Crystal opened her eyes when she heard a dragon land close to them. She realised she had fallen asleep and the forest was no longer protecting them. She looked around and realised she was in an unfamiliar room and there on her bed was Soleil fast assleep. She tried to get up but realised she was, tied up in chains.
A maid came in caring a silver tray with food but in her panic and anger, she threw the silver tray to the floor. Rosa came to visit her later and said, "you need to eat." Crystal in her anger shouted at her, "you think keeping me in chains will change things. I trusted you and you betray me. If I get out you will all pay for killing every one of my family," Cyrstal shouted.
A healer gave Crystal something to let her sleep and Rosa stood in tears outside her room. "This isn't what a golden rider should be doing. You betrayed her and betrayal is impossible to overcome," she said. "Crystal will learn and the sooner the better," a golden rider said.
