Chapter 66 - Assaulted

"Take care now!" The general pointed with his eyes to one of his guards next to him. Juan left with one of the guards.

General caught a glimpse on Juan's broad chest. There was a red eye like alive. He remembered the thing he was looking for a while. This was what he was looking for. Seeing that Juan's eyes and emotions were so stable that he probably was lying about his brother.

General unconsciously touched his ring on his little finger and thought 'If you lose your brother, you would at least tremble or show a bit sadness in your behaviours. Since he was not showing on any of these emotions, probably there was another body, may be another one of his kind.'

That is why General was so excited. 'If there is more than one medallion, I can give it to my youngest son.' His eyes glimmered about thinking what he was going to catch. Colonel Aldi had taciturn personality. He always did his job cleanly, cleverly and without questioning. However Aldi realized General's touch on his little finger and smirked.

The General swallowed hard and turned to his right arm beside him, and he was too excited to speak. "Aldi! I give you the most important task of your life. Follow Juan with ten of your best and strongest archers without him noticing. He went looking for his brother. If he tries to smash a corpse, kill him with arrows and bring me the corpse he wants to smash. You absolutely cannot make a mistake. This child probably has an energy object that can have him be teleported. So, he must be killed by archers from far away even before he realizes it. In close combat, if he feels in danger, we'll likely miss him in front of our eyes. Go ahead and show yourself. If you can do this, I will give you a great reward."

Colonel Aldi gathered his best men with him, encircled Juan in all four directions, settled in positions where they could make their best shots, and they were watching Juan from the distant position. If he tried to dismember a corpse, they would kill Juan on the spot. Juan took with him about twenty more men, accompanied by a guard of General, and ran down to the battlefield. Juan looked at several corpses and turned to the guard "My brother has a tattoo like mine. Can you find it?"

The guard gestured to the soldiers next to him, the medallion-figured tattoo on Juan's chest, so the soldiers quickly joined the search. Six minutes before the second skirmish, one of the soldiers finally found the body. Aldi gave the sign. All archers were ready. Juan immediately stopped paying attention to his surroundings as he wanted to seize the medallion. Still, the soldiers waited for the last moment and the right moment.

Juan ran towards the corpse. The moment he leaned towards the corpse, arrows rained on him. The arrows were extremely fast. It was most likely thrown by people with gathering energy seventh level or above. The moment he heard the whistle of arrows, he wanted to take his armour out of the ring with spiritual energy and put it on.

As soon as Juan put on the armour, an arrow from three different directions hit his body at that instant. He realized that he was dying with the arrow stuck in him and immediately directed his spiritual energy to the medallion and left the mission.

Two more of the other 7 arrows entered his body when Juan sent his thought to the medallion and ordered to return to the system room. When Juan appeared in the system room, he could not breathe and seemed to die. The system emergency support unit has been activated.

'System Warning: The agent's organs have begun to fail. An irreparable damage has been detected in the agent's liver. One of his lungs has become unusable.

'System Warning: The agent has lost a lot of blood and does not have enough spiritual energy and will to stop the blood flow.

'System Warning: Due to agent low level, operation must be performed mandatory.

'System Warning: Drug injection is given to the agent.

'System Alert: Treatment is complete. All wounds were healed.

'System Information: Agent survived life threatening. Unconscious. The treatment cost is eleven thousands Taelda Golds. Payment was made automatically. Agent is necessarily awakened. 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1.

"Gaahhhhhh!" Juan awoke in pain. He was lying on the stretcher in the system room.

'Agent Juan, you have been in danger of life. The operation took 3 minutes and 21 seconds to complete. Your vital functions are in place. You were treated for eleven thousands Taelda golds. Two new artificial organs were added to agent's body. These organs are insufficient for the energy cycle. Also, they cannot be enhanced through training and special potions.'

'Agent Juan, you have been awakened so that the energy cycle is not damaged. The acupuncture points to which the two organs were attached were buffered by the short-term solution. You will be able to temporarily participate in the forums and auction. You only have the right to purchase from two damaged organs.'

'Agent Juan, currently there are seventy one thousand two hundred and six transferable organs taken from individuals using weapon-force energy at gathering energy levels. There are four thousand nine hundred and two organs taken from individuals at the soul formation levels. There are eighty three soul core levels and two dao descriptors level lung and liver.'

'System Warning: It is highly recommended that Liver and Lung transfer can be transferred from the same body. It is also recommended that energy levels are at the same level as you.

'System Warning: You do not have any potions, pills or unprocessed herbs that can provide vital energy. The transfer of the organs of high-level individuals can cause your body to explode.

His ears were ringing as Juan listened. His eyes were darkening. He even had trouble opening his mouth. Feeling that he could finally speak after a little bit of fuss "Transfer from someone at my level. Perform the fastest transfer possible. System, solve the pricing yourself."

As Juan laid down in his current position for a few hours and decided what to do, he began to think about his experience on the mission. He decided that his life was more important than running on missions to missions anymore. Juan understood that, a little later, he should not trust anyone. This world was brutal and deadly. He had to pay attention to every step he took.

With Juan's disappearance, the soldiers in the area stared with their mouths wide open. Colonel Aldi, very depressed, walked over the body of the other agent. Looking at the people next to him, he yelled with deep voice "You missed the man! Now what am I going to say to the General!"

As Aldi leaned unhappily over the body, he saw the tattoo on the body's chest. The eyeballs of the tattoo seemed alive. He put his hand on the tattoo and felt the medallion under the skin. If the body were alive, it could not be felt.

Aldi removed the dagger from his waist and after ripping through the body's chest, he threw his hand at the medallion inside. Black smoke was coming out of the medallion. Realizing that this was high-grade energy item, he dropped blood on the medallion, not caring too much that the General was in the gathering energy ultimate level.

The medallion disappeared after he drew his blood and appeared on his chest. When he sent his thought to the medallion, he disappeared from where he was. The soldiers waited for a while, but Aldi did not come back.

In the end, they did not know what to do and they took the body on the ground and brought it to the general. One of the sergeants bowed in front of the General and reported "General, the man we were going to kill teleported and fled. Colonel Aldi, who found the body that the escaped man was looking for, confiscated the energy coin from the corpse and, like the escaped man, he disappeared where he was. We waited for a while for the Colonel, but when he did not return, we thought we should inform you."

The general felt like he was devastated. He regretted not going after. He had lost a great chance. He had given to a fool what he could win with his own hand.

"Mom, you were right. The fortune teller who narrated you this story told the truth. There were indeed immortal travellers wandering the spaces with their medallion. No! Damn it! How could I be so comfortable!"

General's eyes were tearing with the frustration and his teeth were gritting as he spoke with anger. He had lost his chance to have a mysterious life. Instead of him, Colonel Aldi was now an agent.
