poison. He's a Path Initiator, and he recently defeated the Balance Seeker martial artist."

"Is he one of your apprentices?" .

The Druva waved his hand dismissively. "No, just an errand boy. I saved him when he had nothing to give and I took him under my wing for 3 years to repay his life saving grace. Nothing in this world is free."

"True enough," the man said. "By the way, what do you know about the Dumir Kingdom? You're closer to that region, aren't you?"

The Druva shrugged. "I don't meddle in kingdom affairs. But there's some interesting news—someone is about to become a saint."

The man eyes narrowed. "That's not unusual."

The Druva leaned forward with a sly grin. "What if I told you this saint is the youngest the world has ever seen?"

The man raised an eyebrow. "Where is he?"

"Not he, but she," Druva corrected.

"A girl?" man's interest deepened. "Where is she? I'll take her as my apprentice."

The Druva shook his head. "You're too late. She's already been taken."

man frowned. "By whom?"

"You know whom i am talking about ," the Druva replied with a hand sign.

man let out a low whistle. "How did he find her?"

"No one knows the full story, but he found her and take her as his apprentice. Now, she's being hunted. If she survives, those behind the assassination attempts are in for a brutal reckoning."

"Assassination attempts by a saint? That's against the rules," Druva said.

The man chuckled darkly. "Rules are meant to be broken. But once they're exposed, you know how brutal he can be. Remember, he destroyed an entire sect over a random child he met by chance. Imagine what he'll do to protect her."

the man smirked. "This is going to be interesting."

The Druva stood up. "I have to leave now. Let's hope this trip is bountiful."
