Walking to back to the house filled with screams and tears. As I walk the roads, streets and houses are all silent, It is needed to be silent. When, I reach the house I opened the black gate and stared at the house in front of me. The roof is covered with black, the walls are white, The grass that is no longer green makes the house look awful. My Okaasan hasn't been doing the house chores recently. It happened when Otousan talk to him last month.. I always wondered what did Otousan said to Okaasan.
I just smiled because I want Okaasan to see the huge star in my hand because I did a good job at school. My teacher said I am very good at writing my name and also writing numbers! I want Okaasan to be proud of me!
Just when I opened the door I heard screams.. "AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
It seems It came up stairs! I think it was Okaasan's voice! Is there a kidnapper or robber?! I hurriedly run at the stairs and went to Okaasan's room.
"'K-Kaasan?" I said in my low voice so the robber won't hear it.
"N-neee, 'Kaasan—" I froze when I saw Okaasan's body in the ceiling.
"Okaasan! Don't scare me like that!hmph, Look 'kaasan I earned a big star from Ferren-sensei because I know how to write my name and also numbers!" I said sounding happy.
My smile was flasttered at my face while I saw Okaasan at the ceiling, Is she still playing tricks with me again? hmph!
"Okaasan, Don't play anymore! I will call onii-san, 'kay?" I didn't receive any replies though.
Why isn't she talking? Is this part of the game? I hate this game hmph!
"Okaasan, why is there red water under your body? Okaasan? Neee—"
"—'Kaasan, Tadaima!" I heard Onii-san's voice.
I hurriedly went to down stairs to see Akiro-niisan taking of his shoes while still holding his backpack.
"Neee, Onii-san." I said pouting.
"Nani?" he said while putting his backpack at the floor and look at me.
"When I came home I heard a scream upstairs and I hurriedly went upstairs and only saw 'Kaasan playing a game hmph! But she wasn't talking can you make 'Kaasan stop the game—"
Before I could finish mu sentence he ran upstairs with a panicking aura. What happened to him? Leaving me here while I was still talking! Shitsureidesu ne!
I just followed him upstairs while admiring the big star at my hand, I'm really excited about what will Okaasan say! She always compliment me about how brilliant I am and how beautiful I am hehe! And I would just smile at her not because of the compliment she said is because when she compliment me there is always a smile flasterred on her face, And It really made me happy that she's happy.
When I entered 'Kaasan's room, Onii-san was on the phone while standing infront of Okaasan. "Neee, Onii-san why are you just standing there? Can you tell 'Kaasan to stop the game anymore?"
Onii-san look at me and smiled, "Nee, Kira, 'Kaasan is not playing a game." he said while tears began to shed on his cheek.
"Ha?Nani Shittenda?"
"Okaasan is sleeping..."
"Then, wake her up!"
Tinignan ko si Okaasan na nagtatanong na ekspresyon. "Nee Okaasan, wake up... I'm about to show you my stars that I achieve at school!"
If Okaasan don't wake up now I would be sad hmph!
"Kira..."
Tinignan ko si Onii-san nang bigla syang lumuhod at tumingin sakin habang hinawakan niya ang kamay ko. "Anong problem, Onii-san?"
He showed me a smile flasttered at his face while a tear is slowly falling from his cheeks. Nagpanic ako at sinubukan punasan ang mga luha na nahuhulog mula sa pisngi niya. "Bakit ma umiiyak?"
"Okaasan is sleeping, okay? She will be sleeping for a long time and will be looking after us. So, be a good girl and achieve more at school so Okaasan will be happy looking at you, okay?"
I just nodded and look at Okaasan again before I heard some loud noises outside...
The first thing I knew is Okaasan being drag into a truck while his body was covered with black blanket.
"Rest well, Okaasan!" I yelled.
