Chapter 2 - House Sorting

We arrived at the School at 6 pm. We headed to the sorting room as Professor Backer called us to. At the sorting room we were scared that a roof would crash open by a laser. That was mostly because the room was full of red light. We discovered in the account notifications that Professor Barker had sent us a house quiz. This was to sort us into different houses.

The questions were not really hard. The first one was: Would you prefer coding or counting? I would definitely choose coding. This got me into the second question: Would you prefer to chat on discord or spend your time making a game? My answer was to make games. Jacob answered the same answers as me.

I was sorted into the house Turing 1. The person we met earlier that I made earlier got sorted into the group Turing 2. I got 20 points in the class leaderboard for myself and got 20 for Turing 1 for being the first one to complete the quiz. Jacob got 15 for himself and 15 for Turing 1 too. We met another person named Jake. He got 10 points for himself and 10 for Turing 1. We were winning in the house leaderboard with 45 points.

I, Jacob and Jake played some games on our laptops for hours. Then when I glanced at the time, I saw that it was already 8 o'clock. I went on the school app to order some dinner and we ate a happy dinner. This was the first day of the school year. I was just so happy and I wish tomorrow would come soon so we could do some coding and earn some points for our house, Turing 1.

But Lovelace 2 were catching up the leaderboard with 40 points. We feared that they might catch up to Turing 1. We were led to our houses by our house leaders. Our house leader was Professor Backer. We were led up to the dorms and we sat there, nothing to do. Then, I came up with an idea: Let's play some games on our laptops. I visited the school app one last time but in the corner, there was a number. I showed the mysterious number to my friends and they both agreed it was a code.
