Asha was weak and at her weakest point as she just gave birth to a baby boy. The emperor was on his way to see her but something felt off to her, why was everyone in the room silent. A clap could be heard from behind the curtains as a woman with long brown hair and green eyes smiled maliciously at her.
"Ailisha....what are you doing here...?" stated Asha as she looked at the woman in front of her. The servants around her remained quiet but Ailisha smile couldn't be contained.
"I came to take a look at my newphew. Oh I mean son." Ailisha voice oozed with malicious intent as she crossed her arms.
Asha breathing became heavy as her eyes flickered to her trusted maid Savi that ran up to Ailisha as she quickly kneeled in front of the all powerful consort.
"Your royal grace you can't the Empress is weak and the Emperor is coming please no!" the Savi trembled.
Ailisha kicked the maid away as she advanced towards Asha as she ordered the maids and gaurds to hold back the maids with the physicians in the Empress chamber.
"Hand me the child, Asha, you have no choice. You'll die anyways of childbirth we can make your death look like a freak accident."
Asha clenched her teeth as she smirked cunningly.
"If I die...the emperor will never love his noble consort that killed his empress." stated Asha as she heard footsteps draw closer to her living quarters the sound of the baby crying could drown out the sound but Asha knew in her final moments
"In this harem, the Emperor can only have so many concubines and I don't want to die in an ungraceful way don't take it personally sister you're already weak. Servants! Quick hold her down and prepare me the bowl of poison that kills concubine since we can't burn her at a stake!" Ordered Ailisha as she watched the servants.
"You dare!" screamed Asha as the servants held her down forward. Ailisha face showed malice as she grabbed Asha's face and shoved the contents of the bowl down her throat.
"Enjoy your death, Empress Asha."
Asha accepted her fate as she heard the curtains shift open quickly. Emperor Nuru, her only love through this life was finally here but too late.
"Asha! My dear sorry-" Nuru stopped midway as he startled Ailisha as she dropped the bowl of poison. "Ailisha is this how you harm your sister!!"
"Y-Your majesty, why are you here?" stated Ailisha as she try to conceal what she have done.
"I came to see how Asha's child birth is doing and the birth of my first child. What are you doing here?" Nuru asked suspicously as he try to glance behind Ailisha he narrowed his eyes as he saw Asha wasn't moving.
"Well, I wanted to see how my sister was doing and she went crazy after birthing the royal heir so I wanted to personally coach her to drink the medication to calm her."
The maids grew a bit nervous as they let go of Asha and so did Ailisha as Asha moved a bit.
"Didn't listen to her, my love it's poison!" Asha went into a coughing fit as Nuru shoved Ailisha aside she panicked.
Asha's lips stained black as the blood poured out her mouth staining the sheets on the bed.
"Nuru, promise to take care of our child." Asha coughed even more as she looked up at Nuru from her wayward posture.
"My love." Nuru eyes filled with tears as he quivered in place. "I will always love you."
"Asha?"
Nuru clenched the sheets as maids mourned their dead Empress and Ailisha slumped to the ground as she knew what will happen to her as a news worthy of shockinghim that made him do the unthinkable.
"Your majesty, your son has stopped breathing the fumes from the poison, the Empress has drunk has caused him to have respiratory issues." stated the royal doctor as he ran in to warn Nuru slowly raised his head not facing him.
"Hear my decree...Ailisha has done evil to the royal family she shall be beheaded after her sister's funeral!"
Ailisha just realized what she down sank to her knees with her eyes widdened as she shuffled to Nuru's side to grab his cloak.
"No!! Your majesty!! I was wrong!!" Screamed Ailisha as she was grabbed by the back of her collar to get up and thrown in front of Asha's lifeless body.
"What you done wrong was harming your sister in the first thing! She was pure, she was kind, she was my only love! Gaurds take her away!"
Ailisha screamed as she was forced to the prison and she knew she had done wrong but still she was in denial that she got caught.
