Chapter 2 - Boden

In Volgograd, Russia, Boden, 23-year-old male, unemployed, spent no money in the past 7 months. He protected his luck.

12 January 2020, 9:45 pm

Volgograd was in full swing in the winter season. Outside, the blizzard had just begun. Snow piled up on the sides of the street. Alex's bar was open as always. Aleks always had pity for his military friend Vasily's son Boden. Boden was a very unlucky young man. The unfortunate events that happened to him made him unable to hold on to anything. Even though Boden had no money, Alex's Bar was always open to him. As Alex saw Boden unhappy again this evening, he had guessed he was fired and just filled up his vodka and left him alone.

Boden was the most hard-working unemployed in the city. He was fired less than a month after every job he entered. He did not have any adaptation problems. For some reason, the bad luck never stopped. Somehow an unexpected event happens in every job he entered, and at the end of that event, Boden was forced to quit.

After drinking his free drink from Aleks's bar, Boden got up from his bar stool. He knew all of the clients. But today he had no one to tell he was fired. After getting to know Boden, the regulars of the bar never asked him about his work.

Boden walked towards the train station after leaving the bar with unsteady steps. When the melting snow under the light of the street lamps kept ice around the lamp, the light refracted and hit his face, his eyes were dazzled and he closed his eyes drunk and cursed.

He opened his sensitive eyes after a few steps, took his place at the station and waited for the train to arrive. When he waited for a while, he shivered and hugged his coat well.

Across the street, an old woman was slowly trying to come to the station. After a while, rattles were heard indicating that the train was about to reach the station. After Boden looked towards the old woman, she realized that she would not arrive at this pace. He moved quickly towards the woman. The old woman was glad that Boden was able to catch her and reach the station on time. Then they got on the train.

The old woman said "We are in an era where the young don't care much about us the old. Young people like you are a matter of civil pride. Thank you so much." Boden nodded softly and said "It doesn't matter, but it does not make sense for you to set off at this hour and this weather. I think you should be careful. You are not young anymore."

The old woman looked at Boden with interest and answered with a laugh. "Hooo, actually I always catch the train whenever I get out. Luck is on my side. Kukuku" Boden looked up into the eyes of the old woman "An unfortunate event happened to me today. The owner of my new business took his nephew to my position and fired me. His nephew was never going to work, but his nephew's father was bankrupt. Therefore, he had to. I am completely a symbol of bad luck. "

The old woman said with a smile, "Don't be sad you're so young. You will find what you are looking for, you should not despair." Boden said a little loudly, under the influence of alcohol. "I was fired for reasons unrelated to me in my previous 42 jobs." Then he pointed his finger up and lamented "Someone deliberately doesn't want me to work. I am the most hard-working unemployed in this world anyway."

The old woman lamented to herself 'oh kids these days always want easy. Nothing happens without struggling'

Boden sat in one of the back seats of the train, leaving the old woman in the front seat she was riding. Because of the darkness, it was out of sight. He began to look at the ground with his head between his two hands. Tears were coming from his eyes. After a while, he came to the landing station. When he got up, the old woman must have got off at one of the previous stops so she was not on the train. As he moved towards the exit door, he saw that something was in the woman's seat. Arriving at the seat, he noticed a necklace on the seat.

It was a silver necklace adorned with amber stone. He picked up the necklace and got off the train at the next stop. He thought of returning the necklace to the lost office. After a while, he did not think that the woman, who he thought was more than eighty years old, would want to search for this necklace. At least she couldn't find it at this station. At which stop did she land? After a while he put the necklace in his pocket and made his way home.

He lived with his mother and two younger sisters in the house left by his father. Boden noticed that it was too late and went into his room without much noise. After a while lying on the bed, he pulled the necklace from his pocket and examined it. Then he fell asleep.

When he was woken up in the morning by his mother, he said he didn't need to go to work. His mother said he was useless and incompatible, a liar. She told him to get out of the house and get a job. Boden got up by force, washed his face and brushed his teeth.

He returned to the bedroom and changed his shirt. Then he saw the necklace on his bed again. After picking up the necklace and tying it around his neck, he put some jam on the toasted bread his mother had made, drank some juice, and quickly put on his shoes and left the house. On the way to the train station, he saw his primary school friend Andre. He approached Andre and started talking.

