Spencer aroused and looked down at herself, she turned to her friends and was relieved to see them alive and safe. Trying to walk, she realized she was floating in the air, she screamed and was startled as Aria woke up with a fright.
Aria turned to her friend and not realizing their situation, yelled at Spencer. "I am trying to sleep here Spence. Gosh, you think you could keep it down". Sighing to herself, she turned her head trying to get comfortable. Her eyes caught the sight of the ground, she realized she was floating high above the ground.
Her mouth opened but no words was heard, like a silent scream.
Spencer knew Aria must be really freaked out. She was tempted not to wake Zoe, because she knew the damage Zoe would make to her ear drums.
Silently crying, she gently slapped Amos, then Sawyer and finally Zoe. She watched as they looked around confused, it only took the teens two seconds to realize their situation. Amos handled it well, while Sawyer handled it- well in a Sawyer way, he freaked out. Just like Zoe was doing presently.
She turned away, not ready for the mellow drama Zoe would display.
Aria sighed as she crawled closer to her sister, she took her hands in hers and held on tight. Normally, Amos would be doing this but at the moment she knew he was emotionally unavailable.
"Hey, look at me". Aria waited patiently for her sister to turn her attention on her before she continued. "It's alright okay? Everything is going to be fine. We will find a way out of this, whatever this is, okay? Breathe, that's it. In and out, in and out, in and out. Good, that's it".
Zoe listened to her sister, as she followed her instructions.
She felt better now. Nodding slowly, she smiled at Aria and thanked her.
She slowly let go of her and turned to the group, to ask the questions that's been bothering her since she aroused. "Do any of you know how we got here?"
Amos grabbed Zoe's hand as he fearfully looked down one more time. Shaking his head, he answered her. "No, the last thing I can recall was Aria telling us a story of that guy Darius".
The teens agreed with his words, they had no idea how they got to this side of the woods and most importantly why they were floating high above the ground.
Zoe snuggled closer to Amos, scared out of her mind. All she really wanted to do was go home and crawl under her blanket. "Is there a way we can get down from here, I am starting to get acrophobic?"
"Zoe, do you think if I knew of a way to get down, I would let myself float magically above the ground?" it wasn't really question but Spencer was starting to get a little angry at Zoe's annoying questions"
Sawyer who had been quietly freaking out, stared at the group an idea coming to mind. "Let's jump guys"
"What?"
"Are you freaking crazy?"
Ignoring Amos and Aria, he turned to the one person he knew would find reason in his thoughts.
Spencer
"Come on baby, you have to agree with me, just think about it. I am not saying we should jump to our death. No, my idea is just to jump".
"No matter how many ways I look at it, I don't think your words or sentence makes any sense at all".
"Think babe. What if, we can use our body as some kind of rope?"
Spencer's nose twitched as his idea became clearer to her. "To which we all connect our bodies to, until the last person touches the ground" Spencer squealed and kissed her boyfriend in joy. "Gosh, you are a genius".
Aria smirked and turned to her sister to murmur "That's a word I never thought could be used to describe Sawyer".
The twins laughed as they watched Spencer brainstorm through whatever crazy idea she was hatching. In truth, they did not understand what Spencer and Sawyer were planning. But a plan is better than nothing.
Shrugging, Aria had to ask. "What's the plan?"
Giving her best friend her top smile, she answered loud enough for everyone to hear. "I can't really explain this to you, so I will just give instructions while you follow".
Seeing her friends weren't buying her words, she added. "Come on guys, trust us. Have we ever let you down before?"
Amos and Aria raised their eyebrows, while Zoe commented. "It's not like we don't trust you. Is just that Sawyer has let us down before".
"A lot of times". Aria added and Amos nodded eagerly to that.
Not finding it offending, Sawyer smirked. "Not to rub it on your faces but this is the only plan we've got. So, are you guys in or not?"
Amos who had been quiet was not buying the idea of using their body as some kind of rope. He would admit he was more into sports than science but he still called bullshit on their plan.
"I honestly don't see how it makes sense. Like doesn't this defy the law of gravity or something?"
"What do you know about law of gravity dude". Aria had to ask, the thought alone made her smile.
"I'm just saying there's no way this would work. I mean using our body as some kind of rope, connecting each other until we reach the ground. Who's going to be on top? Who's jumping first? Are we going to die failing at this?" Amos took a breath and continued. "It's just too many chances okay".
Spencer was tired of hearing him complain about the plan they had like there was a better option. "I'm not hearing you coming up with a better idea cause I'm all ears dude. I don't know what you want from me. We have to try something cause in case you haven't noticed we're floating on nothing! We don't know when it will give in and we probably fall to our death. So, if you have a better plan I'm all ears, otherwise shut up Amos".
Hearing Spencer snap, Sawyer knew that she was at her breaking point. She wasn't one to yell at anyone. He knew he had to do something to calm the situation. "Look guys, lets give it a shot okay? I mean what do we have to lose?"
He smiled at everyone's angry look. At least he had succeeded in calming the situation a little.
Ignoring Sawyer, Zoe quietly touched Amos. "Babe, lets just give it a try okay?"
Staring at Zoe's calm beautiful expression, he withdrew and simple nodded.
"Okay then. Let's do this shit". Sawyer said.
Sighing, they nodded.
Aria thought what else could be possibly go wrong?