The servants mourned loudly as Asha's spirit was holding her child's spirit.
"My child I'm sorry, we couldn't live this life in peace, I promise in the next life we shall." like a whisper from Asha's last breath. Nuru slowly lifted his head briefly as if he heard Asha's voice only to see Asha's lifeless body again.
"ASHA!!!!" A scream can be heard as Nuru sobbed.

A young girl woke up in her home as she was dressed in a long red skirt with gold trims and a halter top, her nails painted, the eyeliner under her amber eyes was vibrant with a viel of gold with red. She heard familar screaming outside her door.
"Asha will be the Empress and that's final!" A familar voice was screaming causing Asha to widden her eyes as she smiled to herself trembling. She realized she has been sent 7 years ago in the past she was 14.
"But Ailisha would be as much as a perfect canidate even perfect Empress!" Another familar voice that made Asha grimace in dismay.
Asha ran outside of her room as soon as she pushed the curtains away to her father. "Daddy!" She screamed as she greeted the male figure.
"Adom! You can't do this to Ailisha!" A woman who tugged a young girl 1 years younger then Asha.
Adom looked at the woman with such a headache as he sighed heavily.
"Rashida, Asha is the best canidate don't make me repeat myself. Besides Nuru just ascended the throne as Emperor of the North Dessert territory. Ailisha will be a Queen Consort. We are lucky our family has been choosen."
Asha grimaced at Rashida as she remembered in her last life Rashida beaten her, drugged her and let the boys of the mansion Amair household make a fool out of her.
Ailisha looked teary eyed as she tilt her head in such as a manner to make herself weak as she covered her face with her silk arm sleeve.
"Father, it is fine if I'm not Empress, I only wish happiness for sister Asha and I am thankful for the position of Noble Consort." stated Ailisha as she pouted.
"See! Adom, look at how virtuous Ailisha is compared to that unmannered child! She is worthy of being Empress" Screamed Rashida as she held Ailisha who weeped graceful.
"Father, I love the position of Empress if sister wants it she can have it. So sad, I wanted mother to be happy." Asha said graceful as she courtsey with a sad expression.
"Don't let them bully you Asha, you just despised Asha's success as Empress you treat her as if she was never my child just a bastard. Leave you annoying woman!"
Adom was annoyed as he walked away from the scene with Asha in tow as he held her close to him as they walked around the courtyard.
"Father..." In Asha's last life Adom was always involved but died a few days after she was crowned on her Empress coronation. It was Rashida as soon as Adom came home with much gold and treasures from his last battle she was caught having an affair with a man and the man killed Adom.
"My dear promise to be good in the palace. I'll come see you on coronation day in a month as you are the Empress. You and your sister is apart of the harem for now. There will be 6 other girls with you and Ailisha." Stated Adom as he walked through the garden. "Promise me you will be good and protect your sister
..." As they sit down on the edge of a pound in the courtyard.
Asha hesitated as she looked directly at her father. If only her father knew, she sighed then with an effort to lie to her dear father.
"I promise, father."
A servant comes up to the father and daughter as she bowed, Asha's eyes widdened it was Savi.
"Savi, is everything ready?" stated Adom as he help Asha up.
"Yes, Milord." Savi bowed as she guided the pair to the carriage where Ailisha was already sitting in a huff.
"Hurry, Asha we are going to be late to greet the Empress Dowager on her first day!" Ailisha said annoyed.
Asha hugged her father tearfully then ran off as her hand slipped out of her father's warm hands. Asha got in the carriage and waved tearfully.
'Father, if you knew of the hell and torment I got from being the favored Empress. The punishments from the Empress Dowager that Nuru had the voucher for me. The framings that Ailisha had conspired with the lower concubines. I wish you were reborn like me.'
Asha closed her eyes and leaned her head on Savi's shoulder as the journey to the mystical Northern Desert Palace was a long journey and she didn't want to hear her sister's bickering.
