Caged,
I feel trapped,
24/7,
I Gotta look over my back.
Caged,
Like a bird I'm trapped,
I'm never allowed to roam free
I can never get my wings back.
Caged,
My whole life,
I've been imprisoned,
By invisible shackles called depression.
Caged,
I keep this a secret,
My writing I mean,
This is my only source of freedom or peace.
Caged,
They will never know,
Cause if they do,
They'll just take control.
Caged,
Writing helped me,
Clear my head,
For that I'm thankful I'm not dead.
Caged,
Do this, do that,
They always say
What about what I want to say?
Caged,
I want to break free,
Maybe not today,
But there's hope for someday.