Boden: "Man, Tergenev's son came yesterday, he will start work in my place. Can you imagine Tergenev bankrupt?"

Andre: "Tergenev has always been greedy. I predicted that one day he would go bankrupt. Apparently, you're out of work again, Black duck? "

Boden made a fist and nudged Andre's shoulder "Damn. I'm very unlucky. Andre, you know what the old woman said? I was incompatible and useless. This morning I started a damned day."

Andre kept quiet a little while walking, then wrapped his arm around Boden's neck "Shall I tell you a secret? Sometimes I feel like I'm going to be the happiest person in the world if I don't care about anything, you're involved in. If I say my friend, I'll tell the boss and hire you, I swear something will happen to someone and you quit. So, it is time to find a solution to this problem. We have to find a witch. Hmm. Or a seer?"

Boden first frowned, and then suddenly thought of the old woman last night. 'Witch or Seer. The woman didn't even have a bag. Could she have left the necklace for me? What if she's an Oracle and got on the train for me?'

Boden got on the train after leaving Andre, and when he took the seat, his mind was constantly on the necklaces and things about the old woman. When he got to the city center, he found 1000 rubles on the ground while passing the stops after getting off the train. (1000 Rubles = 13-14 USD). When no one could see it, he took the money and gave it to the station attendant. After a little walking he found another 1000 rubles on the road. He rubbed his eyes in surprise and looked again. 'I do not believe. Why do I always find money on the ground?' Then he spent the day looking for a job after taking the money off the ground. After stopping by Alex's bar, he left his usual time and returned home.

When he was woken up by his mother again in the morning, he gave the remaining money of 1000 rubles to his siblings as pocket money, then he had his breakfast and set off. Before he reached the train station, he found another 1000 rubles on the way. After taking the money and putting it in his pocket, when he saw that there was no one around him, he muttered, looking up at the sky. "I think you're pulling pranks with me"

In this way, after getting 1000 rubles on the road every day for a week until reaching the train station, Boden decided to get used to living with it and made a plan. 'This morning I will go out after breakfast and get 1000 rubles and go back home. I'll drop the money home and hit the road again. Let's see if I can find it again!'

Before Boden closed the door of the house, with the effect of the wind, 1000 rubles flew over him and clung to the pants. He took the money and went back to the house. Without notice to his mother, he went to his room and put the money in his drawer. Then he went out again and started wandering. He couldn't find any other money during the day.

While spending time at Aleks's bar, Boden was thinking about what he could do. A 23-year-old engineer was working with a monthly salary of around 20,000 rubles. Boden was confused by the idea of collecting 30,000 rubles a month on the road.

The next day, after Boden walked out of the house, he wandered a little and could not find money. After wandering around the train station, he got on the train and stopped by the city center, but he couldn't find a ruble on the way. He came home after wandering the roads with his head down all day.

After coming home, when he heard that his mother was told about the bills, he went to his room, took 1000 rubles and gave it to his mother. Boden thought her life was back to normal. Lying on the bed, he studied the necklace. After a while he fell asleep.

Volgograd awoke in the morning with the winter sun. Boden set out to look for serious work after breakfast. This time he found 1000 rubles on the ground again, without leaving home too far. After taking the money, he wiped the top of the roadside bench and sat down.

'First of all, 1000 rubles was coming once a day. Then I couldn't find it when I didn't spend the money. But when I spent the money, I only found it once a day. Why once a day?' After thinking for a while, Boden banged his head with his hand and said "Ahh, stupid me. Of course. If I give the money to someone else, that means I can always find it? Is not it?"

Boden rushed home and came to his mother and said "Mom, I'll tell you something very important." His morale broke down when he saw that his mother was watching television uninterested. On the way to his room, he went to his 8-year-old sister Elya.

"Elya, I'm going to play a game with you. Are you in?" said. Elya looked at her brother, her eyes sparkling. The little girl excitedly nodded her head. Boden picked up Elya's little school bag and said, "Take this in your hand, and follow me." After Boden put Elya in her coat and boots, they quickly left the house.

