That night, she finally slept peacefully because of the medicines that Dra. Kyline gave it to her.
"Hey, are you okay now? Althea said you went to your doctor, again." Mark approached her when she entered the lobby. She just finished her room services.
"Yes. I'm fine." She said while checking the guest's list.
"I am on the midnight shift at that time. When I arrived, it was already settled." He said. She put the lists back and faced him. Mark Ronio, One of her good friends, here in Manila. A very go-lucky guy, kind and caring, and a good-looking guy. Curly hair, tall, moreno, and well, his voice can attract girls.
She looked around. There were a few men in black suits guarding the hotel. "Extra guards," Mark said.
She just nodded at him. She does not want to talk about what happened last week.
"That happened last week. How come they still didn't dismiss them? Some of our guests are bothered and uncomfortable with them because of their presence. I find it okay because you know nobody knows what will happen." He talked before going back to work. She just sighed and looked at the guards again before returning to her work.
Past three o'clock in the afternoon, Manager Yra suddenly announced an emergency meeting. The reason why all the employees were in her office.
"Because of last week's incident, The CEO will be having a visit today." She announced that slightly shocked them. She also felt pressure, especially from Manager Yra. Well, because of the humor, the CEO of the Pyeha Hotel is scary.
"I want all of you to be ready. Don't do any commotion. Penelope." She warned after she dismissed them.
"Why me..." Lady heard Penelope murmuring. She bit her lower lip to prevent herself from laughing.
They went back to the places that were assigned to them. Althea at the counter, Mark and Pauline in-room services on different floors. Lady and Manager Yra will greet and will accompany the CEO.
A few minutes before the CEO arrived, she went to Althea. Manager Yra was fixing some things in her office.
"Oh my gosh, will he go here? The CEO of Pyeha Hotel? That's new. He always sent his secretary if something happened or even in a meeting but now, he will go himself."
"Have you already seen him?" Lady asked. Althea tilted her head, thinking if she saw the CEO or not.
"Once. Just a glimpse. Even though it was just his back that I saw, I can tell that he's handsome and hot." She said then laughed in a flirty way. She just shook her head.
After a few minutes, Manager Yra came. Some men in black went to the entrance and fell in line so they went to the entrance also. A black Ashton Martin parked in front of the entrance. The driver went out and opened the backseat door. A tall and brooding man got out of the car. Manager Yra and some guards were stiff. She also felt it. His presence screams authority, wealth, and danger. He was very intimidating.
The guards bowed as well as Manager Yra and so she was.
"Welcome, Mr. Lancaster." Manager Yra said.

"So, will you visit your hotel again? But this time as their CEO and not a guest?" Kieffer asked Tyler one more time.
"Should I come, too?"
"No. I can manage. I'll just call you." Kieffer just nodded at him.
"Do you think she will recognize you? She saw you there that night, right?" Tyler tapped his fingers on his table.
"I doubt that. She was… too preoccupied when she looked in our direction." He said and stood up to get ready. He already informed his secretary about what he was going to do. Kieffer just stared at his friend.
"Be easy on her, bro. She was badly traumatized just like Dra. Kyline said. We can't force her, Tyler. That will make her suffer more."
"How about me? Didn't we suffer more than her?" Tyler said before leaving his friend at his office. Kieffer just shook his head.

Lanie lifted her head to see the man in front of them, their eyes met. She felt the coldness in his brown eyes. She immediately avoided his eyes but... his eyes, his eyes were familiar to her.
"Good afternoon. I assumed that you already knew why I visited today." Said a baritone voice.
"Y-yes, Mr. Lancaster. This way, please." The guards left. They move to the office of the CEO. Together with them were the CEO's secretary and one of the CEO's bodyguards.
"Ah! By the way, Sir. This is Lanie Dyce Vergara. You can call her Lady. One of our hoteliers here." Due to nervousness, Lanie only nodded and smiled a little at him. He just stared at her, the reason why she averted her gaze away. She can't stare at his eyes for too long. It gives her... different feelings.
Tyler sensed the nervousness in Lanie but this girl managed to smile at him. For a few seconds, he was amused at her. He knew this girl was trying hard to hide her real emotions and feelings but she sucked at doing it. One look at her and he can see her true feelings and also her soul in those almond eyes of hers. She is easy to read.
Lanie doesn't know why she was there together with them. The only thing she knew was that she would just welcome the CEO but she didn't know that she would be needed here... in his office. Mr. Lancaster sat on his swivel chair while they were standing in front of him. His secretary stood on his left side while his bodyguard remained outside his office.
"Explain." He said with so much authority.
"Uh, Sir, the case was already closed immediately. The victim was killed by her best friend because of the victim's father. A family affair." Manager Yra said. Mr. Lancaster just... nodded.
"Ms. Vergara," Lanie quickly put her attention to him when he called her.
"They said that your statements helped them a lot to figure out the incident. Is that true?"
"I only said what I saw, Sir." He was looking at her darkly, causing her not to look at him properly.
"Good. Your voice gave them justice causing the crime to solve quickly. I hope you are always like that." Tyler said to her. He smirked when he noticed her reaction.
Lanie froze for seconds because of what he said. It was a compliment but why does she feel like there is another meaning to that?
"U-Uhm, yes, Sir." Luckily she managed to smile at him without faking it.
Later on, Tyler gave a signal for them to finally leave because they will discuss something important about managing the hotel. She can finally loosen up.
