Audrey's POV
"Let me go ya crazy blonde!"
"Give me one good reason why the hell I'd do that?"
"Because having me around would give you wrinkles blondie, we both know you don't want cracks on that plastic face of yours"
"Haha, I see that black girl didn't train you to respect your elders, did she?"
"That 'black girl's' name is Doughnut and she did. She also taught me respect is earned, so blonde kidnappers don't get any!" I said and spat on her sparkly red shoes.
Her hand rose as if she was gonna hit me but stopped midway. She took in a breath dramatically and I rolled my eyes.
"Scared ya daddy's gonna beat ya blondie? Oi, you look like you're gonna piss yourself, Tsk, do it outside! no one wants to smell your lady piss"
Light chuckles filled the room, probably coming from the stone faced guards coughing into the fists.
"Listen to me you little piece of shit, do you seriously-"
"Please leave, your ugliness is affecting the rooms atmosphere, the air's even starting to taste bitter" I said with a disgusted face.
"Fucking son of a... Argh!"
"Say it blondie! Cat your tongue?"
"Well fuck you! This is why I hate kids" she grumbled as she stormed towards the iron door.
"Get lost ya ugly blonde! And take that fishy smell with you!" I yelled even though she smelled like strawberry and powder.
She flashed me an icy glare while I wrinkled my nose like something smelled bad, her lips quivered angrily as she stormed out of the room making sure to bang the iron door.
I let out a sigh of relief and sat cross-legged on the bench beneath the large hook my hands were tied up to above my head. Once I got comfortable, I turned my attention to my next targets.
"Hey guys, I bet you've never had to take care of kids before so why don't you loosen these ropes and let me go use the little boys room myself?" I said to the 9 men assigned to guard me by that senile old geezer.
They ignored me.
"Want me to do it here? I don't mind, I'm a kid, crap doesn't phase me, especially mine...yunno my big Sis does like to say my shit stinks like a healthy growing boy, guess I'll be getting your opinion soon" I said smiling smugly.
Resting my head on my my raised arm, I stared out of the small window high across me where I could see the top of a huge building with a Madison Inc sign hanging in Black and white.
What do I do here?
How's anyone gonna find me like this?
Doughnut... Please don't do anything dangerous... I'll make it out somehow... And I'll keep you safe! I promise.
My stomach tightened. Smirking at the guards, I let out a long nice fart.
"Yeeeeah, that's the stuff!" I yelled feeling quite relieved. I laughed my heart out as I watched them gag and try to hold their breath. "Hahahaha, oh my God so you should see your faces!" I laughed with tears trickling down my face between laughs.
Wiping it off, I smirked at them and spread my legs "Trust me guys, there's plenty where that came from... So, you gonna let me use the little boy's room or what?".
*********************************
One week earlier.
Ever since Nate got back, Doughnut's smile had felt brighter than the sun. She'd laugh, dance and even attempted cooking more often... not that her kitchen disasters had improved, but she seemed happier and bit more creative with it.
"Uh Chocolate, what did you just put in the stew?"
"Tumeric! I heard it has good vitamins and antioxidants, and they're good for growing boys"
"Uh right... but, don't you think a whole root is too much?, you didn't even cut it babe"
"oh-uhm, d-does that mean you won't try it?"
"Ofcourse I'll try it honey, I'm just trying to help, please don't make that face" Nate says while his eyes search the door for me. He blinks twice and I turn back to my room, whip out my phone and order Pizza from the Italian restaurant a couple blocks away. It should arrive just before one of us finally kicks the bucket.
Asides Doughnut and Nate's love affair, other things were also quite peaceful. The gang had been successful in all 28 raids across the city which gave our street cred a huge boost, it also affected my sister's code name ("Banks") despite her not participating at all. School was also peaceful, with Evie making a fuss about us wearing matching outfits to the party since I told her i'd be attending with my sister's boyfriend, who'd be attending there for business. We decided we'd go with royal blue since it matched her eyes... she didn't blush as much but from her eyes, I felt I'd earned some kind of brownie points.
The day of the event, Nate and I were all dressed up in our blue tuxes and polished black shoes, Doughnut had our hairs styled like superman and sent us off with a kiss on the cheek... Nate got greedy but I smacked him back to his senses.
----
The event hall was huge, easily the largest building I've ever stepped in. The chandeliers shone brightly hanging extremely high over our heads. The lights made the environment look expensive, also with the strong smell of fancy perfumes and bright shiny curtains scattered around the place.
I held Nate's hand and let him guide me up to the mainhall...which thankfully wasn't as unneccesarily bright.
"Audrey!" a familiar voice yelled, joined by rapid clip-claps of glass slippers. I turned towards the sound and there she was... a 10 year old Cinderella pounding her feet against the tiles in my direction.
"So that's your girl...well done little done man" Nate said and patted my shoulder. "Just who are calling li- oofph!" Evie and I fell to the ground, thankfully with her on top of me.
"Ahh, Audrey! are you hurt, I didn't mean to-"
"I'm f-fine Evie, just get off me okay?"
"R-Right, I'm really sorry!" she said as she got off me, Nate helped me up and dusted me off before heading over to his business partners, leaving me alone with the pouty-faced blondie.
"I'm really-"
"Sorry? I know. I heard you the first time you said time you said it. Listen, You look really pretty in that cinderella outfit but I didn't come here for that mousey cinderella lady, I'm here for that reckless, fussy and pretty Blondie called Evie, who just happens to also have blonde hair and blue eyes like Cinderella. That person knows how much I don't like to hear her apologize". I said and tucked back a stray strand of hair from her face.
Her cheeks turned a light shade of red making her look a little clownish, but I forced my self not to laugh and ruin her mood.
"So uhm, I got here a little earlier and I sampled some of the food here, you wanna try? Our host is running late so we can kill some time on our own" Evie said with her face still nearly resembling a tomato.
"Sure, shall we milady?" I asked and offered her my hand and what I hope was a charming smile. Her blush disappeared and her lips stretched into the widest playful smile i'd ever seen on her face.
"Yes, we shall!" she said and placed her soft hands in mine.
We had so much fun that night, yet, for some reason, I felt watched from time to time, but I chose to ignore it this once, it could have been Nate's doing.... at least that's what I thought.
----
Two days later, a strange woman showed up in my classroom and asked to have a word with me. The strangest part was the fact that she looked just like me, right down to her the color of her eyes.
"I'm sorry to disturb your class kids, I'm looking for Audrey Price" she said as her eyes roamed the class and landed on me. I could tell she was studying me with that stony face because I also have that look. We stared at each other wordlessly for a moment until Evie drew my attention.
"Audrey, what's going on? Who is she?" Evie whispered to me with worry in her voice as her eyes darted from me to the strange woman and back.
If there was a chance this could be related to the gangs, then I can't let my classmates get roped into this.
That's what I thought, I didn't realise the situation was way worse.
I stood up and led her out to the hallway, but, as I turned to speak to her, a pair of strong arms grabbed me from behind and the world went dark.
