Chapter 3 - THREE

Ashura Club.

One of the famous club in the city. While Jessica tries to avoid crowded and noisy places, Ashura lives to its expectation to be one of the elite establishments.

Ashura is located in the central city, together with the high rising buildings and modernized style infrastructure. It's a large building with two floors, one for partying and the other is for VIPs. And selected people are allowed to enter the said building, which a surprise for Jessica since she's not a regular customer of any club since she had spent her time with working and trying to find my wayward sister.

But for this night, she will let herself loose and have fun without the scheming people around her.

Wearing a purple tight-fitting dress and black flats, she put her hair down and wore light make-up. Dressing up for a simple meet up with her friends, it took an hour for her to prepare. After all, meeting them to a lavish club isn't at the top of her list to reunite with them.

Hailing a cab, the ride is half an hour away from her apartment, but she left an hour before the meet up in case of heavy traffic occurring at the main roads after all a party from one of the biggest company is well-known and all people will see it.

Her prediction was correct, the party was the cause of heavy traffic in the city, and she got to the club a minute left from the designated time. Luckily, the one who called her this afternoon was the one waiting for her at the entrance, wearing a white dress shirt and trousers, like he just came out straight from work.

"Jess, you're always on time!" Josh grinned widely at the sight of her. "And you look gorgeous tonight. Has the work taught you to become a proper woman?"

Jess slit her eyes in annoyance. "Pranking me at the entrance will cause pain on your sides. Where are the others?"

"Well, Ralfh and Amando are already here, since they are regulars here. As for the others, they are on their way. And I told you over the phone that we have another member in the group, you will see them later when all of us are complete."

"Whatever." Jessica rolls her eyes, trying to annoy her friend. "But why here? You of all people who knows me well has a knowledge that I avoid noisy places as much as possible."

"Well, one of the new guys suggested to set up the meeting here," Josh answered. "Of course, I vetoed since we know you hate noisy places, but he assured us that he will reserve one of the private rooms so no one will disturb us."

Both of them went in, and she wonders why she wasn't stopped when Jacob never said anything to the bouncers. They head to the second floor, where the private rooms are. She took research before she headed to an unknown territory, and her research didn't even disappoint her.

As soon as Josh opened the door to their room, a comfy sight welcomed her. Couches aligned to form a U-shape, a small table for their foods, and a well-lit room with speakers and TV. It's like she stepped to someone's house than stepping to a club that she imagines.

Two guys were already sitting comfortably at the couches, already chilling out. One was wearing a purple polo and jeans while the other was still in his suit. As soon as they heard the door opened, their eyes shined upon seeing Jessica who's wearing a dress.

"What do we have here, hm? A young woman in a dress. Joshua, you're not hitting on minors, aren't ya?" A playful smile came to the guy wearing a purple polo while swirling a glass of liquor.

Josh was dumbfounded at the joke. Sure, he likes to joke, but he doesn't know whether he should ride or not until Jessica talked. "Oh gosh, Amando. Do you still think I'm a minor? How dare you?"

Jessica took the joke, with a hurt expression, like she's really offended, but her eyes are sparkling with mischievousness.

"But our dear Jessica will never ever wear a dress, or wear a formal one. Are you a clone? Her long lost twin?" Amando said.

"I'm going to take that as a compliment." Jessica as she entered the room. "I heard you guys are regulars here, care to tell me?"

She's not scolding them despite their regular habits of coming at the bar, just only wondering why. But when it comes to their ears, it sounds like a mother trying to get the truth from her child and will punish if they lied.

"Well, we come here to chill, and you know," Amando said awkwardly. They know that Jessica will still know it whether they hid it or not. "But I hear that your company has an annual party, why you didn't come?"

Ralfh gazed at Amando like he's telling him that he asked a stupid question. Joshua sighed at Amando being an idiot.

"Oops, I forgot." Amando grinned. "But I heard that the big boss of Fureno will come to the party, that's why all employees will attend."

"And you expect our dear princess here to attend to eye candy a boss?" Ralfh asked. He's the only one who thinks the same with Jessica, even when they are not talking to one another. "You know that when it comes to that matters, she never likes to waste her time."

"...Fair enough," Amando said. "But still!"

"Amando, stop being a persistent idiot, can you?" A voice from the door spoke. "Jessica is not your typical flirt girls even when she was always surrounded by us back in the day. She doesn't even spare a time to look at another person's face, whether its a girl or boy unless it's on the same circle as hers."

The newcomer was wearing a blue top scrub suit and jeans. A backpack slung at his left shoulder, obviously that he also head out straight from his duty. Jessica grinned. "Caleb."

Caleb grinned back and hugged her. "Our only princess is here~~ And you are wearing a dress."

"Well, Josh said there are two new people on our group. I can't be rude at them, no?"

"Oh no, it's fine. Actually, those two guys are actually surprising. Bryan saw them in a convention, and you know that guy, once he got interested to someone, he won't let go at them until they agreed. The other was easily convinced, while the other one was interested when Bryan told about you." Caleb smiled. "So, be rude as much as you can, because that would be their initiation."