Not far from home, Boden turned to Elya and stroked her head. "Elya, our game will now be like this. I will always collect counterfeit money from the ground for you. You will put it in your bag every time. We will go to toy store and buy the best toys. The money will be fake, but nobody will know, you will not tell anyone, okay? You will only give me the money when I ask. You will not give it to anyone else. It's just between the two of us, have we agreed? "

After looking up at her brother, Elya said, "If you do a bad thing, the police will catch it. My mother forbade us to misbehave outside. Can't we play another game?" she replied.

Boden smiled and continued his effort to convince Elya "No Elya, we will not do harm. It's a secret. Just both of us will know. You are my only friend in this game. Nobody will be upset. And we will be incredibly happy. Come on, promise your brother. You will not tell anyone that, and you will only give fake money to your brother." Elya obediently nodded her head and agreed.

Boden handed the 1000 rubles out of his pocket to Elya. Elya took the money and happily put it in her school bag. After a little walking Boden found 1000 rubles again and gave it to Elya. In this way, Boden became a wealthy unemployed.

1 August 2020, Monaco, Ritz Hotel, 7:50 am

Boden was watching TV while lying on hisr bed in the King suite. He bought an apartment for his mother and sisters in Paris. He came to Monaco on weekends to gamble and spend time in the most expensive hotels. In order not to lose his necklace, he never spent the night with anyone else and did not make body contact with anyone.

After watching some action movies, Boden started exercising in his room and told hotel staff to bring a sportsman breakfast to his room. After doing some exercise, he started eating his breakfast and started checking his investments on the internet.

After a while, the necklace on his chest hung in the air. Boden was frozen. His room window opened, and pitch-black smoke began to come out from the refrigerator, television, computer, and cell phone. Black exhaust fumes and poisonous gases come through the window. All these black gases poured into the necklace, only 15 cm away from his eyes. When he tried to pull his head back, the chain of the necklace broke and the skin on his neck was cut. The drops of blood climbed the chains and reached the stone of the necklace. Suddenly there was a pitch-black environment. Two blood-red eyes appeared and after taking a deep look at Boden, everything returned to normal.

Boden, with his mouth wide open, looked at the black necklace that had fallen. After a while he noticed that the fire alarm waters were pouring down his head. There was human voices and activity. A few footsteps were coming towards the door of the room, accompanied by shouts.

Boden panicked and rushed towards his necklace. The moment he touches the necklace, the necklace takes the form of a black coin-sized tattoo right at the junction of the rib cage. Red pupils in the tattoo looked almost alive.

Boden was moved to another room with the help of hotel staff who entered. After examining his tattoo in the bathroom in his new suite, he began to feel that a tremendous power exists in his body. He took a deep breath and decided to leave the mirror and go to the gym. When he took a step, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. When he wanted to stand up again, he couldn't keep his balance. It was like a toddler trying to walk. After a while he stopped struggling and stared back at the ceiling and started laughing.

Clenching his fist, crying out loud "Mai Tavarish! (My comrades!) It's time to get ahead of the money order. There will be revolution again, Tavarish Boden will show the world that! Haahahahaha!" said.

After a while he slowly stood up again. He felt very strong. It was as if the muscles that he could not develop while doing sports started to develop. After getting used to walking a little, he felt a terrible hunger. He didn't want to waste time waiting for dinner in his room, and after quickly landing at the hotel restaurant, he ordered the fastest food available to his table. He noticed that the women around him were flirting with him with their eyes and smiles. Because he was starving, he warned the waiters and told them to bring everything immediately.

Within a few minutes, food was serviced. But Boden seemed officially deaf with the sound of his heartbeat. His metabolism was running at an awful pace. It was as if his veins were dilating and his blood was flowing very fast. Panicked, Boden began to eat the incoming meals without caring about the people around him. After a few seconds, the three plates of food were cleanly finished.

Boden felt a little calmer. But he was still very hungry. After Boden had ordered new food, the people around couldn't hide their surprise when they saw that he was constantly eating the plates clean and started taking videos and selfies.

With the warning of the waiters and chiefs, the people around stopped disturbing Boden. Boden noticed a terrible tiredness after eating his 40th plate quickly. He immediately got up from the table and returned to his room. Then he lay down on his bed and lost consciousness.
