Indeed, they have dragged everything into the small house and pointed at the cloudy sky over their heads.
"Sister, let's get inside. I fear that soon the rain will fall and we will get wet." Alice pointed at the cloudy sky.
Dark clouds slowly started gathering over their heads and they helped their older sister stand up.
She furrowed her eyebrows as she realized how wet her body was. "Quickly, bring the blanket into the house. I need to drag barbeque there. Luckily it has wheels. I'm already wet so it's fine. Go prepare dry clothes for me."
The two girls nodded and rushed into the house. One went to look for towels and one for her underwear and clothes.
Luckily the weather was just windy for now and when she arrived at the house, the rain just started releasing a couple of droplets.
Just as she dragged the thing inside the room and closed the door, she could hear the rain falling stronger and stronger and sighed in relief.
But when she saw the mess in the house, she rubbed her temples. The girls dragged everything inside and just left it there.
"Let me change clothes and prepare something warm to eat." She turned around and suddenly saw Alice making a fire in the nearby open fireplace.
Luckily it was made out of stone so there was not a big problem with fire.
Just then she realized something. "Wait for a second, where did you get firewood?"
The two girls smiled and pointed at the nearby window. "In the back of the house is a whole row of nicely stacked cut firewood. I just brought enough inside so we can make one fire. I will open the cans and just heat the food for now."
Basic cooking meant she could make simple dishes like pancakes, frying meat, eggs, coking a simple stew and lighting fire.
Not even making bread was involved in that.
And something else she knew.
How to make fire.
Anna Gale calmly accepted her and anxiously looked at her struggling with opening cans and realize that this kid might have learned some cooking, but not other things.
"Let me open three cans. We worked a lot today and I'm starving. Tomorrow we need to check the surroundings. Or better said I need to do that. You two have one and only one duty." She pointed at their tired eyes. "Rest."
Michelle Gale was about to complain, but Anna Gale stopped her.
She rose her head towards the door and sighed. "We don't know are here snakes or other dangerous things. This place might look amazing but we don't know... What the hell?"
Suddenly a screen opened up in front of her eyes and she glanced at the two girls in wonder. "What is this?"
The twins looked at her with a. sheepish smile.
"This is the third thing that creature gave us. A warning system or better said map of surroundings of our house. Look, it shows literally whole surroundings, including a nearby castle, the village, a small city and a part of the forest. It said we all can look at how he never we are in this surroundings. Sister, look, I can make it closer and see animals and people."
She toughed the floating screen and she showed their house and literally every detail of the house, surroundings and even the few wild animals that were nearby.
Few my foot.
There is a whole flock of wild pigs not even a few miles of them, couple dozen of rabbits and a bunch of wildlife like pheasants, fowls and quails.
Even one pond a bit further into the forest was shown with a bunch of geese and ducks.
"I could make some traps and hunt them, but I heard that in past the animals were forbidden to be hunted until hunting season. I rather not touch any of it until I ask the noble."
Ana looked at the small castle on top of a stony hill and knew it will take her quite a time to arrive there.
"If I go there, the two of you must stay here. You have this screen and can see me all the time. But before we truly settle down, we must ask for this piece of land before he doesn't find someone to live here." She really liked this house.
It was literally perfect for the three of them.
It was one room and as it seems one room under the roof as well.
"I'm going up to see what we have there."
The rain slowly started stopping down and the sunshine against shone directly at her house.
Through the gaps in the closed window, she saw literally an empty space and made a decision. "I'll wash the ground and we can sleep here upstairs. There is no mattress, but until the door opens, we must wait."
She took one plastic bowl they had and went out. As expected outside the walkway became muddy and she jumped from one grass bushel to other to get to the stream.
There she carefully grabbed some water and went back into the house.
Even though the stream was not far from their new house, it was elevated and even if there is large rainfall, the house was safe.
She came back, took one of her old, broken shirts she accidentally grabbed and went up.
The two girls didn't know what to do to help her. "Sister, is there anything we could do to help?"
"No. Watch over the food so it won't burn. As soon I'm done we can eat." This upper room was only a few square meters and it was not hard washing it.
By the time she slowly went down the steep stairs, the food was ready and the bowl was filled with literally muddy water.
Just as she opened the door to throw the dirty water away, the wind started blowing strongly again and she shook. She still didn't change the clothes and still wore the same thing since she rolled on the ground.
With determination, she took one pot and started walking straight towards the river under heavy gusts of wind.
The pot was filled again with the clear water from the stream and came back inside. "I need to wash my hair and body. I guess I rolled in too much dirt."
They agreed right away.
Of course, they saw her running here and there like that but didn't want to say anything.
The food was ready so she put the other pots over the stones and let the water warm up while outside another set of rain started falling...
