"Ammi, can I go to my house today?" Zehra asked the next day at the breakfast table on which her mother-in-law gave her a narrowed eyes at her question.
Zehra gulped at her saliva not knowing what happened that Ammi was looking at her like this? Did she have done anything wrong? She thought.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you should talk about it with Zaroon and not me! Just inform me whenever you want to go, don't ask me." Aabiya explained to her daughter-in-law with a smile.
"Okay, Ammi I was thinking to visit my house today." Zehra rephrased her sentence and Aabiya nodded on it.
After breakfast when Zehra came to their bedroom, Zaroon was behind her. Zehra was wrapping her hijab (headscarf) around her hair when Zaroon wore his blazer.
"When will you be back?" He asked trying to put a neutral expression on his face.
