Chapter 59 - - Bad habits -

Bad habits

(n.) A settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up.

Bad habits,

They're hard to get rid,

Just when you think you're done,

When you thought they left,

Dark thoughts start creeping in.

Bad habits,

I call them the devil's trick,

He doesn't seem to like it when we're happy,

So he breaks us and the cycle repeats,

Then he just sits back and laughs.

Bad habits,

She's been clean for a year,

No dark thoughts,

Right when she's happy the devil smiles,

He then says "Let's make this fun shall we".

Bad habits,

Not today he says,

Pushing her over the ledge,

Seeing her struggle,

That's what fuels his hunger.

Bad habits,

She tries her best,

She ignores his calls,

She cries herself to sleep,

To avoid the loud thoughts.

Bad habits,

There they stand,

Face to face,

Will today be the day,

Where she breaks in the end?
